## Basecamp Reviews
  ### 1. Great project task manager great for collaborating with everyone.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luisa H. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

What I like most about Basecamp is its versatility in integration. Almost any other software you use that can be linked to a task or project. This means you can easily track your work and collaborate not only with others on your team, but also with people you work with from time to time, such as IT and support. Basecamp helps you track progress and assign it to the right people, significantly reducing email traffic.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The user interface is what I didn't like about Basecamp. It took me a bit to get over the hurdle of figuring out where everything was. Of course, this is available in all of the tools, but I had more time to learn Basecamp because the design is rather outdated compared to the project management tools asana or monday.com. However, for those who are not extremely tech-savvy, Basecamp is a terrific and straightforward option.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Within the department, we are planning major launches, initiatives, and events. Tasks are completed faster and more efficiently when numerous individuals are involved, and emails have been slashed in half. The key issue I'm attempting to address with Basecamp is the collaborative part of project management. Today, the great bulk of work is done by your team members as well as outside contractors. With Basecamp, you can simply observe what's going on and ensure that the project moves forward, ensuring that no work falls between the gaps.

  ### 2. Collaborate & Communicate on Projects in Basecamp

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony R. | Digital Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp provides cross-functional, collaboration amongst team members within my organization. We can segment projects or teams depending on our needs. It has a desktop application and I use it more than the native website interface.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The UI for the service is pretty bland and has not changed over the years. It may appear stale as a company and not as innovative in creating new features for the service.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp is solving the question of what's the status of a project, what are the steps needed to complete it, or if it's on track. It has allowed us to be able to communicate more openly, and freely with everyone involved in the project.

  ### 3. Good tool, if you subscribe to Basecamps way of thinking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee R. | Co-Founder, Senior Product Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is cheap and simple. It's not a complex tool to use or manage making it an easy tool for anyone to use, whether it be for business, or for a family event.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

At points, it is too simple and you must subscribe to the "basecamp" way of doing things. If you find that particular methodology doesn't work for you, then it's hard you end up fighting to the tool to accomplish tasks

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

Don't try and use the tool for something other than it's made for. As soon as you try fitting Basecamp isn't another shape that it's not meant for, it's a battle.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Early in our business, it gave us a project management tool for our simple early-day needs. It let us do our work without needing to think too hard about setting up the management for particular projects.

  ### 4. Customize, manage and create successful projects with Basecamp.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** miguel p. | Product Development Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is a great function to get work teams in tune, it helps them to always be aware of the jobs, projects and sales generated, because it allows them to follow up, see pending tasks, whether calendars, due dates and file sharing and apart from that it can be used by any organization that needs to manage a workgroup, it also has a very well developed mobile application which is fast to use and establishes itself well developed mobile application which is fast to use and establishes itself very well with any connectivity since it contains a very well built browser.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Its messaging board, which customers use to chat, has some problems because when they use it, it cashes and does not allow them to send messages quickly, which causes them to lose time and inconvenience for not being able to send their messages without problems, they should update the dashboard and add better features, apart from that I would like them to design it much better since the design is a bit boring.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

It is an incredible function to establish good relationships with your clients since it allows your clients to help you with your projects since it offers them to see each progress, each design, each report and management created in that project, for which it is a service authentic since it makes the client feel satisfied and confident, apart from having a very attractive interface, with a very colorful design and a fantastic browser, for which it is a recommended system to improve your projects and obtain positive relationships with your clients.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp is a function that we use in our organization to manage our projects, because it allows us to track, analyze and manage each project carried out, this helps us to know about each generated progress and keeps us aware of each data, idea, design and customization about apart from our projects, its interface is used as an alternative to work with our clients, because its platform is very friendly, it is quick to use, it contains very detailed information about the service and its uses, and it saves us time with our clients.

