I use Augury as a Maintenance Engineer at a manufacturing plant to monitor motors, pumps and fans. What I like most is that Augury flags problems with a clear explanation. On one of our industrial pump motors Augury alerted us to potential bearing wear around three weeks before a possible failure so we could plan the repair instead of dealing with an unplanned stop.
The Augury alerts also tell you the fault and how severe it is so my team does not have to dig through raw vibration data to know what to do. The Augury dashboard makes it easy to see which machines need attention first. Setting up the Augury sensors was manageable with my team able to install them on equipment and start reviewing machine health data. I have been using Augury for six months and Augury has helped us take a more proactive approach, to equipment maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing major but a few things could be better.
Alerts: In the few weeks we received some alerts that turned out to be minor or not immediately actionable. It took some time to understand the alerts and fine-tune our maintenance approach to reduce noise.
Reporting: I’d like to see flexible reporting options and data exports. Now we sometimes need to pull data into Excel and organize it manually for our monthly maintenance reviews.
Overall these are limitations compared with the value we get from Augury. The early warnings and machine health insights help us plan maintenance effectively and reduce the risk of unexpected downtime. However these points are worth knowing about, before rolling it out across a plant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
