**What do you like best about Asana?**

I've started using dashboards and other features in projects and the automation feature for turning tasks in a seperate backlog project, to then action and assign the task once put in the main project. With Asana's AI, it helps break down big tasks into smaller achieveable ones making it much easier to progress.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Intergrations are key to our scaling business, and right now the Google Workspace intergration can be a little wonky. Attaching emails or refering them in tasks is key to anyone who doesnt have the whole company in Asana, or people less familliar with task managers and still email requests. I think with another look at the intergration, and with Asana AI to help flesh them out, would be super helpful!

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our marketing tasks used to be in a google doc which kind of got busy and required tons of updates and communication, our plan is now in a dynamic piece of software with proper notifications, easy to break down subtasks,  and hosts all of the information needed.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Updates are always rolling out from the Asana Team, which shows that they are constantly taking feedback and making adjustments. The AI integration for building custom rules is helpful for those who don't know where to start, and they keep adding ways to ensure that things are cleaned up and functional.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I would like to see the Mobile App "Home" tab to get some love. It would make sense for all the widgets to stay consistent on each interface. For example, the Private Notepad is limited to the desktop app/web version, which is not handy if you only have your phone and you need something from there.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana catalogues the work that we need to get done (tasks and projects), which helps free our brains to execute on those items. Additionally, through rules, custom fields, and other automations and integrations, Asana solves the problem of systems being too complex, or not being genuinely beneficial.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

There have been some great additions and changes in Asana, and they’ve made day-to-day planning feel easier.

I’m especially into the newer compact Inbox view, it’s simpler to scan, and I can take in more at a glance without getting bogged down. The AI features are also becoming more and more useful. The AI Summary and Project Overview help me get up to speed quickly, particularly when a project has a lot moving at once.

One update I really rate is Asana’s AI risk report. It can run automatically and gives an AI-powered analysis that helps flag potential project risks, summarise what’s worth paying attention to, and suggest ways to mitigate issues before they escalate.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

A year in, it feels pretty second nature but the biggest challenge for me is keeping things tidy when work ramps up. If I don’t do a quick clean-up each week, tasks and updates start piling up, and it can feel like there’s “too much” in front of me. 

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana serves as an incredibly valuable collaboration tool, particularly for someone who loves planning and effective task delegation. With Asana, you can seamlessly assign tasks to team members and monitor the progress of each assignment. This not only ensures a clear distribution of responsibilities but also provides a real-time overview of how work is progressing.

The transparency of task statuses and deadlines is a great for collaboration. Team members can quickly identify where I am in my work, preventing misunderstandings and ensuring that everyone is on the same page.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like using Asana for organizing projects and developing workflows to keep our team organized. It helps in cross-departmental collaboration and project management by breaking down communication barriers and keeping all conversations and assets related to projects together. I appreciate that it provides business continuity for the organization. I like that when a workflow works for me, I can create a template and continue to reuse it, so I'm not recreating the wheel for every project. I also like the custom rules and the forms. The initial setup of Asana was easy.

There can be a big learning curve for less techy coworkers. It can be hard to get everyone's buy-in.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to break down communication barriers and keep project conversations and assets together, ensuring business continuity. It helps organize projects and workflows, facilitates cross-departmental collaboration, and allows me to create reusable workflow templates.

It is easier to use with Google calendar. We are a company that uses both daily among our work operations. The integration with Asana and Google calendar has been good for our work meetings.

The search bar of Asana could be improve. It needs to be easier to find work projects or tasks with the search bar. I have lost time looking for completed projects with Search in Asana.

Asana is solving problems with work task delegation so the right projects are being worked on with the right people. Asana is solving problems with time management with the timelines set on projects and organizing what to prioritize. Asana is also solving the problem of meeting efficiency with more focused meetings with management. It is benefiting the small business we have in terms of saving time, resources, and projects focused in the right area.

What I like most about Asana is how clearly it helps me see my work. All tasks are organized in one place, so I always know what I need to do and what is coming next. Creating tasks, setting due dates, and assigning work to team members is very simple. Even when projects become large, Asana keeps everything structured and easy to follow. I also like how flexible Asna is. I can view my work in different ways, such as lists, boards, or timelines. depending on what feels easiest at the moment. This helps me plan my day better and manage long-term projects without feeling overwhelmed. The reminders and notifications are helpful because they make sure nothing important is forgotten.

