What do you dislike about ArcGIS Data Interoperability?

Occasional lack of clarity as to why some data connections fail - e.g. WFS server connections Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Data Interoperability:

A useful aspect of the Data Interoperability extension is some functionality, e.g. importing .gml files, does not need the extension to be turned on, only installed. This means a small number of extension licences can potentially provide for a bigger user pool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ArcGIS Data Interoperability solving and how is that benefiting you?

Connecting project data from teams internally and externally who use different software.

Converting externally provided data, e.g. GML, WFS services, into readily usable GIS data.

Benefits have been

- Consolidation of various different data parts of projects into singular models which can be interrogated in one window

- Avoiding the need for external conversion services, such as FME software (FME tooling is built into Data Interoperability ext.)

- Greater inter-connectivity with partners and clients, by being able to convert GIS model data into formats that suit them Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
