"Arcserve: Reliable, Easy-to-Set Up Backups with Secure Tape Retention"

What do you like best about Arcserve?

Arcserve is as reliable a backup software as you can get. All features and options are easy to setup and once you setup your backup jobs you can forget about them. We really excited about being able to backup to tapes as well, as this really enables us to expand our retention. Also since tapes are not online this gives as the extra security of our tape backups being safe in case of a malware attack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Arcserve?

Well the only thing that we would like to be better and that's the price... Well, one can always wish for better prices, but in the end you usually get what you pay for... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Arcserve solving and how is that benefiting you?

Arcserve is in the backup market for a very long time. So they have a long history of supporting backups on tape. Most newer backup companies skip the support of backups to tape, probably because of the challenge it poses to implement this a a feature. We are very happy to be able to backup to tapes as well, along with our online backups that have their own advantages (an disadvantages). So we get to have the advantages of both!
