Ashby brings a lot of the recruiting workflow into one platform without making it feel overly complex. From a Principal Recruiter perspective, the combination of a strong ATS, sourcing capabilities, reporting, and automation is particularly valuable.
The UI/UX is one of its strongest points. It is intuitive to navigate, and having candidate information, interview feedback, scorecards, and pipeline activity in one place makes it much easier to manage multiple searches and stay on top of hiring processes.
I find the AI capabilities promising, particularly around interview note-taking and reducing administrative work for recruiters and interviewers. The possibility to spend less time on documentation and more time on candidate and stakeholder interaction is a significant benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main area I would improve is the depth and flexibility of some features. Ashby is very powerful, but with that comes a learning curve, particularly when you want to move beyond the standard workflows and build more advanced reports, dashboards, or processes.
The reporting and analytics are strong overall, but some more complex reporting requirements can require a good understanding of how the underlying data is structured. For a recruiting team that wants highly customized metrics, there can be a bit of a gap between what is available out of the box and what requires additional configuration.
I would also like to see the AI functionality continue to mature. The potential is significant, but AI features need to consistently save meaningful time while maintaining accuracy and giving recruiters enough control over how the output is used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
