## Applied Epic Reviews
  ### 1. Centralized Client Data

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon R. | Agency Resource Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I find Applied Epic tremendously useful as a central hub for all client and policy data, effectively building a single unified client record. I appreciate its capability to eliminate reliance on paper documents by keeping a digital copy of all activities, which streamlines our operations. I like that Applied Epic truly functions as a one-stop shop for insurance agencies, offering an extensive product lineup under one roof. I also value that it is always adding or updating features, often based on user feedback, which helps keep the platform up-to-date and responsive to our needs.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Some updates seem to be pushed out in haste before they are fully vetted and ready for agent use. Sometimes, it feels as though we are the unwitting beta testers of new products.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic as a central hub, centralizing client and policy data, creating a unified client record, and reducing reliance on paper documents.

  ### 2. My Epic journey

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louise C. | Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I still love that we don't need a separate application for storing files. I also like that you can view other employee's activities if you are asked to help out, no extra permissions needed. It's easy for management to update / add codes as needed and if you need help, Epic is very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I wish they would quit changing things, and by that, I mean moving settings around. I hate getting used to finding a setting in one place, then they move it and I have to get used to it all over again. Also, when management does change / add / delete a code, I wish we would get a notice of what has been changed, because sometimes management forgets to tell us and we find out when we can't find the old code!

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's nice to email a client from Epic and have that email automatically documented in an activity. This feature is a time saver and makes better use of my time rather than attaching an email from my Outlook.
The search-by-code feature is a time saver when looking for specific activities you don't want to miss. I also like the sorting feature. I use this when I am searching for certian activities that are more time sensitive, like an activity about a payment.

  ### 3. Frustrating User Experience with Applied Epic - MODERNIZED SCREENS

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I enjoy the format and ease of access of the Home page in Applied Epic. But if that will be changing soon to the new design format, then this is no longer accurate.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The newly “modernized” screen designs are terrible and have clearly not been tested well. They have an extreme lag that slows down work productivity. They also have glitches that cause workflows to not work properly, such as Remarks not saving. These things need to be tested extensively before rolling out changes. The newly designed screens are a major downgrade.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic's updated screen designs have a lag, slowing productivity and causing glitches that disrupt workflows.

**Official Response from Kelly Powell:**

> Thank you for sharing your concerns about the modernized screens in Applied Epic. We are aware of the issues you've described and are actively working to resolve them. Your feedback helps us identify areas for improvement!

  ### 4. Applied Epic is Agency Management at its best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kalyn M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The way the technology continues to evolve is truly impressive. Their investment in AI has elevated the platform to a whole new level. We can now integrate nearly all of our Office 365 applications and Adobe tools without any issues. Epic has significantly reduced the amount of routine work for our account managers, enabling us to serve our clients more quickly and with greater insight. I couldn't imagine a better system—one that makes adapting to change feel both natural and effortless. We also receive great customer support. Each of the features and new additions come with great success teams that make implementation less scary.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

While the price may seem a bit intimidating at first, the amount of time saved in other aspects really makes it worthwhile.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can easily view all of our clients' accounts on a single screen. As an independent agency, our clients may have policies with multiple carriers, but we can access everything through just one account. The platform is addressing issues I wasn't even aware of before. With the new Epic Bridge, Epic and Outlook are now closely integrated, so there's no need to constantly switch between systems to handle daily documentation. The new Applied Book Builder will also help us save hours by eliminating manual data entry.

  ### 5. Applied Epic has made my job easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica B. | Account Manager Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic has made our workflows more efficient and they continually are improving it to add more features to help with efficiency. We were on Applied TAM before so I've only ever used Applied products but there are functions that would take me an hour plus in TAM that I can get done in 20-30 minutes in Epic. I also like how customizable it is with setting up which system events trigger activities and which do not.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Some of the steps aren't consistent. For example: sumbitting a change request on a package policy requires that you highlight each line you don't want to submit and click a radio button that changes it to "not submitted," yet in Update Stage to Submitted, you can just uncheck boxes on the lines you don't want to submit and finish out.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic has provided solutions for the commercial lines renewal process with the implementation of Indio. I can get supplements back from customers in minutes where it used to take weeks at times befoe. The Outlook Add In makes it so much easier to email Epic attachments to a customer and attach your emails into Epic. Epic also makes it easy to track everything that happens on an account and find the data.

  ### 6. Hands down best AMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Whitney O. | Vice president, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is, in my opinion, one of the best insurance management systems available today. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making day-to-day tasks smoother and more efficient for both staff and customer service teams.

One of the standout features is the excellent support provided. The staff and customer service representatives are always responsive, helpful, and quick to troubleshoot any technical issues that arise. It's clear that there's a dedicated team continuously working behind the scenes to improve the system, consistently incorporating the latest and most effective technology and they actually understand our industry.

Overall, Applied Epic delivers a top-tier experience and sets a high standard in insurance management systems!

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Not necessarily a dislike - would love to see the ability to upload an excel in the utility area to allow users to more quickly run workload reassignments.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are so many positive aspects that it's hard to list them all. Epic truly understands the industry and consistently develops solutions that help streamline processes and procedures, making everything more efficient.

  ### 7. Applied Epic helped us create consistency in our work flows with ability to audit our staff.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deb W. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I love the accounting features including the default/recurring entries. The Serivce Summary Rows also tell a story of the poilicy from effective to expiration date which saves so much time vs looking at activiites to try and figure out what is going on with the policy. The filter and search features in attachments is also a huge time saver. SMS texting integration has been huge for us and being able to store the messages between our staff and the client for E&O protection. Real time works great with most all of our companies. I have automated alot of our processes that used to be done manually, for example Ivans download and expiration reports. The renewal manager has been very helpful to our commercial lines staff when marketing accounts to various brokers and companies. Dashboards make it very easy to plan your day and see exactly how the staffs workload is for a particular period of time. The built in sales management using opportunites has allowed us to track a quote from start to the sale. This gives a great look at where our new business is coming from and why we are not

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It would also be great if you could create folders in reports to organize your reports.

