**What do you like best about Attentive?**

I think the user interface of Attentive is really intuitive and simple to use. We've got a million different SaaS products for our businesses, and sometimes there's a steep learning curve for even the most simple operations. But with Attentive, the UX/UI is so intuitive that it doesn't require a ton of training or customer service help to get set up. I really like that it's easy to use and fast to set up different campaigns and flows. That's something I really appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I would say its strength is also its weakness. Some of the other integrations aren't as easy, like maybe installing it on a custom website. I'm not sure it would be as easy or even possible to do all of these things through automation with platforms other than Shopify. We considered moving off Shopify in pursuit of other sales channels, and I'm not confident Attentive would work as seamlessly elsewhere. Also, I'm not sure the setup would have been as easy without the white glove service.

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attentive significantly boosted our lead generation, getting people into funnels using coupons efficiently. The white glove service made setup easy, and the intuitive UX made it simple to use, saving us the trouble of extensive training.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

Attentive makes it easy to design templates using content blocks. The UI is simple and clean, so it’s easy to find the tools I need to build out these design templates for our campaigns and journeys. I also like how the lead-capture form flow is straightforward, moving smoothly from capturing an email to collecting SMS.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

We moved from Klaviyo to Attentive mainly for ADA compliance and cost savings. The biggest setback, though, is that Klaviyo is generally better for building highly customized, data-driven segments because it provides access to more customer data, more flexible logic, and predictive analytics. Attentive falls far short in this area, which is something we really dislike about the platform.

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attentive provides a better user experience for people visiting our site when they sign up to receive an incentive discount on their first order. It also helps by making journeys much easier to build and deploy, and the leading capture landing page is helping bring in more subscribers. We also like that Attentive saves us money month to month on email sends.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

I like that I can essentially toggle back and forth between email and SMS marketing and build out journeys and campaigns that utilize both on the same platform. This integration allows us to not overwhelm our customer base. The segmentation capability is great, as we can contact our customers at different stages of the sales cycle through different communication platforms. We use SMS for more urgent messaging and email for marketing/sales messaging, which we have found effective. The initial setup of Attentive was pretty easy, although it took a bit to get our full branding integrated.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I find the drag and drop email builder could be more customizable. Specifically, I think the placement and sizing of images could be improved and made more customizable.

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Attentive to integrate SMS and email marketing seamlessly, allowing me to toggle between the two for effective campaigns. Segmentation helps us target customers at different sales stages effectively.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

I really like Attentive for its flexibility with segmentation journeys and good white glove service for migrating and setting up everything seamlessly. The support is great, with someone always available to chat whenever I have issues or need help building new journeys. The automation features are very helpful, especially the smart sending and abandoned cart texts. As a marketer, I find the journey building easy to use, which is probably my favorite feature, and the reporting is really good. Setting up Attentive was super easy; they took care of everything, making the migration smooth.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I think the pricing is always gonna be an issue. Definitely with sending images, that's, like, super expensive, and I know that's just the rate. But we don't send them anymore because the ROI is pretty bad. And then I think on the reporting, if they included the cost of the text into the report so that you could see, like, how much you spent versus just the ROI, that would be helpful rather than having to build a custom report or two reports to review that.

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attentive provides flexibility with segmentation and automation for abandoned cart messages, enhancing customer engagement. The easy journey-building feature and reporting stand out, while integration with Shopify offers seamless communication. Initial setup was super easy as they handled our migration with great support.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

I like the interface the most about Attentive; it's very clear and easy to use. I especially like the AI-generated subject lines, which save me a lot of time. It's always clear how to build the exact email or SMS campaign I have in mind, and building segments is clear and easy too. The integrations with Facebook through Zapier and Shopify have been very easy. Also, the initial setup was very easy, as the Attentive team did a lot of the heavy lifting.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I wish the AI journeys and messaging could have guidelines, like what images to use or not use. Sometimes the AI journeys use an old image from my website that I wish I could update. Attentive is wrong a lot of the time on the location of my subscribers as it takes the IP address and connects the wrong state sometimes.

