**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jessica S. | Commercial Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I use epic daily, all day long. I like epics ease of use. It is pretty intuitive. I like the Applied pay option a lot and the functionality is good. It was easy to learn for the most part.
Applied pay is great, super easy to create payment links for clients
I like that there is a built in spell checker.
certificates are easy to create and issue.
Customer support has been good, they have been responsive to our questions.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I feel like I am constantly duplicating activity descriptions to notes and then again to label the attachments.
Almost Every time I double click on on a client from the locate list it jumps and opens the wrong client
I hate that I have to click through several screen to be able to copy and paste a policy number.
I don't like that I have to endorse a policy to make corrections on things that may be input incorrectly
I dont like that I cant create a prefilled cancellation request without generating a cancellation. it would be nice if you could get any form to prefill with clients info.
I wish we could import applications to set up new clients or new policies.
it would be nice to be able to add certificate holders by coping them from prior certificates.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I didnt really have any problems

 ### 2. A Powerful Tool for Managing Insurance Accounts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christie W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic keeps everything in one place — client details, policies, and accounting. It’s great for staying organized and improving team communication. The reporting and automation features also save a lot of time once you get them set up.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It can be a bit clunky and slow to navigate. Some everyday functions take more steps than they should, and updates sometimes make familiar tasks harder to find.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic helps keep all client, policy, and document information in one system instead of juggling multiple tools or spreadsheets. It improves team collaboration, reduces duplicate work, and makes it easier to track renewals and service requests. Having everything connected in one platform saves time and keeps our processes consistent.

 ### 3. Applied EPIC: Streamlined Efficiency for Insurance Agencies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelvin S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied EPIC remains the clear industry leader, delivering the robust, comprehensive management backbone essential for enterprise-level agencies. The recent integration of Applied Pay is a game-changer for financial operations. This native feature truly helps sync all payments data together in one place, automating real-time records and eliminating manual entry. The result is a substantial gain in accounting efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The platform is sometimes hampered by frustrating downtime or stuck processes, and greater flexibility is needed in reporting due to limitations in available data fields.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic is the core system that ties together the operational work of Account Managers and Producers with the financial reporting. It ensures management receives the accurate data necessary for critical decision-making

 ### 4. Best AMS I have used to date

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liset V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I appreciate the frequent updates and the introduction of new technologies that help make our lives easier. The system is also very easy to use, which I really enjoy.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

At times, using the browser can be slow. Although this might be related to agency-specific issues rather than a problem with AMS itself, I never experienced this slowness when working on the desktop version. Still, on a positive note, transitioning to the browser has allowed us to benefit from more frequent updates and improved technology, which wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reporting feature is extremely useful for monitoring the team's productivity, and the addition of the renewals manager has truly changed the way we work.

 ### 5. Large Agency Epic User

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maddie W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

New updates to the configure screen make the system easier to use and read for admin users entering new employees. They have a great IT help desk set up specifically for my company and they respond quickly.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Employee Benefits users. The system can be less intuitive when trying to accomplish high level tasks. There are nice features but they tend to cost a large amount of money, which is understandable but some things need improvement for no cost to get the system up to date.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are starting to expand their tools within Employee Benefits. This is the only side of Epic we use and always are excited when we receive updates to the system.

 ### 6. EPIC is a 20 year leap backwards from TAM online.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott M. | President, CEO, administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Absolutely nothing, this product is a joke, it is antiquated in comparison to the TAM Online product. This move is clearly a money grab for training dollars or other savings.

This is not an improvement for your customers at all.

EPIC is a complete joke, everything is worse, less efficient.

Training was no existent, ever after being charged $14,000 for it.

If one more EPIC employee says we will get use to it I will lose my mind. I have used TAM for over 30 years. Fully understand what works and doesn't work for agency management. EPIC is decades behind TAM online.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Virtually everything, can't list any think we like. I will actively seek to tell every agency owner I know, a lot of them, to avoid EPIC at any and all cost

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EPIC has created nothing but problems, there are no benefits, zero, in this product

 ### 7. Employee Benefits is growing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily H. | Data and Reporting Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Can provide alot of data if utilized habitually.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

For employee benefits it is not fully applicable. Some functionality could talk to each other, like the calculate buttons throughout the policy level. Renewals manager not being used if you don't issue your policies. Some fields are custom text which can cause confusion or inability to proper report

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If we could get AI to help with Data entry for EB policies. That would be a game changer.