  ### 5. "This platform is a perfect place to manage your projects!"

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonas L. | Principal Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp has been my favorite alongside other team members because of its ‘client-dedicated projects’ feature. You can create a project that will add your client to it and the communication gap will be filled just like that. Another amazing feature is its built-in communication feature that helps team members to communicate on the platform.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There are many basic as well as advanced missing features that will annoy you and frustrate you as it did at our team. We used Basecamp at the cost of not having no time tracking, analytics as well as labeling tools. I would love to see those features here for better usage of the platform. The customization is not as great here as you would see on other platforms. Customization is a key element that many great project management platforms are providing and because it is not available here, you may need to bear some things which can be easily resolved with that feature.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

Apart from a few major missing, this platform is a perfect place to manage your projects especially if we talk about its unlimited member policy as well as very reasonable pricing plans. You have the best results with dedicated projects and much more benefits.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp is a perfect platform when it comes to creating dedicated projects, working on timelines, and having great communication via the platform as well as you can have a quick solution to your problems with its great customer services team’s help.

  ### 6. Great resource for team collaboration and project management.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abraham G. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is a superb team collaboration tool since it is simple to use and understand. It provides tools that are needed for effective cooperation. Features like as project-specific job scheduling and the ability to keep all documents organized within the project save time and boost productivity. Basecamp enables my team members to interact more effectively and stay on the same page. The nicest aspect of Basecamp that I enjoy is the ability to add our staff and clients. There are certain internal talks that we wish to have that are simply arranged in Basecamp.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

One feature I'd like to see implemented is the ability to open PDF documents from within Basecamp. I'd rather see a document on Basecamp than download it back to my PC once it's been uploaded. The extra steps are now inefficient, and I'd like to see more particular templates. The "To-Do List," not simply the one-liners, may be better handled. It can also function as a forum where we can track and discuss pending jobs.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

Instead of merely email threads, Basecamp is a handy tool for managing your discussion. It will assist you in effectively organizing your work and talks. To speed up the process while utilizing Basecamp, I propose assigning a dedicated project manager to configure the projects within Basecamp.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp makes it simple for me to collaborate with my team members. We mostly use Basecamp to communicate with our internal team and clients, which includes exchanging information or updates, as well as file sharing on occasion. Setting up timed activities and keeping project-related materials in one location are the most major advantages. Receiving Basecamp email reminders and preserving all important information and documents for all team members enhances productivity and efficiency.

  ### 7. Basecamp for Easy Communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krystle C. | Senior Recruiter, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

There's no need to learn a bunch of complicated software - Basecamp is easy to use and teams can access it daily with no problem. The interface is user-friendly and makes collaboration between groups both inside and outside your company a breeze. You'll be able to take advantage of features like file storage, which comes in handy for keeping track of important information easily. All this results in an optimized workflow - making Basecamp an essential tool for success!

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The interface to assign and manage project assignments is complicated. Additionally, the software automatically sends a lot of e-mails, which can clutter up team inboxes.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our teams used email to manage their projects. This is extremely inefficient and difficult. Basecamp has allowed us to avoid the chaos that can come with managing projects via email.

  ### 8. Good app for company mettings

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chaudhari P. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

First it has so many option so at first user will get confuse . It has a notification problem which i think is bigger problem .we can get every notification via email ,its annoying.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Firstly fix the notification problem it will be big help. Second male user interface as simple has you can. And do something to filter the massages from email so we can only get what we want

  ### 9. Great project management tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gordy M. | Director of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Good collaboration tool for sharing information, documents, etc. Keeps all communication and documentation in one place.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Each individual project has a nice timeline, however it lacks an "overall" schedule showing timelines of all projects at a glance.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with accountability by assigning tasks. It sends updates of what tasks are coming due and is an easy tool to see if certain tasks have been completed.

  ### 10. Its a solid Project Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is easy to use and to get set up. It is also easy to update the ways you use it as your organization grows. My favorite feature of it is the email replay to update projects, this allows me to update projects as I'm going through my inbox.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There are some features that are not as useful or intuitive when compared to other PM software.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp allows you to bring your teams together in an organized fashion and allows you to keep projects on track and everything regarding that project in one spot.

