BooksGPT is relatively new to the scene but has the core functionality and ease of use necessary to make it a capable alternative to QBO. I run a tax firm and have been looking to ditch QBO for a long time. I took the plunge a few months ago by converting my own firm’s books to BooksGPT. It is a young product so there have been a few bumps along the way, but I’ve had a good experience working with the support staff who have been quick to respond and tell me what I need, or in several cases to squash a bug or implement an improvement that I ask for. It is becoming more capable and easy to use by the week, and I have high expectations for this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some tasks on it don’t work well on mobile but that is at least partly just because of limited real estate and may be unavoidable. As of Sept 2026 it doesn’t have many options for integration/automation, though Zapier is on the road map which should solve a lot of that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