One thing I dislike about Asana is that it can feel a bit heavy for very small tasks or simple personal use. If someone only needs a basic to-do list, Asana might feel like more than necessary. It takes some time to fully understand all features, especially for new users. Another downside is that some powerful features are available only in paid plans. For teams on a tight budget, this can be limiting. Also, notifications can sometimes become too frequent if settings are not adjusted properly, which may feel distracting.

Asana solves the problem of work confusion and poor task tracking in many teams, work gets lost in emails. chats or meetings, and people are unsure about responsibilities and deadlines. Asana brings clarity by putting all tasks, deadlines, and ownership in one visible system. For me the biggest benefit is better focus and time management. I can clearly see my priorities for the day and plan my work without stress. It reduces mental load because I don't have to remember everything; Asana keeps track for me. It also improves collaboration. Everyone knows who is working on what, which reduces repeated questions and misunderstandings. Progress is visible, so meetings become more meaningful and shorter. It helps reduce follow-ups and constant checking. Earlier I had to ask people again and again about task status. With Asana, updates are already there, so I save time and avoid unnecessary messages. It brings accountability to the team. When a task is clearly assigned to someone with a deadline, there is less confusion and fewer excuses for delays. This makes everyone more responsible and improves overall work quality. It makes planning long-term work much easier. Big projects often feel scary, but Asana breaks them into small tasks. This helps me move step by step instead of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. It improves transparency between managers and team members. Everyone can see progress without pressure or micromanagement. The best of Asana is their tools to ensure projects, tasks, and to-do list is organized and completed within the time-frame. Bright and lightweight interface to search for tools and choose the right features for the specific work. Using the assignment creation to create new tasks has several benefits like adding due-dates and auto status update to easily track tasks status at any time. In addition, Asana recurring tasks automates task creation and can be assign on specific time and it has save me time from manually create it everyday at specific time.

Using Asana for the last three years is helpful and it has provide me with many high-quality project management and easy result, some minor issues that I dislike is with the project budgeting that is not accurate in allocating budgets based on project progress, it is too complicated to use and not really working for me.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

If you're a project manager, Asana is almost a necessity.

It is one of the most effective ways to organize projects. It lets you set up tasks, assign clear responsibilities to team members, and track overall status and progress so your work stays on track.

You can manage multiple projects at once because each project is contained within its own dedicated page. From there, you can create customized tasks in the order they need to happen, and you can also set up sub-tasks when you want to get more detailed.

What I love most about Asana is that it helps hold everyone accountable. Once you set up tasks and due dates, you can assign team members to specific roles. To assign a task to someone, type "@" and choose a team member from the list. Once assigned, they'll be notified in Asana and through their sign-in email address. After a task is complete, each team member can click the checkbox, and the project can keep moving through each stage of the process.

If you're working with someone outside your organization on a project, invited team members only have access to the information within the project they're assigned to. That way, they only see the project they're involved with.

On top of that, you can access Asana in a variety of ways. You can use the website through a browser or use the desktop and smartphone apps.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The only real downside to using Asana is getting everyone comfortable with how it works. It's most beneficial when everyone on the team understands how to use it and does so consistently. For some people, there can be a learning curve because of the way it's structured, so it may take a bit of time for the whole team to get on the same page.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you’re managing several projects, you need a tool that clearly shows where each one stands in the process. Asana is a valuable project management resource because it lets you view an overview of all projects in development, either from your dashboard or by using the drop-down within the Projects tab. It also helps you stay on top of tasks by offering list, board, gantt, and calendar views, so you can choose the format that makes the most sense for what you’re tracking. If something isn’t getting done, it’s easier to spot where things are falling behind and make sure everything stays on track. And if a team member runs into an issue, they can communicate it to you directly within the project. Overall, it reduces the need to ask, “Why didn’t that get done?” because you can quickly see the breakdown and what’s holding things up.

In e-commerce, tasks like inventory audit or quality check are often collaborative efforts. The thing with Asana is you are forced to use subtasks or collaborators as a workaround, which can make it hard to see wo is actually working on what at the moment. Other tools such as Monday.com or clickup allow for multiple assignees, which feels more natural for team based roles.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

What I like best about Asana is how clear it makes work ownership and progress.

Tasks are easy to create, assign, and track, and there’s very little ambiguity about who’s responsible for what. You can see what’s in progress, what’s blocked, and what’s overdue at a glance, which cuts down on follow-ups and status meetings.

I really like the multiple views. List, board, timeline, and calendar views let different teams work the way they prefer without changing the underlying structure. It adapts well whether you’re managing day-to-day tasks or longer project plans.