  ### 11. Great tool for project management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Great way to organize and monitor projects across teams of various sizes

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The recurring task tool has gotten a lot better, but still could use some customization.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Various types of project management: digital marketing focused in this case

  ### 12. Team management in one place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim L. | Senior Sales Support Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is a user-friendly tool that streamlines the project management process. I use Basecamp almost every other day to handle some new bookings from a significant customer. It has saved us a lot of time sending emails between our company and the customer. Another great advantage is that it corporates all of my company's bookings and communications, so they are always available without having to search all over my computer.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The integration doesn't take long, but the training is a lengthy process. It's costly, and it has a steep learning curve. The results are worth the time spent learning it, though.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Putting the task list into Basecamp was easy. The user interface was clean and simple, so I knew it would be easy to learn how to use it when planning a project. With Basecamp, I've been able to communicate and plan with my team.

  ### 13. Not best but one of the best team communication tool for me.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The thing I liked the most about the basecamp is that it provides me with every needed feature project management requires. The thing I liked the most was the basecamp calendar because it helped with my team's leave management. And it's the most convenient way to communicate with my team members.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The thing that I dislike about basecamp is its UI is not so beginner-friendly, and sometimes notifications do not come on time.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp helped my whole team boost their productivity and saved much of their time. And also helped me while I was working on different projects with managing my projects.

  ### 14. Basecamp does exactly what we need it to do

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The ease of sharing across departments and partners. It also helps with file sharing/maintenance.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It's a little clunky and doesn't integrate with any of our systems.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a financial institution, so it helps with compliance and creating a compliance paper trail. It also helped with transitioning some job functions to another department through file sharing.

  ### 15. Free app for team mettings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaushal V. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

Its good but user interface is a bit complex for new users .it is not able to give the user notification at most of the time and sometimes messages are delayed.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They can fix the notification problem and they can make the user interface a bit simple so new users can be comfortable with it. They can remove the email notifications features.

  ### 16. Professional software to organize projects, manage tasks and store documents.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mattie A. | Project Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is very easy to use and has many great features like a reminder and a to-do list. Once we see the reminder and to-do list we can see who saw it and can mark it. It's a great tool for making sure people are held accountable to deadlines and made sure we were all on the same page. Basecamp is a leading project management application as it works effectively to help organize and schedule project tasks with the data that is entered through the cooperation of all the members of the work team. the way in which all the activities are shown in the form of a Gaunt Chart, tables that show the work plan for the next few days, since this will allow the work team to carry out the correct programming of all the tasks.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The expensive cost is a significant disadvantage, and it would be ideal to have a longer trial time to really assess the product. Aside from that, it's an easy-to-use software with no unnecessary features to mention; the alerts arrive on time through cell phone, and I've been using it for almost three years with no problems.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

This is an excellent tool for boosting communication and holding individuals accountable for meeting deadlines and reminding them of important dates. Basecamp is one of the greatest tools and solutions for project document storage and job management. I strongly suggest it to anyone looking to employ the most sustainable cutting-edge technology for project management, where they will have a one-of-a-kind experience while achieving the greatest outcomes.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were solving quality control and production failures; our quality team frequently missed deadlines owing to communication challenges, which were rectified by ensuring everyone was on the same page. It also aided me in the implementation of a project data storage system, with which Basecamp is structured and all documents relating to project operations are saved in the system, allowing me to readily refer to them when needed. The most essential thing Basecamp taught me was how to keep track of tasks correctly, which reduced the likelihood of unexpected events occurring.

  ### 17. Ideal for coordinating group projects.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harry L. | Solutions Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It is a highly potent application for managing projects. Its format suits task management, project labeling, and teamwork. It is fantastic to see what other people have ordered, and it will benefit remote employees during the epidemic.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Attempting not to oversimplify is a fantastic tool for project managers, as they cannot know who is performing specific tasks. Even though the design is less appealing and more dated than many other social networks, businesses are the primary users.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool has been utilized in various contexts, from small teams to global enterprises, because of its extensive range of uses. It

  ### 18. Project management platform designed to improve collaboration and productivity.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cassandra W. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is really simple to use and has altered the way our firm approaches project setup and management. It significantly improves our staff's efficiency and saves them time. Basecamp is an excellent project management application for usage among our company's numerous teams. Basecamp is frequently used by our organization to upload and manage files and folders inside each project. Basecamp may also be used to create internal task lists for various team members on a single project. Basecamp also allows us to set specified deadlines for each activity on a to-do list.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I wish there were more limits on who may archive a project, or at the very least a notification for the person who established the project when it was archived by someone else. Basecamp's inability to upload new "versions" of files within a project is its least helpful feature. Instead of merely replacing an older file with a newer one, you must submit a fully new file. Basecamp is primarily intended for internal communication, therefore file sharing for client review or external communication is not yet an appropriate use of Basecamp.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

