What do you like best about ARMS?

It is very easy to use for most of its features. The options for inputting data are very simple. The program has many default crimes already available, but admin users can add more based on local jurisdiction. There are numerous drop down boxes that are easy to understand. It is also a very stable program. I don't recall it ever crashing while I'm using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ARMS?

The dispatch features are more complicated compared to earlier versions. It takes longer to train new dispatchers because of this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ARMS:

If the software doesn't have a feature you need, contact the ARMS people, and ask if it can be added. They might surprise you. We asked about modifying the program and they were able to change a few things for us. It never hurts to ask! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ARMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

This program handles all of our departments needs. We use it for all police report writing and dispatching. There are thousands of individuals entered into the Master Name file of the program, which makes it a lot easier to enter them into future reports. The fleet management section is very useful for mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records. There are sections for property/evidence inventory, Clery Act statistics, suspect vehicle information, etc. If it has to deal with police work, there's a section in the program for it.
