What do you like best about ArcGIS GeoEvent Server?

ArcGIS GeoEvent server provides real-time situation awareness which is crucial for mission-critical operations. GeoEvent server allows control centers to keep track of the real-time situation of field assets. It also allows analyzing the event and, on top of all this, users can also forecast the upcoming trends and make better decisions ahead of time. Another best thing which I like is it provides the adapters by using them you can get data from any device and show it on top of the map. Analyzing multiple streams of data in one place gives GeoEvent server an edge over other co-existing technologies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ArcGIS GeoEvent Server?

Initial setup is painful with GeoEvent server. It could be more simplified for users and administrators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ArcGIS GeoEvent Server solving and how is that benefiting you?

I had used ArcGIS GeoEvent server for vehicle tracking and asset tracking for a utility company. By using ArcGIS GeoEvent server, we were able to track live locations of crew members, and the control center was able to give instructions based on the actual live situation on the ground. ArcGIS GeoEvent server showed us its crucial need in the event of a wildfire, and by using it, we successfully limited the loss of ground assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