Don't put off getting started with Basecamp; not only is it a low-cost option, but you won't be sorry if you do. When adding files to a Basecamp project, I recommend combining Basecamp with Google Drive. Instead of uploading a text document natively in Basecamp, use a Google Drive link to submit a Google document. Linking to Google Drive allows you to quickly maintain and change the version control of the provided file, something Basecamp does not currently offer.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As our teams have been working remotely for several months, Basecamp has provided a much stronger sense of belonging. It has also resulted in much better organization among teams as they work to construct and execute a project. The ease with which you can manage and assign tasks, invite individuals to the project, and save all essential papers and notes within the project has saved us a significant amount of time and efficiency. Basecamp is being used to address the issue of project-based team communication and file organization. Instead of sending formal letters every time we need to interact internally, Basecamp has helped us to expedite communication between our teams for rapid updates or confirmations on particular project milestones.

  ### 19. Great for Projects & Committees

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The ability to create multiple teams for separate functions and projects. It provides a higher level of organization than email, etc.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It would be helpful if you could view full documents without having to download each time.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps our committee communication organized and separate from emails for easier tracking and reference.

  ### 20. Basecamp is a good shared task list, not ideal for project managing

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It is helpful for task management and having a platform where all employees can view each other's tasks which helps with collaboration. It is intuitive in it's layout which makes it easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

While it is a good task manager, it is not the best project manager on the market. It does not make longer-term projects or process-intensive work easier since it's systems don't have many features beyond basic task management.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps companies work through collaboration and information issues by offering a 'public' task board. It also allows supervisors to edit, add or comment on employees' current or future tasks, so there is more awareness within departments and between supervisors and their employees of the work taking place and scheduled to be completed.

  ### 21. Basecamp - Managing your team can be even easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tia N. | Social Media Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The remote collaboration software has competitive prices. These prices are very reasonable for any type of business. The Basecamp project management software is fantastic for the way that it allows my team to easily recognize a task and what needs to be completed in order to achieve our goals. My colleagues from different departments can assign tasks to people. There is also a classification system that helps the client do their work in an organized manner, which simplifies it.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It is hard to complete projects when you are not sure if you are supposed to carry on with the previous project. The navigation of some pages can be confusing and sometimes users might find it difficult to use them.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp makes it easy to stay in touch with the team and see how the project is going. I like how all the discussions are centralized so that email threads don’t take over.

  ### 22. Best Project management tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pallavi C. | PRT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is an excellent project management tool. I have used this for my assignments on customer requests. I have managed a single project on it. I was able to create schedule tasks as per the requirement. It is effortless to assign and track the tasks over it.

With the help of basecamp, I was able to make that project successful.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I have used basecamp for one assignment. I found it good. It is easy to use, and one can easily create and assign tasks as per the requirement. I don't feel there is anything for which we should dislike it. For me, it is the best software.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to solve all the project-related issues like managing of tasks assigning, and tracking tasks. Moreover, I was able to track the tasks on a real-time basis.
I think basecamp made my life easier in managing the different tasks, and I was able to deliver the project before time

  ### 23. Great tool for project management but needs more features.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mindy B. | Sr. Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I enjoy how simple Basecamp is and how well-organized the site is; it's incredibly simple to get someone started and educate them how to use it. It allows you to add many projects and tasks to them, and the fact that you can tag different users makes task assignment a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There isn't anything to complain about with this tool. I believe it's a little pricey, and some of the alerts are a little obnoxious, but you can disable them. I'd want to be able to set milestones and/or assign subtasks. Working with a video team, this is a significant error since I can't set separate deadlines for distinct portions of a work.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

If you work for a corporation or organization with various teams and projects, this is an excellent tool for keeping everyone on track. Learn about all of the features and integrations ahead of time; after using it for a long, I found it challenging to deploy.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You're dealing with project tracking challenges. They were previously sent to me, and I now have to keep track of them in Excel or on my own computer. Now I can utilize it and have an overview of what I need to do. Visibility into what each individual works on across multiple teams is provided. Because we have two employees allocating work, being able to view individual tasks is quite beneficial.