The dependencies and timelines are another strong point. Being able to see how one task impacts another helps with realistic planning and avoids surprises later.

Asana also strikes a good balance between structure and usability. It’s powerful enough to manage complex projects but still approachable for people who aren’t project management experts.

Overall, it brings order to work. Things feel more predictable, visible, and easier to manage, especially when multiple teams are involved.

What I dislike most about Asana is that it can start to feel heavy as projects and teams scale.

With a lot of tasks, subtasks, custom fields, and rules, things can become cluttered if there isn’t strong discipline around how projects are structured. Without clear conventions, it’s easy for boards and lists to get messy and harder to navigate.

The notification system can also be overwhelming. You can end up getting notified for changes that aren’t always relevant, which creates noise unless you spend time tuning settings.

Some advanced features feel locked behind higher plans, which can be limiting if you want deeper reporting or automation without upgrading.

Reporting, while improving, still feels less flexible compared to more enterprise-focused tools. For complex cross-project insights, it sometimes requires workarounds or exports.

Asana works best when teams are aligned on how to use it. Without that alignment, it can quickly become more work to manage than it saves.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is solving the problem of unclear ownership and lack of visibility in day-to-day work.

It gives teams a shared place to track tasks, deadlines, and dependencies, so work doesn’t live in scattered messages or personal to-do lists. Everyone knows what they’re responsible for and how their work fits into the bigger picture.

It also helps solve coordination issues across teams. Dependencies and timelines make it clear when one task is blocking another, which reduces last-minute surprises and constant follow-ups.

Another problem it addresses is progress tracking. Instead of asking for status updates, you can see real-time progress directly in the project view.

The benefit for me is predictability and focus. Work feels more organized, priorities are clearer, and there’s less time spent chasing updates or figuring out what needs to be done next. It helps teams stay aligned and move forward with fewer misunderstandings.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana was first introduced to me and my team by a Volunteer. I find it great for tracking tasks and follow up's. It greatly helps me with staying aligned on my work priorities. The layout is very clear, and allows me to manage multiple projects and I love the colour coding function.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The volunteer who taught me how to use Asana is a very experienced user of Asana and tech‑savvy, and after their demonstration, I was able to understand the system quite well. However, as a new user myself, I found it a bit challenging to replicate the training for another volunteer who isn’t as tech‑savvy.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me keep on all of my work tasks improving my productivity and reducing chances of double handling of any tasks, saving me so much time and effort. I love it!

The recent updates to AI Teammates and Smart Rules are incredible. We’ve been able to automate the 'triage' process. Asana now recognizes which project a task belongs to and assigns the right custom fields automatically.

Asana has added amazing AI tools recently, but the interface is starting to feel a bit crowded. It would be great to see more UI customization to hide features we don’t use. Also, the lack of native multi-assignee support remains a top request

Asana is a powerful and versatile project management tool. It has solved our problem of managing tasks between different teams, especially when each team's task needs to be started separately until a certain point when we have to integrate them.

I really like that I can track my fundraising goals and have essentially built a live dashboard of data that I can reference at any time - via website or app on my phone. It keeps things organized so I can answer any questions team or board members may have.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The integration with Teams is a little flawed. Some times the notifications may indicate that a team member took an action on a project, when it was really me. It can be a but distracting but I hope that it will be cleaned up soon.

Asana helps me organize and track all of my important tasks as the come up. I never miss a deadline.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana provides a platform to help keep all tasks and projects in order so that people don't have to go to a bunch of different places to get updates for projects. Anyone can add to it, so it is easy to implement.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It isn't as easy to use and keep up with as I would like - I feel like I have to take a specific course to learn how to use it properly for projects that I lead or am on. If it wasn't for that, I would be using more on a day to day basis vs just to check off tasks that my managers have given me.

It helps ensure that there are clarity on priorities and projects, helps with communication around them, time management, team alignment and accountability.

I love how it is a one-stop-shop to delegate tasks and communicate creative to the rest of the team.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The only thing I would ask to improve is the ease of pre-set sections. When I have a Section in Q1, I want to be able to better duplicate all of the tasks and subtasks for Q2 for projects that repeat exactly the same throughout the year, with all the assignees and due date cadences.