 ### 8. The Most EPIC Way to Do Business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is a powerful, cloud-based agency management system that streamlines all aspects of insurance operations in one platform. It boosts efficiency through workflow automation, centralized data, and seamless integration with third-party tools. The system is highly flexible, supporting both personal and commercial lines for agencies of all sizes. By driving digital transformation in a traditionally manual industry, Applied Epic is truly a game-changer.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

While Applied Epic offers robust features, it can be slow to adapt to new technology trends and user feedback. System updates and bug fixes often take longer than expected, which can disrupt workflows. The interface, while functional, can feel outdated and unintuitive compared to newer platforms. There's clear potential for improvement if the company prioritizes faster innovation and more responsive support.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic has transformed reporting and dashboards by offering real-time data insights and customizable analytics, allowing for more informed decision-making. This has significantly enhanced my ability to track performance metrics, identify trends, and respond proactively. The streamlined access to critical data has made reporting faster, more accurate, and directly impactful to my daily role.

 ### 9. Easy Email Integration, but Automation Feels extremely limited and Unintuitive

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

easy email integration, easily change things like security or other admin

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

its inability to automate in the proper way, the way you have to tell it to move policies to each stage- no intuition. reporting and admin is not suer friendly at all

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

took us off software that was becoming obsolete

**Official Response from Kelly Powell:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Applied Epic. We understand your concerns about the limitations of automation and the user-friendliness of reporting and admin features. We are committed to addressing these issues and making the platform more efficient for our users!

Analytics

 ### 11. Successful Agency Management with a Complex Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheila Z.

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I appreciate that Applied Epic is very good for agency management and the renewal process, especially for personal lines. The transfers are seamless, making it easy to keep up with renewals and planning.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The setup process for Applied Epic was quite difficult initially. This was primarily because there was a lack of knowledge about how to proceed, which made it a challenging experience. Another issue I encounter is the excessive number of clicks required to complete a workflow, which makes the software cumbersome to use.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Applied Epic enhances agency management and simplifies the renewal process, especially for personal lines, making it easy to keep up with renewals and planning.

 ### 12. Solid AMS with many capabilities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Epic can be easily customized for various workflows across various lines of business. Applied is a trustworthy, time tested company which is important when managing sensitive data.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Certain aspects of the system, especially when it comes to modifying established workflows, accounting, or structural elements, can be quite complex to handle. Additionally, some of the basic utilities lack the robustness I would expect, and development efforts seem to be directed more toward introducing new features rather than improving the existing ones.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Epic offers features that cover nearly all the essential needs of operating an insurance agency, including customer management, prospecting, claims, accounting, analytics, vendor management, carrier management, and producer and broker management. Applied also offers many add ons that provide additional capabilities. Having a single vendor for all these services is not only convenient but it means that changes to any of the systems will consider the related platforms.

 ### 13. Applied Epic is a robust agent management system with powerful integrations.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is a comprehensive agent management system that offers strong integration features. Its extensive configuration options equip administrators with the necessary tools to support every department within an agency. Applied understands that agencies rely on Epic as their central source of data, and numerous enhancements have been made to ensure that other Applied products integrate smoothly, ultimately improving service delivery.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Using Epic can occasionally feel challenging, primarily due to its extensive range of features. Training new employees, even those who already have experience in the insurance field, often takes considerable time.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a robust database that effectively supports all agency servicing activities, including managing attachments and processes.

 ### 14. Use Applied Epic!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angelina S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

What I appreciate most about Applied Epic is that all of our client information is centralized and accessible to every user. This means that no matter who is interacting with a client, anyone can answer questions confidently since everyone has real-time access to the same file. Additionally, Epic has automated our marketing emails, which has improved our ability to communicate with clients.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I have no complaints about Epic; there is nothing I dislike about it.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic has made it much easier for us to send automated marketing emails. Now, we can keep our clients informed about upcoming closures, share holiday greetings, and provide important policy updates efficiently.

 ### 15. No More Paper!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dawn S. | Personal Lines Manager, Training Manager & Customer Service Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Epic allows for not only storage for policies but the ability to communicate to other co-workers via activities. I also love that we can send an email from Epic and it attaches itself!

