I appreciate how intuitive and well-organised Ashby is; as soon as I log in, on the landing page, I can see exactly what tasks are pending and what needs to be prioritised that day. It's a small thing, but having that clarity from the get-go makes it so much easier to start the day organised.
In general, the platform is easy to use and handles high volumes of data well. We're currently recruiting for 17 positions and managing thousands of applications, yet there's been little lagging or platform issues. I like how candidate profiles are structured, with multiple applications from the same candidate being grouped together under a single 'candidate profile', making it easy to access their application history without having to jump between pages; shout-out to the function which highlights potential duplicate profiles, it's saved us a lot of confusion.
The integrations offered are another plus. I use both Ashby's AI Notetaker and Metaview for interviews, and being able to access transcripts and attach them directly to candidate profiles means everything is actually kept in one place and saves me switching between multiple platforms throughout the day (and it definitely saves some much-needed tab space!). The LinkedIn integration is also much appreciated -- being able to add profiles straight to Ashby and having it auto-populate the basic details may only save a minute per profile, but it adds up quick.
I also need to highlight the dashboards and analytics. Even on the Foundations plan, having a clear weekly overview of recruitment activity is so helpful for tracking candidate movements and understanding what is happening across our pipeline.
And finally, a shout-out to the customer support! We migrated from Workable and encountered a few issues during the transition, but the Ashby team was really helpful and responsive from the beginning. Their help centre is also great, I don't think I've appreciated an FAQ page quite so much. I've found that most of my questions can be answered quickly just by looking through the available resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think one of the main drawbacks is that, depending on how you hiring process is structured, some of the features in your Ashby plan might not really be useful. While Ashby accommodates a wide variety of recruitment processes, we've occasionally had to find workarounds to make certain aspects of the platform fit our workflow, which was a bit of a headache initially. That said, this is very dependent on how your team operates and what you need from an ATS.
Another area I think could use some improvement is the AI Notetaker. While I appreciate having it built into the platform, I also use Metaview and generally find its transcription accuracy, AI notes, and ability to identify and summarise key discussion points to be more detailed and reliable. Ashby's AI notes aren't as useful as I'd like, and its AI assistant doesn't feel quite as sophisticated in comparison. I expect this will improve over time, but at the moment, I'd consider it one of the weaker features of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
