Batched Inbox is a great help for those who are productivity-minded. It essentially allows you to segment your email into specified delivery dates and times. The result is that email only comes through for me when I want it to, which in return, helps me avoid distractions, especially when at times when I shouldn't be in email (or even work) mode.