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The downside of using Epic is Reports are clunky. They're just not user friendly, even with the update. With the limited time I have during the day, I don't have any extra time to learn how to use them well.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic solves many things! Every client is right at your fingertips, every file is attached, no more searching through a file to find a piece of paper. No more paper getting lost or accidentally shredded! No more leaving messages for each other on sticky notes or voice mails. Epic just makes all aspects of agency management better!

 ### 16. Accounting Manager Onboarding and Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barbara W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I love Epic being a one stop shop platform integrating accounting, IT, Payroll (commissions), etc. In accounting, Epic is preferable due to the ease of reconciliations and data validation allowing for a streamlined month end close.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The benefits portal is not accounting user friendly and Agency Bloc seems to be the go to for the end user. Also, more resources should be put into the benefits portal making Epic a truly one stop AMS system.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic is solving the policy financing flow of data. Also, there has been a lot of emphasis on Applied Pay and streamlining the flow of that data.

 ### 17. Epic Experience with Applied Epic – A Game Changer for Insurance Professionals

It has significantly improved productivity and reduced manual effort.

Overall, I’d rate it 9.5/10 — a near-perfect solution for agencies aiming for operational excellence and digital transformation!

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Sometimes the system feels a bit slow when handling large data or multiple tabs simultaneously.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It streamlines insurance operations by centralizing client, policy, and accounting data in one integrated platform

 ### 18. Frequent Technical Issues and Poor Support Undermine Useful Features

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bessie J. | Office Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that I can send emails from the application and issue ID cards.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Too many times there are technical issues and they are not easily able to reach to get support. Epic Rater is also not the best due to not working about 25-30% of the time.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an agency, it keeps log of our clients we write but overall there are too many steps for something that should be simple.

 ### 19. Helpful for Account Management with Seamless Features

It helps with smooth transitions if someone else takes over my position by clearly showing where to find open activities. I find the features like changing ownership, the attachment feature with AI, and summaries very useful. Upgradable automatic attaching and filling are appealing for enhancing productivity.

The expertise and enthusiasm of their support team are unmatched. While some upgrades and enhancements may take longer to be rolled out, it’s nice to know they are constantly striving to elevate the product and make client service seamless.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Character limitations can limit use at times, and there are certain functions (like invoicing, and Evidences of Insurance) that can be less user friendly.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data management, making sure our applications, activities and attachments are staying organized.

 ### 23. So robust I have yet to find an end to it's utility or the increase to our company's efficiency.

I love Applied Epic and find it still good after years of use since 2015. The product benefits us with the flexibility to decide how we want to use it. I enjoy the Epic reports and Epic accounting, especially now with a smaller company where integrations have been better.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Epic allows us to decide how to use it, enhancing our decision-making autonomy. Integrations improved in a smaller company, making the software more functional.

 ### 25. Commercial Lines Trainer and Auditor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barbie A. | Commercial Lines Training and Audit Leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

There are SO many aspects of Epic that I love. If I have to pick just a couple it would be the E&O protection built in to the system, and as a trainer the data the system can provide to ensure seamless training and feedback for our staff and managers.

I dislike that the Service Summary Rows do not house the premium difference.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic’s browser-based interface has been a game-changer for our team. It’s fast, intuitive, and allows for seamless access across devices, which has improved our workflow and flexibility. Like, when you are adding a COI holder, and you search for the company, sometimes it won't hold your selection, and you have to do it all over again. Some emails will not drag and drop into Epic, which is a total pain if one of those emails is from one of your busiest customers.

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that Applied Epic is user friendly and set up in a way that is easy to to follow and easy to learn. I like the Applied Epic Add-Ins in Outlook and how Microsoft word integrates into Epic Templates. I also love the Attachment Preview in Epic Browser

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I don’t like that you can’t start phone calls and record and transcribe them from Epic. I also wish that if you start an email in Epic that it doesn’t automatically write back to Epic in that it automatically attaches the email without having to open the Attachment To screen and it would be amazing if epic copied the reply as a note or automatically summarized it as a note

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mapping from Indio Acord Apps to the Epic app

I work in accounting, and I find that Epic is excellent for managing workflow processes and enhancing efficiency. The reporting features are impressive, allowing you to customize reports to cover any aspect of the business you wish to analyze. There are many opportunities to gain valuable insights into your business with this tool.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

There are some great features available at an additional cost/contract that I wish were available as an inclusive value add.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing policy/client details that’s easily accessible. Financial data processing and commission tracking, as well as reporting options.

