What I like most about Azure Key Vault is that it offers a centralized, secure place to manage secrets, keys, and certificates. It also integrates smoothly with other Azure services, which makes it easier to avoid keeping sensitive information directly in application configuration files or in the code itself. For our use case, the value is good compared to the cost. The pricing is reasonable considering the security, centralized secret management, and integration with other Azure services. For larger environments with many secrets and applications, the benefits can justify the additional cost, although the cost may be harder to justify for smaller or less complex projects. The biggest downside for me is that it can take a while to fully understand and correctly configure permissions, access policies, and authentication.