I use Attentive to connect with users in real-time when they take website actions. The interface is clear, building emails or SMS campaigns is easy, and AI-generated subject lines save time.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

I like how Attentive has helped us immediately contact customers, which has been most helpful since we used to have a lot of dropoff with delayed reconnects, if any at all. Their system has really helped us close that gap. I also appreciate how the engineering team's responsiveness in enhancing the final product has made a positive difference.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

The platform itself was not terrifically suited for some of our business needs. As with a lot of Marketing tools, it's a balance to make things user-friendly, but allow enough fine-tuning for a variety of business needs. The initial setup was taxing. There were a lot of specifics about our setup that varied from most e-retailers. Some of that was overlooked and led to frustrations.

I find Attentive to be very user-friendly and pretty automated, which saves us a lot of time analyzing data and setting up campaigns. Love the newsletters, particularly in ideating seasonally relevant campaigns, the AI features, and the user interface. I appreciate the clear data analytics, quick product rollout, and the attentive staff (that's the best part). These features make the whole experience less manual and time-consuming.

Lately since the RCS has rolled out, our campaign updates aren't saving and it is causing prolonged, duplicative work.

Attentive is user-friendly and highly automated, which saves us time on data analysis and campaign setup. It also supports our staff with seasonal campaign ideas, and the analytics are clear and easy to interpret. Overall, the experience feels far less manual and much less time-consuming.

I like that Attentive allows us to segment our audience based on purchase and engagement behavior, which is really useful for our SMS marketing. I've also appreciated being able to test out RCS messaging with Attentive because that wasn't something we could do on other platforms. The ease of use with Attentive really stands out for me. We switched to Attentive because it was a much easier-to-use tool, providing an all-in-one solution that we used for both email and SMS.

The segmentation and the data are not necessarily real time as to what we're seeing in Shopify. We had some segmentation and data issues that caused us to migrate our email platform away from Attentive but kept our SMS.

I love how super simple Attentive is to use. I like that it handles both email and SMS subscribers without any overlap, allowing us to target folks specifically in their engaged channel. The simplicity and efficiency of the tool save me time because getting things figured out, like replacing a flow or setting up A/B testing, is super easy. The support from the team at Attentive is also fantastic. They help us drive additional revenue and are always on top of things, letting us know about new features and helping us optimize the use of the tool. Everything is set up so efficiently, which is freaking amazing, and I love that the support is much appreciated.

I think a little bit more customized reporting would be helpful. The basic reporting is pretty great, but I'd like to be able to customize some of the reports.

I like Attentive for their awesome support and customer success manager (CSM) team. They really want to make sure we are using everything they have to offer. Their reporting and dashboard tools are great, easy to use, and intuitive. The sign-up units were a huge pull for us and the CSM team was appealing. We felt like we could get more support in our marketing efforts. Even though the initial setup took some additional support due to our integration with HubSpot, Attentive was helpful in doing that. Now working with our CSM has been great.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I'd like the integration with HubSpot to be stronger without having to set up our own API. I'd also like some additional editing options in the journeys tool, like being able to duplicate journeys and change the trigger or copy/paste across journeys. For the HubSpot integration, I'd appreciate more out-of-the-box syncing with HubSpot segments or contact properties.

Attentive helps us stay compliant, ensures high deliverability, offers great messaging ideas, and provides easy-to-use reporting tools. Their support and CSM team are outstanding, making a real effort to help us maximize their offerings.

Attentive is a robust platform for building personalized journeys with SMS and email. The interface is intuitive, and once you’re used to the flow, it’s easy to build and automate campaigns that actually convert. The integration with Mindbody makes it especially useful for fitness and wellness clients. I can segment based on real-time behaviors like visits, purchases, and memberships.

Customer support has been responsive, and I appreciate the documentation available. Once you get going, the results tend to speak for themselves.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

Attentive is clearly still evolving in its self-serve capabilities. Some common pain points I’ve noticed or seen others mention online include:
	•	Lack of flexibility with dynamic content blocks and email customization. Templates are limited and can feel restrictive.
	•	Slow feature rollouts: basic email features (like folders, drag-and-drop edits, or reusable content) are not as advanced as other tools.
	•	Data syncing quirks: when integrated with CRMs or systems like Mindbody, there are sometimes delays or gaps in the sync, which affects segments.
	•	Limited visibility/control for SMB users: some actions require support or a CSM to execute (like domain authentication or advanced settings).
	•	Cost model can be expensive for smaller businesses as it scales.

