What do you like best about AWS Firewall Manager?

What I like most about AWS Firewall Manager is how it enables centralized management of security policies across multiple AWS accounts and resources. Instead of setting up protections individually, our security team can define policies once and enforce them consistently across the entire organization.

What do you dislike about AWS Firewall Manager?

This service delivers the most value in multi-account AWS environments. In smaller deployments, though, the setup effort and ongoing policy-management overhead can feel unnecessary. Getting comfortable with policy inheritance and remediation actions also takes some familiarity with AWS security services. Troubleshooting policies can be challenging at times, especially when multiple AWS security services are interacting. Figuring out why a resource is marked non-compliant may require looking across AWS Config, WAF, Organizations, and Firewall Manager policies together to see how they combine. What problems is AWS Firewall Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

AWS Firewall Manager helps address centralized security governance challenges.

We use Firewall Manager to enforce AWS WAF policies across multiple application environments. Rather than manually configuring web application firewall rules for every load balancer and CloudFront distribution, Firewall Manager can automatically apply standardized security policies.

As a result, it reduced manual effort, improved compliance, and helped ensure consistent security controls across environments.
