"Git versioning that is affordable and easy to manage"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Git versioning that is affordable and easy to manage is no small feat. We have been utilizing BitBucket's hosted git service for 2 years. It's super affordable for teams, and super easy. At first, we had been trying to set up our own git server and it was challenging as most of us were designers, not developers.

Using BitBucket made it easy to get into Git and we adopted and evolved our git workflow over time. We now have dozens of hosted git projects on BitBucket and we are very happy with it and how we can add team members easily granting them access to code repos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

There aren't as many bells as whistles as with some competitors as far as hooks, etc. But that really has not come into play in our projects as of yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Reliable Version Control Tool in the Atlassian Ecosystem"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

This is a great tool for managing code versioning with Atlassian. Its seamless integration and accessibility with other Atlassian tools, such as Jira and Confluence, make it a valuable part of the Atlassian ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

This platform doesn't measure up to GitHub. One major drawback is the inability to search for specific pieces of code across multiple repositories, which makes it challenging to find exactly where a certain code segment is located, especially when troubleshooting issues. Additionally, I find it slower than GitHub, particularly when handling large repositories or reviewing complex diffs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Integration and CI/CD, but Performance Can Lag with Large Repos"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

What I appreciate most about Bitbucket is its seamless integration with Jira and the broader Atlassian ecosystem. This makes it very convenient to manage repositories alongside project issues. I also value the clean interface, which makes reviewing pull requests straightforward—the inline comments and diff view are both simple and effective. Another major advantage is the built-in CI/CD pipelines, which allow me to automate deployments without needing to depend on external tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

At times, Bitbucket seems noticeably slower than GitHub, particularly when working with large repositories or examining complex diffs. While the pipelines feature is quite useful, it can occasionally be challenging to navigate, and the error messages are not always very clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

What I like best about Bitbucket is its clean, no-nonsense workflow for pull requests and code reviews. It’s easy to follow changes, leave feedback, and keep discussions focused on the code without a lot of noise. It feels stable and predictable, which makes collaborating with a team smoother and less distracting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

What I dislike about Bitbucket is that it can feel a bit slow and clunky, especially when loading pull requests or browsing large diffs. The UI isn’t always as intuitive as other platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Interface and Effortless Team Collaboration"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

What I like most about Bitbucket is its user-friendly interface, which makes it straightforward to create and manage repositories. It also facilitates teamwork, code reviews, and merging changes, all in a simple and efficient way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

What I don't like about Bitbucket are the limited options for rollback changes or resolving conflicts. Also, I think the documentation could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid Repository management solution"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket’s unified interface consolidates repository management, code review, and CI/CD workflows into a single platform. The side-by-side diff view provides exceptional clarity during code reviews, with inline commenting capabilities that maintain context throughout the review process. Branch permissions and merge checks offer granular access control, ensuring code quality standards are maintained across development teams.

The native Jira integration functionality automatically links commits and pull requests to issue tickets through branch naming conventions or commit messages, eliminating manual tracking overhead. Bitbucket Pipelines delivers integrated CI/CD capabilities with YAML-based configuration, supporting parallel execution and Docker container environments for consistent build processes.

Repository organization through projects enables focused team collaboration while unlimited private repositories on the free tier accommodate small development teams without financial constraints. The platform’s REST APIs and extensive third-party integrations provide flexibility for custom workflow implementations and tool chain extensions.

Smart mirroring capabilities improve performance for distributed teams by creating local repository copies, while Git Large File Storage handles substantial binary assets efficiently. The built-in issue tracker and wiki functionality create comprehensive project documentation environments within the repository context. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Limited third-party integration support compared to competitors restricts ecosystem flexibility, with some popular development tools lacking native Bitbucket connectivity. The pricing structure can become expensive for larger teams, with per-user costs accumulating rapidly as organizations scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Code Versioning but Lacks AI Features"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

I find Bitbucket easy to use with a good UI. I appreciate the integration with other Atlassian tools like Jira and Bamboo, which allows me to see the Bamboo build status directly from Bitbucket and check Jira tickets conveniently through links. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

It's missing some AI features like GitHub has its Copilot. The initial setup was not easy nor difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Bitbucket - an advanced VCS for professional teams"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

The PR experience in Bitbucket is super clean — that’s honestly what I like the most. At Awiros, we do a lot of code reviews, and the side-by-side diff view with inline comments makes it easy to review and collaborate without losing context. The ability to suggest changes directly in comments is a big plus too. It’s fast, doesn’t feel bloated, and gets the job done without distractions. Also, the automatic linking with Jira tickets (just from branch names or commit messages) saves a ton of time — no need to manually connect tasks and code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

While Bitbucket gets the job done, it can feel a bit slow at times — especially when loading large diffs and mobile UI is also not user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User Friendly Version Control Tool"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

From my experience, Bitbucket makes code collaboration much easier. I really like how simple it is to create pull requests, review changes, and track everything through Jira. And security is very good. We use this using ssh keys. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Everything is all good but sometimes the build takes longer time before merging the pr. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Version Control and Seamless Integration"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Bitbucket is very useful for version control and its very easy to use and integrate with other applications. The option to implement code and see all the previous commits make it very helpful in debugging any issue. I am using it on a daily basis to push code and raise PR for other branches. The support provided is also very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

Additional features like cherry picking available on Git can be added Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure & One-stop Repository Management system"
What do you like best about Bitbucket?

Everything about bitbucket is perfect, seamless integration with Jira, easy to collaborate code, code review/walkthrough is also smooth, CI/CD pipeline to indicate if build in the PR is success or needs to be looked into, the list goes on and on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitbucket?

The only thing that's a little difficult is pushing large number of files, altogether in one PR. It make the UI lag a little, often doesn't load correct branch names on UI while creating a pull request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