 ### 32. An agency management system for all seasons

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic offers a high level of configurability, making it adaptable to nearly any business line or process. The configuration tools allow you to design workflows and customize them to fit your specific business needs. Epic is highly scalable, and the ongoing development of new APIs is opening up fresh opportunities on a regular basis. Continuous investment in developing relevant features further enhances the value for users.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is not the most user-friendly system, but Applied continues to make steady improvements to the overall experience. Additionally, while the project to provide APIs is advancing, it has been ongoing for quite some time.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic serves as our agency management system for our extensive franchise network, acting as the foundation for our data and operational processes.

 ### 33. Epic has been great for our agency but sometimes enhancements are rolled out before its truly ready.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like how user friendly it is. I also appreciate that our feedback is taken into account when we are in need of additional enhancements.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Our tech team is often hesitant on adoption of new enhancements due to "bugs" that remain at time of rollout. I wish the bugs were worked through more so we weren't so excited at convention when rollouts are announced, then our tech team has us wait anyway.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Im very excited for the announcements in the keynote today of ABB, Bridge and additional dashboards.

 ### 34. Effortless Stability with Applied Epic

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa A.

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I love Epic for its ease of use and stability over the six to eight years I have used it. The integration of Applied Pay removes the stress of collecting money from insurance. Additionally, the setup process was very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

There was a mention of a process taking 'a little longer' which may imply some dissatisfaction with the speed or efficiency of a particular aspect of the service.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Applied Epic easy to use and stable, with Applied Pay reducing stress related to insurance money collection.

 ### 35. Initially Tough, but Ultimately User-Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca D. | Personal Lines Department Manager

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I find Applied Epic's step-by-step process easy to understand and it ensures every task is completed before moving on, which prevents errors. Working with Traney was incredibly helpful during setup, providing clear instructions. I also appreciate the integration of software like Ivan, which simplifies information downloads. The ease of using the platform makes it highly appealing.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I found it difficult to learn the new steps when setting up Applied Epic.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find the step-by-step process in Applied Epic ensures completeness and accuracy, preventing errors and missed steps.

 ### 36. Ease of finding items

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

That I can have all my attachments associated with the policy and activities

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Onboarding new employees. Workflows are very cumbersome

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pr/br commissions. To be able to pull reports and run the payables with success

 ### 37. IT Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Lots of functionality, built in E&O. From an IT helpdesk its very easy to trace who did what in EPIC.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Lots of clicks to do simple tasks - one such example is being able to copy and paste a policy number - you have to click deep into the pol line to do this - this one simple fix to be able to copy a pol number right from the pol screen would save hundreds of hours over the course of a year for every single Applied user across the world!

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We came from TAM, EPIC is much more robust in all areas of the product allowing us to automate some tasks that were not available to us in TAM

 ### 38. New Migration Client

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rae A. | Operations and IT Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I love all features and capabilities that EPIC has. We just went live with them Monday so we are really new with them. Everyone has been so helpful in getting set up and answering questions. I felt very supported during this how migration process.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

So my biggest issue at this point is the order of items in the migration process. I think Downloads, Accounting and Domain info should be touched on sooner in the process incase the agency needs to make corrections or changes.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Epic has allowed us to be on a browser based program instead of a remote desktop and it has alot more capabilities in servicing our clients in ways that works for them.

 ### 39. Director of Account Managers

I appreciate that Applied is always attentive to feedback and works to enhance the software, helping to advance our industry. While the process hasn't always been smooth, I feel they have acknowledged these challenges and made significant progress.

Managing it is challenging. It really requires more than just one person to keep up with the configuration, or perhaps even a dedicated department.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have helped me organize my client data more effectively, which in turn makes it easier for me to understand my marketing team.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I wish the the UI was more modern looking and navigation was a bit more intuitive.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic is one of the few AMS platforms that support the Employee Benefits vertical of our agency. We have been able to digitize our service processes in this vertical due to Applied Epic’s capabilities.

