What I like most about Bolt.new is how quickly I can go from an idea to a working application. As a lead AI engineer, it’s useful when I want to test a product idea or prototype something without spending a lot of time setting everything up from scratch. I can describe what I want, iterate through the chat, and see the changes immediately in the preview. Performance has also been good for me overall, especially during quick iterations and testing different versions. It’s made the early development process much faster and easier. I think the value is good for the time it saves during the initial development work. Being able to go from an idea to a working full-stack prototype quickly is useful, especially for testing and iterating on concepts without spending as much time on setup and boilerplate. The main thing I’d improve is how Bolt handles more complex changes. Sometimes a small change can create another issue or require a few rounds of prompting to get right. I also like having more control over the code as a project gets more advanced, so for me Bolt is better for prototyping than completely replacing the normal development workflow.
