**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

I like Avid multi Functionality, I can view and pay invoices. I also like how avid is able to catch duplicate invoices making it easier to weed out duplicate payments.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

Sometimes there is a communication error between Avid support and the user. There may also be longer than expected waits in regards to support.

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems we are able to solve is efficiency. WE are able to use one data base to pay and receive our invoices thus making it easier on the accounting side. The benefits of avid are it is user friendly, and can generate reports that are helpful for upper management.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

Each aspect of the system is streamlined by using AvidXchange's developed workflows, which enables the organizations involved in the process to approve or deny based on the cost of an invoice, saving so much time in administrative tasks for us. It also allows us to have a product coded for all 32 assets, so we can assign a pro-rata proportion of each company's invoice with AvidInvoice. In conclusion, AvidXchange has greatly helped us to simplify our AP system.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

AvidXchange search functionality often fails to work properly on the online search monitor, as sorting up or down does not work every time. Also, I wish the monitoring tab could be provided by documents or reporting parts to users.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

AvidXchange is perfectly suited for businesses where permits can be difficult to obtain, as it will allow them to get them easily. Since 2017 we have been using it and I can't really imagine the financial life of my company without it, as this software has improved the efficiency to handle the invoices from one location to another.

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AvidXchange is actually being used by the financial department for invoicing storage and billing for all our operating assets and our corporate business. The photo is the first stage of the process for AvidXchange and certification digitally is achieved so that it can be examined by anyone who wishes to check it. This is good because the client authorization invoices can be clarified with additional details.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

I like that all the information is available 24/7.  I can access all payable information from wherever I am. 
I can upload an invoice, review, approve then sync with our accounting software and process payments so easy and quickly.  All the information is stored and I don't have to worry about loosing anything. 

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

I would like to see Avid add a receivables feature. It would be nice to be able to process receivables in a swift and easy manner.  If Avid could sync with the financial institutions to remote deposit then sync the information to our accounting system.  Not sure if this is possible due to security reasons.

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized many benefits, the greatest benefit has been time efficiency.  You save so much time using AvidXchange in every way possible.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

I love the fact that it streamlines the process and has taken quite a load of work off my hands!  AvidXchange also offers us the chance to go paperless which I feel is a big plus to save the trees.  We also get a lot less mail since they really try hard to work on being electronic. They also contact vendors so that they get them to convert over to paperless as well.  Overall they are great and quick to respond, they just need to work on their indexing guidelines.  If they correct that I would have nothing negative to say about avidxchange.  

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

The growth they are experiencing right now seems to impede there ability to offer there offer their services.  Responses are slower and there have been a lot more "glitches."  Otherwise there service seems to be the same as it has been.  Indexing guidelines could be updated to allow indexers to use their brain.  We have issues with state invoices, insurances, really anything that does not say "invoice" does not  get coded right.

Make sure that you ask about how the growth is hindering their processes.  

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again, our major problem that was solved with AvidXchange is the fact that it streamlined our AP process and helped us go paperless!

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

AvidXchange tracks an invoice background with its History Tab and enables management to check the permission of the payment. It creates the cost, review the payment and send this for permission, using each company's own transaction code. Communication is essential, which enables clarification and accelerated approval processes to enter the comment or issue in AvidInvoice, and that move is reported and available to the public as an invoice passes through the formal review phase. It guarantees that all stakeholders confirm the prompt acceptance of a fee invoice. Also, it includes an automatic AP system that has helped me to reduce the risk of mistakes arising by submitting and accepting manual invoices.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

I wish the Credit Documents would work better. Also, there should really be a method for AvidXchange indexers to save the businesses for which they index.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

AvidXchange is definitely suitable for a commercial property company, as it will allow them to profit from reducing the time and energy of the accounting team, who can then work on other activities.  AvidXchange offers accessibility, saves time and organizes everything between the businesses.

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of my assistant managers within the Financial department use AvidXchange. Our MRI management system integrates the software that makes it easy to download and the entire financial department now manages the invoices instead of just putting the payment on our structure. It's as simple as signing in from every device, and AvidXchange offers a seamless tracking system and acceptance of our property receipts.

I do not like the history section. It is kind of hard to follow.

Whether you are a vendor or supplier, avid is very convenient and easy to use.  ITs a good way to stay organized and look through any history of questions your vendor might have.