A problem it is causing is entering so much information can take time and one way it is benefiting my agency is that everything is in the clients account once it’s created.

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Being able to utilize Epic to cross communicate with my Service Team and Sales Team has been paramount for our agency.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

At times it can be tedious with reporting, it would be nice to just be able to create reports from scratch, and that may be an unknown to myself as a new user.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The email bridge is going to be amazing. I am also excited about Epic Max—specifically the search function. This will be a great tool for my service team.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

EPIC doesn’t audit data quality as well as we would like.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EPIC provides many options for configuring our processes and provides good access for our users to manage their customer accounts. Our users have gone from having desks covered in paper to clear desks and more leisure time.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

There is a very steep price that comes with using the best agency system. There are also a lot of updates that occur which can be difficult to keep our staff trained properly.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to have an agency wide consistent workflow. As well as measure where and what needs to be improved.

 ### 46. Great place for networking and joint problems solving of common insurance issues

There’s so much too epic. It takes a while to figure out exactly how you want to use it or need to use it.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration of AI with automatic payments, including payment links has been a great way to speed up collection of monies and increase efficiencies and processing

 ### 47. Epic review 2025

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like the ease of finding multiple accounts for the one client. How you can add activities and tasks and they auto save. I like the marketing capabilities. I like how Indio provides access to supplemental apps and the ease of adding a new one. The automation of Indio is great. I like CSR 24 Certificates for ease of adding forms and not having to input Cert info wording every time you do a cert. I like CSR 24 for client access.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Configuration is the biggest downfall. Applied does not provide enough training on how to configure your Epic. Training hours are provided but basically you have to try and fail before you find out what you need training on. Very pour at stating how to configure your Epic. When transferring over communication on this topic was terrible. Should have configurations set up as a sample for Small, Medium, Large, single location, multi-location agencies as a guide. If they have this they never mention. Should have classes at their convention geared to agencies that have transitioned after 1yr, 2yr, 3yr. Agents sell insurance, they do not know all the capabilities of Epic and how it can help them. Classes can go from basic to more advanced. Even such items as how to configure sending out birthday emails. Not every agency has an IT/Marketing/Tech dept that knows how to do things. Classes can also be geared toward Account Managers on tips of what can make their processing easier.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication with clients through Marketing automation, CSR 24 and Indio

 ### 48. CSR

Enhanced dashboards and data visualization: Epic Dashboards provide insightful visualizations of agency data, allowing users to better understand business trends, employee workload, and carrier relationships. These dashboards can be customized to specific user roles and offer direct links to client accounts for quick action.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

A consistent design system and fewer clicks can make navigation easier and more intuitive for users

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software is very comprehensive and will do virtually anything you need to do for your agency except payroll

 ### 49. Outstanding Product - Everything we needed and more!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Debbie D. | Director of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is user-friendly and has all the features we need in an Agency Management System. Set up is very flexible and can be done according to the specific needs of the organization, department, and/or individual. The training library is huge. Those videos are very helpful both for new and existing users and take a lot of the education burden off existing personnel. Context-sensitive help is comprehensive and easy to follow. Activities allow us to add tasks, which are very helpful with new employees and for those not as familiar with insurance. There are multiple ways to file and locate documents, which allows us to set things up in a way that works best for us. Reports are outstanding and although there's a learning curve they provide us with all the information we need, both for service teams and management. Applied Pay is one of our favorite features - we can include a link for electronic payment on our invoices and clients can easily submit payment to us. Our service team uses Epic all day every day and it is essential in helping us provide outstanding customer service to our clients.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Because Epic is so rich in features the initial learning curve can be daunting - however, the Applied team(s) assisting with setup are excellent in determining the entity's needs and getting things done in a way that works for each organization.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of documenting all activity on client accounts and later being able to retrieve that information. This enables us to provide outstanding client service.

 ### 50. Excellent workflow

I’ve worked on both side of insurance. The client management and accounting. Applied Epic has done a great job making the workflow seamless between both sides. It helps complete work ins timely manner and accurately. I appreciate the integration of applied pay and now the option to finance right when making payment.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It can be frustrating when actions are locked. While it makes sense, that is frustrating!

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied pay and financing to make payment more seamless and to the correct account
