**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica P. | Events Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

I love how user-friendly it is while remaining complex enough to manage my complex workload.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Currently, I do not like that when I assign one task to multiple team members it gets checked off the moment 1 person clicks that it is done. I am wanting each of our team members to do this task, but don't want to have to copy it separately. I wish there was a way that when someone checks the task off (if multiple people are assigned) it would just put a check by each person's name in which it is assigned.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been a game changer for our teams communication, collaboration, visibility and task organization / management.

  ### 9. Help Change Our Business for the Better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittney R. | Administrative Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Having a "one stop shop" to be able to store policies, procedures, lists of tasks to finish (to-do's) & also being able to message each other without using multiple systems helps us to be more efficient. Being able to move quickly helps us address our customer & business needs quickly as well.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

I don't like that it doesn't have a "duplicate" option. For instance, we make to-do's for certain things we have to do like holiday items. There is a recurrance option which has helped but, sometimes the holidays don't fall on the same day or you want to make the same to-do. Would be very helpful to help duplicate it versus having to make a new one.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having one loction for polcies, procdures, tasks and communication is a huge help.

I also like that I can tag my coworker when I need them to review a task or join the collaboration on something.

  ### 22. Basecamp for nonprofits helped us move our conference forward.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricky F. | Lead Pastor, Religious Institutions, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

Basecamp helped us keep our conference moving forward. We are scattered all over Texas with the base of operations being in north central Texas. Using basecamp allowed me to easily see progress in each individual. The notification feature is great to keep updates in real time. Several individuals who were not used to a collab application were able to integrate easily. It didn't matter if they were mobile on their phone, their tablet, or computer. PC or Apple, Android or iOS, everyone was able to implement the features quickly and learn quickly. I was able to utilize Basecamp daily due to the simplicity of notifications.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Very few downsides to Basecamp, imho. The primary downside I saw is that there are two versions. I had downloaded the original version years ago and not had need of it. When our missions conference came up, Basecamp was the preferred application among the collaberators and the new version was out. There was a slight learning curve, but not much at all.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary purpose of using Basecamp was to give collaborators of our mission conference the space to plan and communicate in real time. Basecamp allowed us to have less zoom meetings because we were able to see each other's progress.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

User interface is not that great and somewhat limited/bloated with things. When it gets to too many open points, it becomes harder to track, so we still need to use another cleaner tools for to-do tasks. Limited integration.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows to keep track of project things.

**What do you like best about Basecamp?**

What I like best about Basecamp is how seamlessly it helps us manage our remote work process. As a company, it allows us to flawlessly track all of our conversations, planning, tasks, and project progress. It's incredibly functional for task assignment, team communication, and monitoring project developments. Plus, its simple and user-friendly interface allows team members to quickly adapt. All of this facilitates collaboration and boosts our overall efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

There is nothing I dislike about Basecamp. So far, it has solved everything seamlessly and has more than met our needs. Additionally, they continue to develop new features, which makes the platform even more useful with each update.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basecamp is solving several key problems for our remote team. First, it centralizes all communication, tasks, and files in one platform, eliminating the need for multiple tools and reducing confusion. This makes it easy for everyone to stay on the same page, regardless of location or time zone. Second, it provides clear visibility into project timelines and task ownership, helping us track progress and meet deadlines more effectively. The to-do lists, message boards, and automatic check-ins keep everyone aligned without needing constant meetings. As a result, our workflow has become more organized, productive, and transparent.

Perhaps after having several lines of conversation, it becomes tedious to find or maintain a specific order.

  ### 29. Light system for managing projects and teams

Interface is not cluttered, tools work without a lot of hassle. Easy to set up and get running

The interface transforms complex functionalities into an intuitive experience for all users; it provides highly customizable workflows, complete automation, and numerous other impressive features.

In contrast to many other project management solutions that can feel cluttered and overwhelming, Basecamp maintains a clean, modern design that is easy to navigate. This simplicity does not compromise its functionality, which is a key differentiator.

Basecamp recognizes that effective project management extends beyond merely tracking tasks; it emphasizes the importance of communication and collaboration among team members. The platform's ability to share files, leave comments, and discuss tasks has significantly reduced the reliance on back-and-forth emails, ensuring that all communication remains organized and easily accessible.

Additionally, its integration with other communication tools further strengthens this collaborative atmosphere.

The support team at Basecamp is incredibly responsive; they consistently exceed expectations whenever I have inquiries and are very receptive to feedback.

**What do you dislike about Basecamp?**

Nothing at all. The tool is simple to use and I can not offer any constructive feedback.

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's automation features have been a massive time-saver. I can set up automated reminders for task deadlines, status updates, and even follow-ups with clients. This has reduced the manual effort required to keep projects on track and has minimized the risk of tasks slipping through the cracks.

Basecamp's dashboard gives me a bird’s-eye view of all my ongoing projects. The visual progress indicators, timelines, and task dependencies allow me to quickly assess the status of each project and identify potential bottlenecks before they become issues.

What our team likes about Basecamp is the ability to store assets such as images, videos, PDFs, documents, alongside with projects and Basecamp documents (which we typically use for collaborative writing and editing).

**What problems is Basecamp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Basecamp has solved for our team is significantly lowering the number of emails we send. We try to keep everything that is project/event-related on Basecamp. Like many people, we were drowning in emails and Basecamp has helped us to keep everything for each project/event in one place.

Some of us also use Basecamp for 1:1 communication with supervisors and employees. Several of us keep our to-do lists on Basecamp. Recurring tasks has been a game-changer. Personally, I use it for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and periodic tasks. Basecamp provides a place for us to keep documents that apply to our entire staff or select groups.
