Our main reason for choosing Ashby was its focus on a data-driven approach to recruitment and strong functionality around reporting. As TA Lead, it is important to me to have correct and easy-to-access data about my team's performance, which is always live and up-to-date. And I can report on almost any metric or field in the system and create comprehensive dashboards with visualizations that I can share with management.
Other than that, Ashby has useful automations (scheduling, feedback collection, email campaigns, native integrations with Slack, HRM systems, notetaker, and Zapier). They also release new features constantly that help improve the usability of the platform. It is also very flexible and can be customised according to our needs, with various options to add custom fields that are specific to our business.
We haven't tested many AI features yet, but they are definitely in our backlog, as I see potential for our workflows. What's important for me is that AI functionality should support hiring decisions rather than making them, so I appreciate Ashby's approach to developing their AI features that still remain human-centric. As a recruitment agency and service company, we find some of Ashby's functionality less relevant to our needs, as the platform is primarily designed for internal hiring teams.
One feature we would particularly benefit from is the ability to share candidate profiles with external stakeholders who don't have Ashby accounts. Since our clients typically don't need or want access to our ATS, a simple way to share candidate profiles externally would help us streamline collaboration and reduce our reliance on additional tools.
That said, we understand that this limitation is largely related to our specific business model, and it hasn't significantly disrupted our workflows. We can also use integrations like Zapier to automate processes between Ashby and other tools, which helps bridge some of these gaps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