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Researching payments to see if vendors have been paid.  If we need to look at an image of an invoice, the search tools are really easy to use.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

Our suppliers can electronically submit invoices via AvidXchange, eliminating the difficult task of filtering and programming mail. If a vendor's request on a particular invoice occurs, the background tab allows us to answer any question. In case of a disagreement or a misunderstanding, the vendor question can be answered before having to chase off the others concerned. In AvidXchange, you may have an initially coded office or manager who supervises the work and approves the end of the checkout process, so the accounting is then finally released and the bank account can be taken into account.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

To reduce the time taken for compensation of invoices, AvidXchange requires some changes If we look for a purchase order as the right property ID usually does not appear. Also, most of the times AvidXchange is too fast when it comes to repaying non-vendor fees with detailed studies and to approve the customer's fees.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

AvidXchange is the perfect payable program for any multi-unit operator or a property manager. I usually spend just a couple of hours trying to enter invoices dynamically, so it works super fast.

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AvidXchange was deployed in the Financial department but it's often used in our entire organization. It has solved the problem of missing approved purchase orders from several locations and to store invoice devices to our locations for analysis. Also, AvidXchange offers openness, as it creates all certification processes at all scales with our protection. We can allocate authorization levels for workflows to distinguish between OPEX and operating expenses.

Nothing, Avidxchange is unresponsive, slow and has not once since the beginning of January actually issued a payment to me as a supplier.  Complete and utter failure as a A/P company.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

Every single thing about this organization.  I would not recommend them to anyone.  Their service is beyond horrible.

Don’t do it.

Avidxchange has only created problems for me, and for their client.  It has been a constant headache for everyone.

The software has been easy to learn/use and the customer service has been excellent. The reps have been quick and very friendly always answering all my questions and meeting my needs.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

I don't like how Avid Xchange is not compatible with Safari. Also, the credits don't appear as credits most of the time. I have to manually adjust those (even the Avid Xchange credits!).

The real estate that we gained from getting rid of filing cabinets that we previously used to house invoices.  We have been able to build two additional cubes that were once filing cabinets.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

Slow performance.  They have a lot of growth issues that are not always the best at tackling.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

Research before you go.  Make sure you know what you want when you sign up.

We work with more efficiency. We used to have to pull invoices, scan and email them to clients.  Now we just run a report and send it off.  It has saved us multiple days worth of work.

How AVID saves the GL codes to reoccurring invoices, how quickly the approval process takes, and the email reminder notifications sent daily when invoices are in your queue.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

I think in the beginning with the new update we ran into a few error codes, but after contacting help desk, they were able to assist.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

Great Software to use for invoice tracking and coding, a feature I like is you are able to upload any additional documents for the invoice for backup.

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to relocate old invoices in AVID we have approved for references.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

We use multiple accounting systems here.  Avid is only one of two that will integrate with most of the systems allowing us to have a more standardized approval process across the board.  We also use the Avid Pay system for systems using the AvidInvoice approvals and for those using an integrated system.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

There are times when the Avid process for doing things doesn't match up with what we would like them to do.  This leads to frustration on both of our parts.

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Standard approval system across most accounting systems.  Easy onboarding for our satellite offices.  Enhanced efficiencies.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

I can search for invoices not just by invoice number or dollar amount, but also by how it's coded. Great flexibility.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

There's a little bit of a learning curve when you first go "live" with the system. It can take some getting used to before you become comfortable with not having a piece of paper in your hand. It's also annoying at first when you realize that you have to screen down through all the pages of a lengthy invoice in order to find information you need. Sometimes you may need to just go ahead and print it out instead of just look at it on a screen.

We wanted to go paperless and we have! It's cut down on a lot of time and effort spent in copying and mailing paper invoices.

I like visibilty to our invoices in Avid. This increases accuracy of account coding and accruals. This visibilty also creates efficiencies during year-end audits since we give access to the system to our auditors.

Reporting module needs updated to make it more flexible, give it a more contemporary look and allow us to make it available to all users.

Eliminated paper, strengthened internal controls over invoice approvals & increased electronic payment adoption by our vendors.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

I love that there is a central location for all to review and approve invoices.  Our process before was all manual and invoices were always late.  We have changed to being able to pay invoices late, to now paying them early with the help of AvidXchange.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

There are quite a few tech issues that pop up, however, IT is good at resolving them quickly.

We have condensed the amount of paper we use and reduced the time it gets to pay invoices.

AvidXchange is easy to use and very little training is required to get the end users going. The Knowledge center has been upgraded with the recent version and it is more useful now

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

Can be a little buggy if using from a mobile phone.  Some features do not work.  The reporting section could use some work.  Would like more automated reporting by property.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

Make sure you clean your vendor list.   Do not create to many workflows.  It becomes difficult to manage.  Create default workflows by vendor wherever possible,

We no longer spend hours of time searching in filing cabinets for support.  Easy to see who holding invoices and how long they have had them in their queue

Avid is easy to navigate and if there are any issues you come across, they are quick to respond/fix.

There was a slight issue with uploading invoices.

Do it! This is a very useful tool in our accounting side of our business.