We are able to holistically see as a team what needs to get done by what date, so that we are all able to provide better updates to each other in our team meetings. It's more efficient.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I love the templates that I'm able to create and then relaunch every year. Since our ministry year looks the same more or less, having a template that we can use year to year is really helpful. It saves me a lot of time, as I'm able to use the template to build out the projects and pre-assign due dates and assignees. This just saves us an incredible amount of time.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I'm not able to use as many of the automated workflows as I'd like to, or maybe I just don't understand it. It could be helpful to have more suggestions or a way to interact easier to figure out if we could turn some of our projects or tasks into automations. Also, we didn't love how it was integrated with Microsoft or Outlook. It was easy to set up, but to understand, it's taken us a little while.

I use Asana to organize workflows for our church ministry, saving time by assigning tasks during meetings and avoiding sticky notes. It helps streamline project setup using reusable templates, making our processes efficient.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana continues to be an amazing tool for us. We have been utilizing it more recently to see the bandwidth of staff, so we can see where we can be more efficient and improve workflow. It has helped the workflow at the agency immensely. I don't know what we would do without it.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Every once in a great while, there is an outage, and it really does hinder workflow. However, that really talks to how much we depend on it. 

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization, on-time task completion, time tracking spent on tasks, and employee accountability. All of these things allow us to complete items on time, accountable and collaboratively.

Oh, their billing is an issue… I actually subscribed in end October for an annual plan and I got a discount for their plan in early December as a startup program benefit but when I reached out they just refused to allow me to make any changes. This is totally not cool. Following next, I want to cancel my subscription as I no longer find it reasonable nor ethical and I want to cut my cost, I want them to refund the remaining amount but they don't too. It's very frustrating as the product no longer serves my needs and their CS is not empathetic at all. Also, the initial setup of Asana was difficult.

It clears my head as a marketing lead and marketing work is rarely linear and I am usually juggling campaigns, content, feedback, launches, and last minute changes at the same time. Asana gives me one place where everything feels visible and under control without feeling rigid. I always know what I am responsible for, what is coming next, and what might block progress. Since I lead a team, it also makes it much easier to track progress and performance without micromanaging, because I can see ownership, timelines, and momentum at a glance.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It can start to feel heavy if the setup is not done thoughtfully, with too many projects, custom fields, and rules, it is easy to overengineer the system and turn simple marketing work into admin work. Some teammates can feel overwhelmed at first, especially if they are new to structured project management tools, and it takes time to build good habits. I also find that reporting can feel a bit rigid unless you invest time upfront in structure, and quick one off or very creative tasks sometimes feel like they do not naturally fit into the system.

I think the best thing about Asana is that it can be easily integrated into other platforms and also integrate other platforms within Asana. This way, it allows us to create different automations that we are currently exploring. It easily integrates into anything, so any application that we already use or tool is, like, 99% sure to integrate with Asana. Asana is one of those software applications I had never used before my current job, but now it's hard to imagine working without it! Not only is it easy to use, but I also found it easy to integrate into my day-to-day work. In past jobs, I used to have a daily or weekly to-do list, but now I just check my Asana for tasks for that week. I use it every workday, and it's instrumental, especially with the kind of work that my company does, with lots of moving parts. Having the status of clients' projects and other information (like my colleague's comments on tasks) right at your fingertips has been a game-changer for sure.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

There aren't many downsides to Asana for me, aside from a slight learning curve with the software. Some features aren't as intuitive, like adding a task to the specific project heading or subheading, which can be confusing to do at first. A minor dislike I have for Asana is that a comment's timestamp shows only the number of days since the person commented, not the date itself. Having a timestamp of the date and time that they commented would make things easier and faster.

Asana solves the problems of not only time management, but also workflow and project management, along with project collaboration. I like Asana’s user-friendly interface and seamless integration with other tools like Slack and Outlook. 

One unique feature is how it handles portfolios, projects, tasks, and subtasks. This is achieved through its graphical presentation and multihoming capabilities, which is particularly useful for large teams. If you’re coming from an Excel spreadsheet background, this feature will be a game-changer.

We use Asana for various purposes, including work planning, vendor management, and general project management.

I took a deep dive into the software about a year ago and recently became an Asana ambassador!

Asana's layout is highly engaging and interactive with many features such as automations, fields that populate directly into your project from created request forms, and an insane amount of reporting ability at multiple levels of a workflow.  It also integrates with a TON of outside platforms that companies utilize on a regular basis, allowing everything to flow into one place for your various teams and clients.  Once you go through the trainings and get the hang of it, I think it's very easy to implement into our workflow!  I use it every day, multiple times a day.

