It helped with us access large volume of data that is stored in legacy systems. **What do you dislike about Azure Archive Storage?** My perspective of Microsoft is the use of current standard industry functionality across their product lines. Some functionality was missed in Azure Archive Storage so it was a dissappointment. **What problems is Azure Archive Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?** the problem being solved was capability to store, retrieve, and use current legacy data that is in multiple systems and be able to manipulate the data to be useful to support our needs. ### 2. And the data stored in it is much secure as compared to other cloud storage. **What do you dislike about Azure Archive Storage?** The least helpful thing for me in archive storage is snapshot is not available in it and snapshot is best thing while recovering data. If you are having data in archive storage and you cant recover it then it is of no use. **What problems is Azure Archive Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?** In azure you are having pay as you go that means the thing which you are using you need to pay for that only. And if you are having slow internet connection then also you can access it very easily from you end, which is very good thing. ### 3. Using azure archive storage, I have used cosmos and azure SQL databases to store different data types for our client in the retail chain. We have to keep a variety of data-related zone, stores, clients, payments etc., collected across the globe. Using cosmos and azure SQL, we can process these data very quickly, and even we have tools to visualize data in the database. That's why we have the privilege of total transparency with the data and seamlessly access various complex information of my client's business. **What do you dislike about Azure Archive Storage?** From my point of view, there is no major challenge I have faced with Azure Archive Storage. We have been using it for our MNC clients with no complaints. One minor point is that I felt some latency with the tools like azure studio to visualize data; it's inconsistent. **What problems is Azure Archive Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have covered a little in the first answer, extending that we have various types of complex data to take care of and providing access to these with different filters to our front-end and back-end developers for further processing. I was responsible for choosing the best, most efficient, scalable and affordable cloud platform to store tons of data in our Retail Intelligence business. I chose Microsoft Azure, and we use both types of databases, i.e., cosmos and Azure SQL DB, as per our complex needs. It gives us precisely that type of scalability we need for our daily growing customer base and their relevant data. As we know, the retail industry contains various software and tools which require proper and smooth integration to communicate with each other; the solution we get is Microsoft Azure. Yes, I strongly recommend Microsft azure to fulfill all cloud needs, from deployment to storage. **What do you dislike about Azure Archive Storage?** Currently, I haven't faced any specific problem in using Microsoft Azure. But we can make it more affordable for startups like us with dedicated plans for early-stage startups with targeted needs and suggestions. **What problems is Azure Archive Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a lot of data about outlets, distributors, vendors, sales personnel, leads etc. We have to store these types of complex data from the real world and then analyze and use it as per needs. Microsoft Azure makes it so streamlined that we have to only think about business logic, not data. So we are using Azure SQL and Cosmos databases per our retail intelligence needs. ### 5. The virtual machines are the most advanced feature from Azure, we are using this most of the time and I can say this is fully scalable and provide great flexibility to our cloud infrastructure and the applications. The deployment of this platform was really quick unlike the other cloud platforms and on the other hand, this also comes with seamless integration options with the third-party platforms and applications. **What do you dislike about Azure Archive Storage?** The only thing that I don't like is the Pay as you go feature, this is good though but a very expensive option for me, in this feature I only need to pay for the usage only but the price of the pay-as-you-go instance type is really very expensive, hence this is the one that I dislike the most **What problems is Azure Archive Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?** The business support from Azure is great, this is very fast and responsive and also I get a dedicated customer success manager which takes care of all the issues. ### 6. Several storage tiers helps to distribute data as per is legal requirement and retain as per need. **What do you dislike about Azure Archive Storage?** Bandwidth is good while accessing the data from this object storage but i think it can be still more. But still of you compare to other cloud vendors it still performs well. **What problems is Azure Archive Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?** For us is helping in case of backup archival and also to keep data for migration from on premise to cloud for our customers.