  ### 24. Great Management Tool for Our Company

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The to-do / assignment feature is great at helping see what's on your plate.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It's hard to see an easy unified view of all your to-do's within the interface.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our creative department has benefitted from this tremendously. They've been able to streamline the communication for creative projects.

  ### 28. Excellent for sharing files, developing your projects and improving communication.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Helen S. | Engineering Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is a really nice project management program. I enjoy its basic layout since I can create distinct boards for each project where I can add tasks, lists, files, and messages. Another great feature is that I can quickly synchronize my Google data. It is useful to be able to follow a project and any related papers that are shared in order for it to be finished. I really enjoy how it sends a ping to your email when an update is completed, so you may be alerted right away. You may also simply control who is alerted and who has access to a project or team topic. This is critical for account managers and product managers.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It must be handled, and threads must be archived, or it will rapidly become unmanageable. It is also fairly pricey in comparison to other possibilities. It does not support many languages, which makes it laborious for numerous colleagues in our firm. Additionally, when there are many tasks on a board, alerts are not presented appropriately.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

This tool is quite comprehensive and efficient in the organizing, but it is pretty expensive, therefore I recommend you compare the prices of other solutions and look into free trials before making a final decision.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most difficult issue is dealing with difficulties via back-and-forth emails. You can plainly follow the project, and after you've figured out how to navigate, locating past projects is a breeze. Basecamp is a program that has allowed us to be more efficient in our work by keeping all of our tasks organized and up to date. Without a doubt, Basecamp has been extremely beneficial in the development of our company endeavors. We're also figuring out where and how to discover papers that haven't been stored elsewhere. You don't want to rely only on Basecamp for your papers, but it's a wonderful resource for going back and finding them quickly.

  ### 29. Basecamp is a simple project management tool

**Reviewed by:** Emily H. | Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is easy to manage and collaborate with coworkers. The "bucket" format is nice for checking tasks off.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It's pretty basic overall and operates as more of a list of tasks that you check off.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped our team project manage design tasks between a designer, copywriter, and project manager.

  ### 30. Intuitive and multifunctional

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derrick P. | Digital Marketing Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is great for organizing projects. It has a calendar that tells you who is using the time at any given time and when the project should be completed, so nothing important gets overlooked. We can categorize tasks and assign them to individual team members, so we always know if someone is working on your project, and if not, where to find them.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I discovered that it's hard to delete files. There is no way to do the bulk deletion, which I find strange. Another change that could be made is the need for a calendar with many features.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp allows it easier for everyone to stay in communication with each other and work efficiently. We like that we can share messages board, update to-do lists, and plan events. Basecamp helps us stay in sync and on task.

  ### 31. Great tool for team communication & management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin S. | Senior Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I really appreciate how basecamp helps our organization stay organized and responsible!

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Minor frustrations with having to scroll down to the end of a message thread to see the most recent postings, etc. But overall great project management tool!

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp continues to improve with time, so that is very helpful.

  ### 32. Best Collaboration Tool Around

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nancy J. | Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Working on projects can be tough, especially when there are a lot of moving parts. But thankfully, we had Basecamp to help us manage everything. It was a great tool for organizing all the different aspects of our projects. Basecamp made things easier for our team by allowing us to update and receive notifications for each member.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There were no major negatives. Although it was a steep learning curve for the team, we were able to adapt our project organization to work with the software. These adjustments weren't too difficult.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Basecamp is the perfect tool for coordinating communication between team members. By consolidating all communications and files into one central location, Basecamp makes it easy for teams to stay on top of things