Also worth noting, implementation takes time. The initial setup can feel overwhelming, especially for clients who aren’t tech-savvy or don’t have marketing teams.

Attentive is helping us solve one of the biggest challenges in the fitness and wellness industry: staying consistently connected with clients in a personalized and automated way, without adding more manual work for staff. With Attentive, we can build journeys that reach clients at the right time based on their behavior, whether they’ve just booked a class, visited for the first time, or are at risk of churning. That’s allowed us to improve engagement, increase repeat bookings, and even drive more membership conversions.
It’s also helped reduce the reliance on time-consuming manual emails or SMS blasts, making communication more scalable and data-driven. The Mindbody integration is key here, since it allows us to trigger automations based on real actions clients are taking.

Attentive is very user friendly and easy to navigate with drag and drop features. The support from the platform and teams is also really great. The data is easy to digest with the reports and analytics and the sign up units make it easy to track performance. The AI features and suggestions are really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I think the best thing to improve on attentive would be the US first approach, it would be good to have on the dashboards the option to see US performance in £ rather than having to convert it manually.

Sign up units, we were finding it hard to get new customers to sign up our email and SMS sign ups are both through attentive which integrates into klayvio and straight onto our newsletter. We also had more complex sign up units such as the exit intent and pre engagement which increased our performance for sign ups significantly.

I like the simplicity of building a segment - each step allows you to see what amount of your subscribers will be eligible, helping to steer campaign builds in the right direction.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I dislike that support is based solely in America, which means that if we run into more urgent technical issues, we can’t get them addressed as quickly as would be ideal.
I also wish there was a middle ground between creating email templates and rows - something that would allow me to build a re-usable block I could drop into a template that has a mix of rows with different numbers of columns - for example, during sale we often input a section for shop by size that has a 1 column row, a 3 column row, and a 4 column row. In the current set up i have to create those as 3 different rows and input them all each time i want them on an email.

Attentive is helping us narrow our campaign sends to only those subscribers who are likely to interact, so our messaging stays targeted and reaches the people who are actually interested. As a result, it helps drive engagement and retention while also lowering spend.

I use Attentive's Journeys to create online follow-up conversations and maintain our VIP membership program for marketing. I appreciate that Journeys are self-managing once set up, and setting up exclusive offers for our VIP list customers is easy. The ability to do personalized follow-up with a small team is also a significant benefit. The initial setup was easy and I had help, which made the process smooth.

Attentive is top-notch in their SMS experience, leading the industry with new innovations and immediate, extremely helpful customer care. I find the platform very easy to use, whether it's for setting up campaigns, reporting, or anything else. The dedicated account manager is invaluable for guiding strategy. Attentive's intuitive platform updates segments in real time, and it has reliably grown our SMS revenue significantly, even surpassing email. The initial setup was extremely easy, and their white glove service was very helpful.

wish there was way to connect GA4 for last click attributed revenue within attentive platform. also wish you could mass update messages in journeys - ex. override UTM tracking fields

I like that Attentive provides one place for both email and SMS needs, making it easier for multiple departments to access information. The ease of use stands out, and having everything in one place is really beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I find it difficult to track specifics of what has been sent to customers. Troubleshooting issues can be challenging. From a customer service perspective, we often assist customers trying to find out why they are not receiving emails. It's often difficult to see specific emails sent and figure out why they are not receiving emails when they are showing they are subscribed. We also find a lot of errors where triggered emails are going out incorrectly, emails are simply not being sent, etc.

I use Attentive to manage both email and SMS needs in one place. It's easy to use and allows multiple departments to access information seamlessly.

The platform is fairly easy to use, and I really appreciate having a dedicated account manager who understands our account and is available to chat whenever I need help. That personal support is the real point of difference from Klaviyo.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

The platform can feel a bit clunkier than others. I really don’t like that templates don’t auto-save, and the delay in reporting can be pretty annoying at times—especially during big promo periods when I need to monitor things more closely.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

I find that Attentive makes reaching out to customers via SMS very easy. The platform also simplifies SMS and opt-in form testing and optimization, making these tasks pretty easy. I really like the builder. Attentive seems to be pioneering in offering different sign-up and onboarding experiences on mobile and desktop, setting itself apart as other platforms lagged behind. These features make it easier for D2C brands, and it provides easy access to analytics as well.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I wish everything was consolidated into one platform. Right now, I use Klaviyo as well, which makes things a bit fragmented. It feels like Attentive is still in its early days of becoming a full ESP, whereas I'm using other tools that already have those capabilities.

