BP is excellent in this area and can achieve cross project resource allocation and monitoring. It can build dedicated Gantt chart panels by department to facilitate internal scheduling for vertical functional department management. It can also detect uneven resource allocation issues in a timely manner and make quick adjustments. **What do you dislike about BigPicture?** It needs a long time of learning to flexibly use him, and his permission control requirements are very high. It has allowed us to abandon traditional tools like Microsoft Project and use Gantt charts and the flexibility of Jira for more centralized and efficient project management. It is very easy to set up, practically plug and play, which makes it easy for anyone to start benefiting from it without much initial knowledge. It is extremely powerful thanks to BigPicture boxes that allow information to be grouped at multiple levels, reducing cognitive load and helping to manage more than 800 projects online. I highly value the functionality of the Gantt chart, which is quite comprehensive, and the ability to manage individual capacity including schedule and vacation planning, as well as automated alerts to prevent work overload. The combination of BigPicture with Jira and Google Calendar seems to me an unbeatable solution for managing waterfall-type projects, which would definitely encourage me to recommend it. Finally, the use of the BigPicture API has allowed us to perform automations and offer customized solutions, which is tremendously beneficial for our operations. **What do you dislike about BigPicture?** I am not completely satisfied with the customization capabilities of the reports. However over the last couple of years it has become reliable, to the point now where it has become a critical part of our project management approach. Improvements keep coming, and I have found the support (despite timezone differences) excellent. **What do you dislike about BigPicture?** Not a lot. Sometimes it can be a tad slow to load on the client side. It is non-trivial for new users, but that is the case for all comprehensive technical software. **What problems is BigPicture solving and how is that benefiting you?** Basic waterfall Gantt charting is our main use. This integrates with Jira and is online so that it isn't project plans hidden away on some project managers laptop. It makes updates more team focussed and real-time. ### 8. BigPicture stood out due to its clear interface and integration of Gantt chart. The timelines can be displayed in an organized manner, which enhances the presentation. It is also convenient to adjust the dates on the charts. The information on the entries can be instantly updated to reflect on the Jira side as well. The infrastructure is stable, allowing us to rely on it for our daily work. The support provided by the team has been tremendous, with my tickets being handled overnight. The technicians guided me in identifying and resolving the core issues. I am aware of plans for BP's development to include collaboration with other apps, such as Dashboard Hub, which is also under Appfire's umbrella. This is good news, as it will provide us with more analytical representation through graphs and charts. **What do you dislike about BigPicture?** For our organization currently, we primarily use the Overview page to distinguish the reports from various departments. However, there are certain fields in that view that are not connected to Jira, so we are only able to create customized fields. Additionally, the timelines in the portfolios do not automatically update when we modify the project dates. We need to manually update the dates on the Overview page. **What problems is BigPicture solving and how is that benefiting you?** The customised fields have been invaluable for us in creating a field that contains information not linked to Jira but that we want to display. Our senior management has expressed a desire to review specific information on the Overview page, allowing them to see everything in one platform. Their team has provided effective solutions that are suitable for our current needs. ### 9. Many users can benefit from features like the Scope or Resource modules that can really provide a good overview if implemented correctly. Also, this app might cover some features that you might be missing if using Free or Standard plan on Atlassian Cloud. **What do you dislike about BigPicture?** It might be hard to 'catch up' everything as there are many different features. However, I guess it would cover most use cases people ask for. Also, the design can maybe be a bit improved so it looks more like native Jira. **What problems is BigPicture solving and how is that benefiting you?** Definitely project management on a 'bigger scale'. This 'overview' of the whole project is what is missing on Jira Cloud Standard plan and BigPicture comes quite handy here. Also, Resource module for resource management is quite complex and covers most of the requested functionalities. ### 10. Its integration with JIRA helps to track the entire delivery in a clear and concise manner. It provides Gantt, Scope and Board view of all the projects that are being worked on. It also helps to manage risks and issues and provides a summary picture to Senior Managers on status and timelines of projects through comprehensive reporting. **What do you dislike about BigPicture?** BigPicture takes time to load so its a bit slow. **What problems is BigPicture solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using BigPicture for tracking project delivery, resource management and project and portfolio management.Its integration with JIRA helps to track the entire delivery in a clear and concise manner. The overview of the entire project and portfolio can be viewed along with timelines in a single frame which helps us in project status reporting. The project dates can be directly changed by clicking on the status bar in a Gantt view.