  ### 33. Awesome application for project management and communicate on various teams.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin P. | Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It is simple to use and will assist you in creating a sequence of jobs and obligations for team members on time. BaseCamp streamlines inter-equipment communication since the application is versatile enough to allow for several techniques of project management. I like the way the BaseCamp Interaction Library and Documents are organized. There is an opportunity to update the notification of anybody in the team to whom a notice is also sent, as well as the history of modifications on the expiry date.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The fact that I receive an email notification whenever you edit a remark is the first thing I dislike. Although the email connection is useful in some situations, it is typically unsettling and necessitates a larger degree of personalisation. The key feature I'd want to see in BaseCamp is a view comparable to the table view found in other project management applications. With that choice, we can immediately tell which one should be on which day, making everything a little easier than it is presently. Aside from that, I believe Basecamp is a comprehensive software package.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

Basecamp comes highly suggested by me for firms that have a large number of clients or businesses. Everything, including essential paperwork and time targets, may be arranged in a location in BaseCamp. It's amazing to contact with so many different teams and inform everyone about common content. The key thing everyone should remember about BaseCamp is its design, which condenses sophisticated administrative features into a simple interface. Most project management solutions operate in a similar manner.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We tried several project management solutions for trial and error in order to discover the best one, and I believe BaseCamp is more of a full package for project management features. We were able to swiftly allocate projects after using BaseCamp. BaseCamp enables me to tailor the distribution of client data for certain activities, making it easier to acquire and compile data points for massive projects. One of the issues we confront is having a good contact with the consumers we represent. We can be more efficient as a working group, and our customers may readily contact us.

  ### 34. Organize our workflow and increase team productivity.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evelyn L. | Project Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

It's a terrific tool for centralizing communication; you can add email notifications that deliver a summary of updates or chats, and it also has an instant messaging component that allows you to have a distinct and central hub from all the other tools we use every day. to be used internally Using Basecamp as a fundamental center makes our lives much more productive; it is capable of managing everything and providing better control over what we do; and because it is a tiny program, it can be used from any device without problem.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It would be wonderful if there were more customisation or branding choices inside project areas to include project photos/client logos so that a project could be distinguished by more than just a name, but that is just cosmetic. Basecamp seems to offer some customization possibilities, such as templates or restricting team member or platform variables per application. Still, it's a fantastic tool most of the time.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

Try it out for yourself. The app now has a free monthly version accessible for download. If you find that it addresses your problem, do not hesitate to purchase the premium version. It significantly improves our workflow and increases productivity in our organization.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Basecamp has simplified contact with our clients, allowing us to more quickly manage communication with them and speed up the process of identifying deliverables when they are provided to us. Basecamp enabled us to cooperate on a work in order to finish it; it enabled everyone of our groups, from development to customer relations, finance, and marketing, to communicate on a project in one centralized area, guaranteeing that nothing was neglected.

  ### 35. Basecamp Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana L. | Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is an enjoyable team management solution that is more pleasing for everyday use compared to other software, based on its design. It's easy to onboard new users and gets them up-to-date with our team activities. We can plot new goals and track existing ones on the fly. All of the information is updated instantly on the internet. We get notifications to remind us of key events and communications.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There aren't many things I dislike about Basecamp. It's worked well for the things I've used it for, which are mostly standard planning and communications. I think more complex projects may not be suitable for Basecamp, particularly creative projects with video and web design.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

Give Basecamp a try.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp lets me stay informed with information related to my team and my own work goals. I can update multiple people without having to contact each one directly. I can leave information that other people can use for their tasks and vice versa. I feel more locked into my work when I have Basecamp at my fingertips. There aren't all these different directions I have to go to leave and access information.

  ### 36. Great all-in-one tool for project and task management.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edith R. | Sr. Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Employees may use Basecamp to keep track of work and open calendars for ongoing projects. Use alerts and comments to display real-time updates. I've been using Basecamp for a few years and have always appreciated how simple it is to coordinate tasks using its tools and capabilities. A project, tasks, notes, and controls that are notified or assigned are all simple to construct. It contains the most tools for managing and organizing many projects across divisions for smaller businesses or organizations.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The one thing I don't like about Basecamp is that you can't request a project if you aren't presently in one. You must request the access benefit independently from the project. We battled early on with developing internal protocols for how projects would be conceived and managed. The feature set is rather broad, which is wonderful for customisation, but it resulted in a lot of starts and ends before we found a method that worked for our team. This is good; it's not a bad thing, but some direction or suggestions may have helped us get started. Dependencies do not exist, which is a feature I would want to have.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

