"Data-Driven Growth for Comfort Transit NEMT"

What do you like best about Bambi?

I use Bambi every day to manage my NEMT business, and it has become the central system for our operations. We use it to schedule trips, assign rides to drivers, manage recurring rides such as dialysis appointments, track pickup and drop-off information, record mileage, and keep our daily schedule organized. As we have grown and added another driver, this has become especially useful because I can see who is assigned to each trip and what the day looks like without having to rely on texts, spreadsheets, or handwritten schedules.

What I probably value most, though, is the reporting. I can go back and review completed trips, mileage, revenue, and driver activity and actually see how the business is performing. I have even exported my Bambi data into RStudio to do my own analysis of revenue, trip volume, and mileage over time. That has been surprisingly useful because I can see patterns that I would not necessarily notice just from running the business day to day. What do you dislike about Bambi?

There honestly is not much I dislike about Bambi. If I could add anything, it would be more advanced and customizable reporting directly within the platform. As a business owner, I pay close attention to things such as trip volume, revenue, mileage, driver activity, vehicle utilization, recurring versus one-time trips, and how those numbers change from month to month. Bambi already captures a lot of the information I need, which is one of the reasons I use it so heavily.

Because I like working with data, I sometimes export information from Bambi and analyze it separately in RStudio to answer more specific questions about my business. For example, I may want to compare revenue and trip volume across different periods, look at mileage trends, evaluate how efficiently we are using our vehicles, or determine whether our growth justifies adding another driver or vehicle. I would love to be able to create more customized dashboards and financial and operational KPIs directly inside Bambi and perform more of that analysis without leaving the platform.

I would not really describe this as a major drawback, though. It is more of a feature I would like to see as Bambi continues to develop. The platform already handles the core functions I need to run my NEMT operation, and as my company grows, having even deeper analytics built into the system would make it even more useful. What problems is Bambi solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bambi solves several problems for me as the owner of a growing NEMT company. The biggest one is scheduling and keeping track of all the moving pieces involved in our trips. On any given day, we may have recurring dialysis rides, doctor’s appointments, facility pickups, return trips where the exact pickup time is not known in advance, and trips assigned to different drivers. Bambi gives me one place to organize all of that instead of trying to manage the schedule through texts, spreadsheets, calendars, and handwritten notes.

It has become even more valuable as I have added another driver. I can assign trips, see who is responsible for each ride, keep track of pickup and drop-off information, and review what has been completed. For an NEMT business, where being on time and coordinating multiple appointments is extremely important, having that information organized in one place makes running the day much easier.

The other major problem Bambi solves is helping me understand what is actually happening financially and operationally in my business. I can look back at completed trips, revenue, mileage, trip volume, and driver activity rather than relying on my memory or simply assuming that we are busy. I have even exported the data into RStudio when I wanted to analyze the numbers more deeply and look at trends over time.

That has had a real impact on how I make decisions. I can use actual data when thinking about staffing, scheduling, vehicle utilization, and growth. One of the biggest examples is our decision to expand the fleet. Rather than buying another vehicle simply because the business felt busy, I was able to look at our trip activity and other data and feel much more confident that we were reaching the point where a second van made sense.