It is user friendly, easy to navigate and building new emails off of my templates is helpful especially when delegating email strategy across different team members. We are a lean team and having something that is easy to use is helpful! 

Whenever we have run into an issue the support team has been really quick and easy to work with, getting new team members on the platform is seamless. 

In comparison to other softwares, we like the pricing of attentive and the SMS features.

As easy as it is to use, as someone who doesn't have the most email management or CRM experience, there is a lot to see when you navigate through and sometimes I worry we aren't using all the features to our advantage.

The ease of use extends to handling email tasks too, as I've occasionally had to cover for my coworker, and it was very simple to figure out. Send times for SMS could be improved without having to pay for send time AI. Occasionally we have deals that are only valid at a certain time, we are located in Utah. This makes it difficult to understand if I am getting my money's worth.

My account manager has signed me up to be part of the test group for the preference center, I just need to work with him to get this executed because right now we're wanting and needing more than preference dropdown with our lightboxes.

The platform is very user-friendly which is nice for smaller teams who may need to provide coverage for PTO– easy for my manager to jump in and make tweaks without too much instruction. There are some things you can't do as a basic user (like set up A/B tests), but White Glove support via platform chat has always been quick to respond. 
They do launch a lot of new features (mainly AI) so there's definitely upsell that happens once you enroll but I've never seen a new feature roll out without the ability for a free trial before locking in at a higher rate.

Would like to see a way to train their AI content suggestions in tailored brand voice the way you can on outside platforms, or with using best-performing past sends. As-is, the content suggestions are way too generic.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

The customer service is unmatched. My rep spent over an hour going through the weeds with me on journey-specific recommendations.. breaking down strategy, optimizing flows, and giving truly personalized guidance. I've never had a representative at any platform invest that kind of time and attention into helping me succeed. It didn't feel like a generic support call; it felt like having a strategic partner who genuinely cared about my results. That level of dedication makes a huge difference, especially when you're building out complex SMS programs.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

It's on the pricier side compared to other SMS platforms, but I recognize that you get what you pay for and Attentive consistently delivers best-in-class results. So the investment feels justified.
My two main gripes are around transparency. First, the reporting dashboard lumps in revenue that isn't directly attributable to SMS, which inflates the actual numbers and makes it harder to get an accurate read on true SMS performance. When I'm presenting results to leadership, I need to trust the data and right now I find myself having to dig deeper to separate what Attentive is actually driving versus what's being loosely attributed with "other revenue".

Second, I wish there was more proactive communication around upcoming features and new capabilities like RCS. I'd love to hear about what's on the roadmap before it launches rather than finding out after the fact. A little more transparency on the innovation side would go a long way in helping me plan ahead and get even more out of the platform.

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were on Attentive for 2–3 years before switching to Klaviyo for SMS, and the drop in performance was immediate and significant. Klaviyo's SMS capabilities just weren't measuring up and getting proper support was like pulling teeth. We had to beg for a dedicated rep, and when we finally got one, they only wanted to focus on email. SMS felt like an afterthought.
Since returning to Attentive, the difference has been night and day. The biggest thing for us was finding a partner that's fully dedicated to SMS, not treating it as a bolt-on to an email platform. With Attentive, I know my rep is laser-focused on helping me build a stronger SMS program, and that level of specialized support makes all the difference.
We struggled with maintaining the SMS revenue we had built 2–3 years ago after the switch to Klaviyo. We're still less than a year into our return to Attentive, but I can already see us getting back on track to hitting those numbers thanks to the dedicated support, AI-powered tools, and a platform that's purpose-built for SMS.
More than anything, Attentive gives me the confidence to invest the time and attention into SMS that it deserves. When you have the right tools and the right partner behind you, the channel gets the focus it needs to actually perform.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

We love how hands on the Attentive team is and how growth minded they are. Always wanting to to grow, the Attentive team is receptive to all of our feedback and continually dropping new product drops, which we love testing.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

Our biggest struggles with Attentive has been that the platform is playing catch up in terms of the email functionality. My team has requested numerous product requests, which the Attentive team has already provided many new updates to address. But overall it’s the catching up to other email first platforms that is our biggest roadblocks when it comes to Attentive.