It is likely to be the best solution for large firms since it contains the powerful collection of capabilities that these businesses require. However, for small groups of less than 100 people, they provide all you need to handle several projects in the best way possible.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple project administration. All of my projects are in one location, and rather than using generic folders, Basecamp offers a clean and clear user interface. Prior to BaseCamp, it was difficult to keep track of projects and where they were in the process. It meant that we had to attend a lot more meetings to obtain progress updates, and even then, things may not have been disclosed to all of the appropriate parties. BaseCamp makes it easy for everyone to understand the status of a project, which means fewer meetings and less confusion.

  ### 37. A great source for cataloguing and tracking projects for yourself and a larger team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** C F. | Assistant to Head of Marketing and Head ofArtist Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I love the flexibility that is offered within the software. I am able to easily toggle between projects and track the progress made.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There could be potential for a "docking option". It would be nice to set some things I am working on off to the side (but not out of view) while looking at other pages.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves several organizational issues and keeps various tasks streamlined. I also love the ability to interact with colleagues on projects and provide feedback.

  ### 38. My 3 years experience with Basecamp

Great with workflow.
You can easily upload documents over cloud with it.
Also i like how it has simplified task management and how it ensures that the process stays streamlined.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is the best nothing that pisses me off while using it

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's managing timeline so that work can be delivered in time.
It keeps projects organized.

  ### 39. My experience in using Basecamp

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudia G. | Area Sales Manager Oral Healthcare, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is a great platform that my coworkers and I enjoy using. From the homepage, users can interact with their accounts in several ways. I also enjoy using other social media platforms. The calendars and to-do lists are outstanding and very useful. This procedure provides visibility into multiple teams and tasks for clients, which is extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is lacking in certain areas, such as video conferencing. It can be inconvenient to modify content because some features are disabled based on your position within the organization.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've found that Basecamp is essential for coordinating company-wide efforts on large projects. Without hesitation, I'm pleased with this exceptional service, which effectively addresses our organizational weaknesses.

  ### 40. My Love for Basecamp

Very intuitive GUI and easy to use program.

Automates project and portfolio management.

Enhances business instant messaging.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Mobile applications for both iOS and Android do not offer tutorials for features.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Track issue, time and expenses on projects.

Create and assign tasks to users automatically.

  ### 41. Great method of client communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paris H. | Digital Marketing Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The organization of client communication for projects, the easy functionality, and the ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously! I love how basecamp helps keep my email inbox organized instead of flooded with annoying email threads!

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

When you paste a link, such as a google document or a google spreadsheet, into the basecamp update, you're unable to actually link the documents. Clients sometimes have a difficult time understanding that there's a link within the update.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

Always keep your updates titled well and relevant to the conversation. Teach your clients to do this as well. If the updates are no longer relevant to the title, start a new update. Try adding dates to your update titles as well, and be sure to make To-Do lists of items that your clients need to take care of!

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to involve the right people in any current project and decide who should see certain updates at different times. This really helps with not overloading other team members with seeing conversations that aren't relevant and therefore, saving company time.

  ### 42. Basecamp - the whole team in one place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel G. | Project Manager 3, Construction, West Division, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is an online project management tool that helps teams track their progress and share files. This has been extremely useful for my marketing team, which is geographically dispersed. Everyone is on that same page, and the process has been greatly streamlined.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Although Basecamp provides file storage, it is largely inefficient because users have to download files before viewing them and then re-upload them after editing.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I work with many clients, Basecamp is the best way for me to allow them to access the files they need without granting me network access. It's also great for securely storing documents and always working with the latest versions.

