I like how the audit model configuration in AppZen is very easy to do. Plus, we have access to some audit models which are very much needed in our area, especially the expense report verification and receipt verification model which works on the OCR logic. These features make it easy and convenient to use. The configuration doesn't require much technical knowledge and it's simple to modify settings. It really takes care of identifying unauthorized expenses and unauthorized merchants that we as humans might not recognize. The capability of reading each word on receipts to identify all line items is a huge plus. After the feedback in Appzen tool, we see system learns and adopts as per new changes. I find the customer support isn't great. The agents often only know the basics and don't understand the back-end workings. Plus, the response time is very late when it needs to be escalated to the engineering team. There are slight performance issues, especially with the integration with our Concur system. We often find that the ingestion of reports between Concur and AppZen doesn't happen every two hours as expected. Additionally, if any changes are made by other approvers after employee submission and before the report is ingested, they don't always get updated in the system. If we need to recall and resubmit, it takes more than four to five hours to sync with Concur, which is a hassle. Also, the initial setup wasn't straightforward as it was a new tool for us, so I'd rate its ease of setup as a six out of ten. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
