"Accurate Fault Alerts and Easy Sensor Installation with Augury"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Augury?

The thing I value most is that the alerts tell us what is actually wrong. We used to get a vibration threshold alarm and then spend an hour working out whether it was a bearing, a misalignment or just a process change. With Augury the notification usually names the fault and how urgent it is, and gives a recommended action, so my technicians know what to check before they walk out to the machine.

Installation was also much easier than I expected. The wireless sensors went on our pumps, motors and gearboxes quickly, with no cabling and almost no downtime, and data started coming in the same day. The dashboard is clear enough that my maintenance planners can use it without a vibration analysis background, which was a big factor for us since I’m the only reliability engineer on site.

Over the first year we caught a couple of developing bearing failures early enough to schedule the repair during a planned stop instead of dealing w Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Augury?

Nothing major, but a few things could be better. The mobile app is less complete than the web dashboard. Some views and settings are only available on desktop, and I’d like to be able to do more from the floor.

Alert tuning also took some back and forth at the start. In the first few weeks we got a handful of notifications on machines running non-standard duty cycles, and it took a bit of time with the Augury team to calibrate them. It settled down afterwards, but it’s worth planning for.

Finally, the pricing is subscription-based per monitored machine, so costs grow as you extend coverage. It’s easy to justify on critical assets, but it makes you think harder about whether to instrument the less critical ones. Reporting is also fairly fixed, and I would like more flexibility to export custom views for our monthly reliability reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