  ### 43. It is very intuitive and well thought out for teamwork.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M. | Sr. Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The simplicity of use of the UI in the Basecamp 3 version appeals to the majority of clients. This makes it easy to maintain frequent communication while avoiding email and phone overload. I enjoy developing lists that can be assigned dates and persons, and we utilize them on a regular basis. I really enjoy the mobile app since it allows me to upload a screenshot image and draw on top of it before sharing. The option to build workgroups for the many teams I'm on is a fantastic tool. The activity log allows you to see all of the interactions and jobs that have been assigned, worked on, and finished at a glance. When it comes to efficient collaboration, this is quite beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I'd want the function (do) to be more effective in updating the progress % of the job that is being developed so that I know where the task is in the process. It would also be excellent to include the ability to measure time spent on projects and activities, similar to other platforms, to make it a one-stop shop.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

This tool is useful for collaboration. If you have a team that is continually working and interacting on a range of projects, this is an ideal platform for increasing productivity.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp has significantly decreased the number of emails we send for each project. It also demonstrates to clients that we are excellent at project management since we are always developing new ways to use it. The activity progress view allows us to evaluate where our time is being spent or squandered and optimize our workload for the day. Basecamp is our primary task management tool. Basecamp assists us in coordinating and aligning all of our coworkers so that everyone is on the same page. The advantages we've observed include having a site for communication, a place for tasks to be handed in, and a place where papers and modifications can be completed collaboratively.

  ### 44. A comprehensive project management tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew M. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp is quick and easy to set up. It has a clean interface with variant functionality. Well, it is an initiative with fluid and flexible navigation for team collaboration, where users can organize the workforce and use resources at work.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

With his solid performance at work, I couldn't notice any demerits with the app. However, it is quite expensive when it comes to pricing. But the features that we are improving with the in-app purchase are at the top and I cannot deny that it is much better than other competing project management tools.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, we had a positive experience with the app. We implemented Basecamp on our desktop and were able to obtain optimal results. We were able to manage more than 250 employees from a single application. With Basecamp we were able to keep track of everything, including project schedules, working hours, ongoing tasks with detailed reports, and analytics with visualizations and workflows.

  ### 45. The best workflow manage systen

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ysrael C. | Director de arte, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

The easiest way to create to-dos and bookmarks, asign people to the work and upload documents in the text box, its very helpfull to find information in short time.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

The paid version Its very expensive, maybe if you create a basic plan for small business, more people could use basecamp at work. It's a good way to work. Just that.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workflow!! Put in order my team, change and assign to-do. Reducing coordination times by more than 50 percent so means 50% cost operative reducción. Great solution!

  ### 46. I use Basecamp as a part of project management of EU funded projects.

I think that it offers very good user experience. Easy to navigate over various options and menus.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It is not so easy to process documents online.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in organizing and managing all the material relative to a project. Managing also the whole team and the specific groups is good benefit.

  ### 47. Basecamp was Okay

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber M. | Business Development and Marketing Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp was simpler than some other organizational tools that I've used, so the simplicity was nice for new people having to learn how to use it. If anything, it was easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It felt somewhat like having a bunch of Word documents organized into a tool - it really didn't do much for us beyond that. It was almost too simple and didn't feel worth the cost.

**Recommendations to others considering Basecamp:**

I would say if you are looking for a team organizer that's super simple, this is it. If you're looking for something that's more than just a place to type your tasks and share them with your teammates, maybe look for a tool that is a little more advanced.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp was one location to keep all of our team information, and even though it was super simple, it was one singular place our entire team could keep updates and tasks organized.

  ### 48. One way stop for project management for small, medium and startups companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohd kamal A. | software engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

basecamp is the best tool for project collaboration and project management. it provides a good UI interface to manage the task and tickets of projects. it helps us to segregate the projects into smaller parts. it has a good feature of showing the timeline and due date for the projects and each task in the project.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Basecamp has less mathematical performance in it. it won't provide the todo, in-progress and completed in view columns like other project management tools have those functions.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

basecamp provides easy use of task management and project management which helps naive people to understand how to perform, track and manage the tasks of the projects.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp is our project manageemtn platform. I prefer Basecamp Classic.

  ### 50. Great to support/manage class projects

As a teacher, I can give my students a place to to manage their progress (that I can monitor). This also gives introduces them into a tool they can use in a professional setting.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

It's slow to set-up groups as a teacher, I know that's not it's purpose but it's only good for projects longer than a week

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Be able to give an invite code that people can use to join the group.