Jumping into the platform, some of it is very intuitive and some of it isn't.  When you try to automate, and things go wonky... it can be very confusing.  BUT- that said, Asana has some of the best FREE trainings I've ever seen in other platforms.  They do live trainings that you can schedule around your workday as well as numerous video recordings and even a CERTIFICATION PROGRAM!!!!  I feel like this more than makes up from any difficulty learning the platform.  (I should have started there first.) :)

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I appreciate Asana for its effectiveness in managing tasks within our church and staff. The platform's ability to assign tasks and organize staff meetings has significantly enhanced our efficiency. The feature I find most valuable is being able to open Asana and immediately see what tasks I need to accomplish for the day, which streamlines my daily workflow. I also like the customizable rules provided by Asana, which allow us to control the visibility of information according to our needs. These capabilities have made a substantial difference in how we organize and execute our responsibilities.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I find it challenging that Asana's pricing structure doesn't offer flexible options for small teams like ours. We run a small church and need to add more users, but the plan jumps from five users to ten without intermediate options. This results in a significant increase in cost, which is difficult to justify for just a couple more users. Additionally, the initial setup of Asana was daunting, and we relied heavily on our daughter's experience with the platform to get started. Without her guidance, the setup would have been much harder for us.  She was already using it at her church

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to track what everyone is doing and assign tasks, improving our church staff's effectiveness. It provides a clear view of tasks and calendars, enhancing our productivity and organization.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana has such a variety of tools that allow me to automate workflows, stay on track with my tasks, and stay organized. The basic tools are easy to use and easy for my team to implement into their work routines. I use it every day and would not know what to do without it.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

All of its features can seem overwhelming at time and there's a learning curve to using the most advanced features.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the problem of having to keep track of tasks in a planner that I'd have to individually collaborate with my team members about. Asana helps me collaborate with my colleages and automate workflows that save us time and help us keep progressing.

We use Asana mostly to create a timeline for our projects milestones, and to know where and how we will implement changes to a project. It's interface is very good at timelines.

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I love how Asana offers extensive customization options for my task boards, allowing me to tailor them to my specific use cases. This flexibility means I can easily create private boards or tasks as needed and link and reference between different boards. The chat feature is also outstanding; messaging is seamless, and I can effortlessly add files and photos. Plus, the ability to reference different tasks by just pasting a URL into the chat makes collaboration straightforward and efficient. I genuinely appreciate the flawless integration of notifications with Windows and the availability of the Asana mobile app, which ensures I stay informed even when I am on the go or when Asana is not open on my desktop. Additionally, working on multiple projects has become significantly easier, and Asana stands out compared to Trello, which my previous employer used. It's miles ahead in terms of functionality and user experience. Another major plus is Asana’s easy setup, which lets me endlessly customize with ease.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I find searching between tasks to be very difficult. With thousands of tasks in Asana, remembering key words is nearly impossible, making the process cumbersome. I would appreciate a feature that identifies similar past tasks when a new task is created, which would improve task management and efficiency.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana for task management, providing a customizable space to create, modify, and organize tasks efficiently. Its seamless chat and notification integration enhance communication and project handling, even on mobile.

I really appreciate the range of features included with just the first tier of their product. It gives us the flexibility to scale whenever we need to.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

We are facing challenges with user adoption. Since we lack a dedicated software support administrator, this has become a significant gap within our company. I personally do not have enough time to fully manage adoption practices. I'm also unsure whether there is an onboarding process available that could help us jumpstart implementation.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool provides us with a comprehensive overview of our department's projects, as well as those of other departments. It also enables us to have a main project administrator who can utilize the projects and tasks features to effectively manage the time and workload of both individuals and entire departments.

I love Asana's intuitive, visually-driven interface. The Board and Timeline views make it incredibly easy to see where a project stands at a glance. The ability to create forms and automate processes with custom rules is a game-changer for streamlining workflows like project requests, saving significant time and effort. Asana's capacity to handle both detailed tasks and high-level portfolios is invaluable for keeping everyone from individual contributors to leadership aligned on goals.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

While the platform is powerful, the full suite of features can be overwhelming for new users without proper training. The learning curve for advanced features like rules and integrations can be steep. Also, integrating with other tools, while possible, can sometimes be a bit clunky, requiring a good amount of setup and maintenance.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana has solved our problem of fragmented communication and project management. Before Asana, we relied on a mix of emails, spreadsheets, and chat apps, leading to missed deadlines and a lack of transparency. Asana provides a single source of truth for all projects, from initial request to completion. This centralized approach has eliminated manual bottlenecks, improved team collaboration, and provided a clear view of our progress towards key company objectives, ultimately boosting our efficiency and accountability.