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attentive is definitely solving the problems of reducing subscribers receiving the same messages via email and SMS by allowing us to create multi-media journeys, which ultimately improve the customer experience. Also Attentive is on the forefront of AI technology and how brands can use AI to improve customer experience, personalization, and much more.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

We've been using Attentive for our SMS marketing efforts, and the results have been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we onboarded, the team at Attentive made the process seamless, offering hands-on support and expert guidance every step of the way. Setup was seamless and east, and once we decided to move forward with Attentive we were able to get started fast!

Now, having used this for years across multiple brands, the platform has gotten even easier to use and more accessible to have additional stakeholders in.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

Cost and pricing can be a bit prohibitive as well as challenging with lack of transparency in rates. 

International hurdles are also challenging at times, but that may be a byproduct of legislation differences rather than Attentive policy

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to speak to our customer lists in a time sensitive and personal way. Before it there was a serious reliance on emails that were sent at one pre-determined time during the day that always came earlier to try and beat other's to the punch.

I cannot say enough good things about the Attentive team. From day one, it hasn't felt like we just bought a software license, it feels like we gained an extension of our own marketing team. Their customer success managers are proactive, strategic, and genuinely invested in our ROI. If you're looking for a platform where the service is as high-quality as the tech, this is it.

I honestly have nothing negative to say. Anything we’ve asked them to do even things they don’t normally offer, they’ve either been able to provide or have worked with us to find a solution, helping make our marketing goals and ideas a reality.

We’ve been using Attentive for a few years and the platform is a game-changer. The UI is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to build complex journeys and segments without needing a technical degree. What really sets them apart is the service, their onboarding made the transition seamless, and the ongoing support is the best I've experienced in the CRM marketing world.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

I really appreciate that Attentive allows us to easily reach our customers where they most want to be reached. I value how easy it is to deploy SMS and MMS text messages to our customers. I love the functionality of being able to schedule multiple messages for a specific sale instead of individually scheduling them. The setup, despite being somewhat complicated for us initially, is generally very easy.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

The only aspect of Attentive that is somewhat challenging is just some of their features are locked by default, and you have to reach out to customer service to get them to work for you. I understand that they kind of gate keep some of the items for safety or things like regulations, but in other ways, sometimes there's something you may want to be able to do that you can't simply because they just don't want you to be able to do that and have it locked.

I use Attentive to easily reach our customers where they most want to be reached.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

The Attentive platform is so intuitive. The reporting capabilities are great, and it's incredibly easy to set up campaigns from start to finish. The White Glove customer support and chat service is incredible and so responsive; it's quick and easy to solve any issues whether technical or user error. Attentive is also always on the forefront of technological advances, making sure their clients are able to get their hands on the latest tools.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

It's difficult to obtain information about who the subscribers are within segments - the segments and customers within them are not easily downloadable, so you cannot use segment analysis for customer research like you can with some other ESPs.

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attentive helps us identify and reach mobile-first customers, boosting engagement where it matters most. Unlike email, which is often ignored or spread across a customer's multiple inboxes, texts are seen quickly and are tied to a more reliable customer identity via phone numbers. The platform also saves us time with easy-to-use tools that let us quickly launch and optimize campaigns.

**What do you like best about Attentive?**

I like the attentive white glove service. It really helps me move things along for clients and figure out more complex problems we're facing. I always feel like I get a really great response, and issues are handled really quickly. It allows me to solve any issues I'm facing really fast. I also find it helpful in implementing more complex things that our clients want to focus on within the platform. I feel that's a really great benefit overall. The initial setup was easy, especially with the white glove service.

**What do you dislike about Attentive?**

I think the overall journey building experience could be improved. For example, Klaviyo has a much more seamless process. There's a lot more capabilities such as cloning different flows that make the process a lot easier and allows for a lot of additional testing and other capabilities.

**What problems is Attentive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attentive provides my clients with a complete life cycle journey that enhances their experience, which in turn makes my job easier.