Our company is able to store less physical paperwork because it is now digitally filed through AvidXchange which also makes it much easier to research if we need to look back at anything.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

At AvidXchange the customer service is very knowledgeable and if need be they assist the customer as long as is needed. It's easy to find out where an invoice is located in case it needs to be processed out of cycle.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

The functionality of shorting in Avid inbox doesn't work as a result it is very time consuming to actually find missing invoices.

AvidXchange has streamlined my work. I can review and approve invoices from anywhere. Also is nice that I can choose to review and approve invoices a few a the time throughout the day and I don't get slammed with to many at once.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

The automation of our AP process is huge but being able to easily find invoice history has been so key for us instead of having to dig around file drawers. 

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

There are features with MRI that are not as seamless as we had hoped and we have had challenges with indexers. 

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem solved was having a place where all of our invoice history is kept since invoices were constantly going missing with the paper process. Also knowing where an invoice is sitting has saved a lot of time in processing invoices.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

It is fantastic to have invoices coded and ready for our approval.  We don't have to touch any mail and we can easily search, sort, and report.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

It would be very helpful if the reporting platform could accommodate AvidUtility invoices, as well.  We have to create and manually merge reports across the platforms which is quite time-consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

Avid makes day-to-day invoice processing easier.  Years down the road, we can still easily locate old invoices or vendors.

No more utility late fees!

Very quick and streamlined. Saves my company a lot of time.

Setup took some time in the beginning so plan for that.

Sometimes, the system has bugs, but they seemed to get fixed quickly.

Less paper and easy to use!

Less paper, and a complete audit trail of invoice review.  Before, invoices would get shuffled around the office, get lost, not get approved, and sometimes we were late with payments.  Now, they are easy to locate and track who has reviewed, if there are questions and who needs to review.

The upside of Avid is not having to print checks.

When Avid has any problems it really  throws my production off.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

Traditionally our company handled the entire payables cycle manually.  As we have grown it became more evident that the volume of invoices that were being processed was hindering real time cost and 'global view' of our jobs.  The need for a more streamlined, less incumbent process became more evident, as well as the need for users to instantly be able to access an invoice image.  As a processor I like not having to manually enter our invoices and saving (2) - (3) days in processing time.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

Project setup is somewhat a challenge because of the (2) step code integration.  It would be nice to be able to enter this at the time of initial setup when mapping the addresses.  This is the only current dislike I have encountered.

There are many benefits to the solutions we use including AVIDInbox, Invoice, and Pay.  As previously stated the time savings in processing is phenomenal, there is little to no paperwork, and all of the invoices are available online.  There is also real time cost capture which assists our team in making sure that our budgets and costs are in line on a continuous basis.

Ability to simply forward invoices to an email that will automatically be sent into Avid. Having the options to set as many or as few people as you need in the approval workflows. Easily integrates with our MRI accounting software.

High turnover rate with the data processing team. One week all you invoices are going to the correct workflow, the next, everything is put in pending queues and require my decisioning to to process.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

Be sure it fully integrates with your other accounting software. We use MRI and it works pretty well. Realize that invoice submission is at times tricky. You will need to provide all your vendors with a letter stating the requirements their invoices must meet in order to process payments without delays.

No more paper invoices, much faster pay out and less late fees.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

For the money I would rate Avid as one of the best, if the note the best automation solution available. The amount of processing that we need to do has been cut in half since we have gone live with Avid and we are not looking back. I envision we can increase our payables by another 50% before we will need to increase staff.

We also like the method of submission for invoices. Avid uses Indexers rather than OCR which means you have a person looking at every invoice that is sent to the system.

Another great thing has been the reduction in paperwork. Because every invoice is captured in the system you never have to worry about losing an invoice again! I came into a completely paper based system and people are constantly surprised as the speed we are able to retrieve invoices.

And I can't end this without mentioning AvidPay.  We currently write 500+ checks a month but will be able to reduce that to zero or very close to zero once we have fully automated payments. This will be another huge efficiency boost in our AP cycle.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

 One caveat is make sure you have fully demoed all modules and are very clear on what you are getting. The PO module is why I didn't give 5 stars and while I knew it wasn't as powerful as some others I was lead to believe it contained elements that it in fact, did not.

As I stated above, Avid uses Indexers rather than OCR and while you think the learning curve might be quicker for people vs a computer that is not necessarily true. The indexers do make mistakes and you need to pay close attention early in the implementation to make things are being coded correctly. You also need to submit tickets as things come up to help the indexers with the way you do things, or want them done. This be very helpful in the long run.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

Test other systems and make sure they integrate seamlessly with your ERP/GL system. Demo all aspects and don't be afraid to ask questions about the products and what they offer.

