One of RE NXT’s strongest advantages is its ability to support accurate, efficient data management. The platform streamlines data cleanup by identifying potential constituent matches, supporting duplicate-record resolution, and incorporating National Change of Address (NCOA) functionality directly into the workflow. These capabilities help improve data quality, reduce manual review time, and maintain more reliable constituent records. The Fundraising work center provides a centralized, actionable view for gift officers and fundraisers. By highlighting outstanding actions, open pledges, and portfolio priorities, it helps teams manage follow-up more consistently and focus on high-value donor activity. The inclusion of Prospect Insights in the same area further supports data-informed portfolio growth by helping fundraisers identify and evaluate prospective donors. The dashboard functionality makes performance data more accessible and actionable. Users can quickly review key metrics, drill into underlying records, export results, and create targeted lists for deeper analysis. This supports faster decision-making and enables teams to move from high-level trends to specific constituent or campaign-level insights. RE NXT’s standard reporting tools provide practical access to financial, fundraising, donor, and event data. These reports help teams monitor activity, identify trends, evaluate performance, and generate insights that can inform fundraising strategy, stewardship planning, and operational decisions. The integration between RE NXT and Constant Contact adds operational value by helping keep constituent contact information current and providing visibility into recent email communications. What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT? Blackbaud continues to transition functionality from database view to RE NXT. During this migration, users must work across both environments because several key features are not yet fully available in RE NXT. Constituent record load times also remain a significant operational challenge, particularly when staff need to enter or update large volumes of information efficiently. As a result, I continue to rely on database view for certain data-entry workflows. Blackbaud appears to be aware of these challenges and is incorporating user feedback into its RE NXT development roadmap, including prioritizing high-impact features and improving input processes to make the system faster, more efficient, and more user-friendly. RE NXT helps address the challenge of fragmented donor information by centralizing key constituent data, documentation, and engagement history in one system. This allows staff to quickly access a donor’s record and review the information needed to support informed decision-making and timely follow-up. The ability to attach important documentation within the gift, constituent, action, or opportunity tabs reduces the need to search across multiple locations and improves workflow efficiency. Additionally, adding a donor profile photo supports faster identification during events or meetings, helping staff provide a more personalized and prepared donor experience.
