The Project Overview screen is very helpful. It provides a clear, comprehensive snapshot of a project's status, making it easy to quickly understand what is happening with the project, including financial and operational information. There are several enhancements that would improve efficiency and usability:
On the Project Overview screen, when selecting Create Invoice, it would be helpful if the system automatically opened the invoice creation process for that specific project rather than directing the user to the generic invoice screen and requiring the project to be searched again.
It would be beneficial to allow invoice creation on projects with no recorded time. Currently, users must either enter time on a timesheet or use another workaround before generating an invoice. Allowing a zero-balance invoice that can be manually adjusted would provide greater flexibility.
Under the Projects module, there previously were separate columns for both Project Name and Project ID, with the ability to sort by either field. Restoring this functionality would improve project navigation and searching.
The custom date selection tools could be improved. Some modules use a well-designed format with categories such as Year, Month, Week, and Day, each containing common options like This Year, Last Year, and Year-to-Date. Expanding this user-friendly date selection layout throughout the software would make filtering data much quicker and easier than scrolling through a long list of date options.