I think the workflow tracking is good with this software in comparison to other products on the market. You can easily make comments to other people in the workflow and communicate back and forth.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

It is slow, inefficient and clunky as well. It is difficult to search for past invoices, and the coding process is very unconventional with the number of buttons you have to click to simply code an invoice. It also does not separate different billing properties well.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

rCash (Yardi), MRI and many other platforms seem to be a lot more functional than this one. If you need to do a lot of communicating with various parties throughout the AP process, then this may be great for you. Otherwise, the platform is set up very inefficiently in comparison to other products on the market.

We are able to communicate with accounting and ownership (who are both remote) on invoicing tasks.

The best part of AvidXchange is being paperless and having a history for every single invoice that is processed. Gone are the days of spending afternoons filing away paid invoices or trying to track down an old invoice only to find it has vanished.

The part we really struggle with is the Indexing portion. Due to the large amount of entities we have and the amount of invoices that are processed, working with vendors to have the correct information on them is difficult. This leaves a lot of invoices in research queues that need to be researched and handled.

Tracking down invoices has become so much easier, especially when it comes time for audits.

I like the intuitivness of the auto-fill feature when indexing invoices. It really helps to speed up the up the process a lot! This also helps to prevent mistakes, as the intuitive suggestion gives you a second to pause and think about what you are selecting.

I seem to have an issue with a Chrome/Flash situation which causes a delay when trying to upload invoices manually. There is some feature that requires the browser to have to be told to "allow" an action to happen. This slows down the process of uploading as it causes the "browse" button to not be available until you go through the steps of allowing access.

**Recommendations to others considering AvidXchange:**

My role is not such that I have any input beyond that of a User, as our corporate offices completed all of the research. The decision-making process was a corporate decision and was rolled out company wide.. That being said, as an end user, I have found that, although there were some initial learning curves and obstacles that have required some adjustments here and there, Avid seems to be working just fine! It is expected that there would be an adjustment period with most any change that is implemented of this magnitude.

I am only an end-user of the AvidXchange software and am not in a position to speak to this question. All business decisions are made by our corporate office.

Yes.  I think the platform is very impressive.  As a construction company that has Vista as it's ERP system, we need a lot of functionality.  I think it will eventually catch up to everything we need.

**What do you like best about AvidXchange?**

The time your organization can save by automating AP processes is the best part about implemented AvidXchange.  Sorting, routing, re-routing, entering, coding, and reviewing invoices and approval was a huge time drain for our company before AvidXchange.  The amount of time our AP department spends on these tasks has been cut in half and is possibly less than 40% of the time spent prior to using AvidXchange.  

Invoices arrive and are routed through the correct departments and approvers with no input from our team.  We can see all pending invoices and follow-up on anything that seems to be stalled.  That alone has reduced the number of "missed" costs and expenses in our company.

**What do you dislike about AvidXchange?**

Implementation can be a bear.  There is a lot of information that needs to be gathered and the initial setup can take quite a bit of time.  Thankfully the AvidXchange team has made this process easy and their project managers are excellent at guiding you through the process.

**What problems is AvidXchange solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small company (less than 30 employees) so they time saved by using AvidXchange means the person who handles most of our AP has been able to move into other corporate accounting roles.  It's been great for our company and her career. 

We had a big problem with invoices for projects showing up late.  They would either get lost or end up sitting on someone's desk for months.  Having all of our invoices immediately pre-coded by the AvidXchange team and routed into a workflow has increased visibility to all of our outstanding payables and this problem has nearly been eliminated.

We use AvidInvoice, AvidPay, CreateACheck, and PayablesLockbox. Our account rep is fantastic. The implementations went very smoothly and Avid’s support teams are wonderful. We are a fairly complex company so we encountered some road blocks during implementation, but Avid was up to the challenge and worked very hard, ultimately modifying one of their products, in order to make things work for us. I loved that!  It’s rare to find a large company where team members are accessible, responsive, and hard-working, but Avid is! I have loved everyone I’ve worked with, I cannot say enough nice things about them. You won’t look back once you make the move.

That they don’t offer receivables services!

Implementation has been a beast. To get the system working properly, it takes a lot of time invested. It's the downside to being able to customize to exactly what you want, but in the long run I know it is better.

Get a really good understanding of exactly how information flows from Avid to your accounting software and then back to Avid (for AvidPay). There are more steps than I expected. We will use it and it will become second nature, I was just surprised at how many steps there are once we were actually trained on it.

It's been much easier to control invoices and avoid duplicate payments. We were paying based on statements prior to using Avid, because it was the only way to survive. Now we are able to process invoices and reconcile to statements, which has brought lots of mistakes to my attention that I would have been reacting to previously, instead of preventing.