**Recommendations to others considering Applied Epic:**

Clean up your database before you try to convert to EPIC.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Commission import is extremely easy and has saved us many man hours for the companies that do not download. The recurring and default entries have also been a huge time saver for accounting. We are now able to get a true retention on our book of business and are able to see what our book was at any period of time.

  ### 8. Growth supportive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura R. | Agency Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Epic has helped our agency grow in that the systems in place are very replicable across locations and easy to train. new inexperienced ataff are onboarded much more quickly than ever before. Reporting functions are phenomenal, and applied support is always available when we have questions. I also appreciate the integrations with other products, like raters, CRMs, phone systems and other similar InsureTech products. Epic's marketing submissions have been such a help in organizing our commercial and agriculture accounts, making it simple to organize and track individual carriers or LOBs while also reducing duplicate entry.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

My #1 gripe is the inability to search notes on Activities. You can only search the title of the activity.
Also - It is a very “clicky” system, and some process feel inefficient for those with experience. There are a lot of steps to perform simple changes. It can feel frustrating and stifling for those wanting to just "get it done", resulting in incomplete transactions within Epic. This is specific to our Producers who are not detail oriented people like our Servicers, but still leads to incomplete or missing data.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast onboarding and easy to find analytics help us to train new and coach existing staff, identifying errors and incorrect procedures quickly and allowing us to address them before they get out of control or habitual.

  ### 9. Clean Looking and Easy to Follow AMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacqueline B. | Software Technology Trainer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

It's easy to keep track of renewals using the "Renewals Manager". If the service summary rows are used correctly, you can see what's occurred with the account. Accessing documents for a particular policy or in a specific folder is easy. Email templates within Epic save a ton of time by not having to retype the same verbiage or having to generate a form letter to copy the verbiage and paste into an email. Also having the email automatically attached in Epic is a time saver.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

You can't use the same activity code for dragging and dropping, system generated and F9. The system could be maintained cleaner and easier if you could assign the same activity code regardless of how you're attaching a document.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They aren't resolving anything for me at the moment however, the chat support comes in handy.

  ### 10. Applied Epic Review: Benefits, and Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hailey L. | Agent/Broker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic proves to be quite useful for generating certificates, especially once you have set up the necessary templates and holders, making the process efficient and fast. The logging and notes system on the platform is also convenient, allowing for easy recording of updates and task-related details. The extra space provided is particularly beneficial when managing more complex accounts.
Customer Support is generally fast -- someone is always there to follow up on the case

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

When it comes to combining invoices, the process involves several steps and lacks a straightforward "merge" feature, which makes it quite time-consuming, especially if you need to manage a large number of transactions. I use this frequently, so any downtime or slow performance has an immediate effect on my productivity, particularly when I need to open attachments. Additionally, there isn't a dedicated deadline popup for following up on cancellations—reminders are only visible on the home page.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-Clear visibility into what has been done and by whom
-Easier compliance and documentation

  ### 11. Friendly, Easy-to-Learn Software with At-a-Glance Screens

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is a very friendly and easy software to use and learn. I love the screens that you can look at and see your information all at a glance for policies. I also like that each area you are in is its own tab in the web based version.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The one thing I would like is if for the master statement if you have access to them that the number would be a link that you can click to take to the data in the GL area instead of having to look for the master statement and then go to the GL area and type in the MS number.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me look for and track revenue

**Official Response from Kelly Powell:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Applied Epic is helping you track revenue efficiently! We've noted your feedback about the master statement link and will explore ways to enhance the user experience.

  ### 12. Staying Ahead of AI Trends with Fast, Responsive Support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like that they are keeping up to date on AI trends in the market. I also think their support teams are very responsive and quick to take action.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I believe the only downside is the limited integrations.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving data management and storage. It also is making us more effecient when it comes to collecting data and being able to revert back to it.

  ### 13. Not ready for Medicare

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grace W. | Account Executive/Office Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

It has some good tools for P&C insurance, and I do like the continuing efforts to make it smarter and easier to use, especially integration of AI enhancements.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I work primarily with health and Medicare policies, and I need real solutions, not workarounds in a system that is built by and for people who work in P&C and seem to think health refers solely to employee benefits, with little to no understanding of the individual health market or Medicare.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Epic is helping to organize the larger agency we just merged with, and enforce proper documentation, but my office has not yet found it to be beneficial since we are focused on health and Medicare clients. However, we almost certainly will benefit from the Benefits module, especially the proposal generation.

  ### 14. Easy to use always releasing updates with next generation technology

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is always advancing in Technology and with AI becoming a large part of day to day processes Applied Epic is continually added in New features with AI and other new features updates that benefit the end users.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

We are on browser now and and need to look at some browser settings but seems slower loading screens than think client and the connection suite doesn't always update properly. Updates from Microsoft break the Applied Epic Add-in for Outlook and word.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New summarize AI feature has been beneficial to our Agency saving time when attaching emails to activities and not having to type the information. Applied Epic will also be launching a new Addin for Outlook that has Epic integrated to make it even easier to find accounts and attaching.

  ### 15. Simplify Redundant Tasks to Once & Done -Simplify Renewal Marketing

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathryn T. | Commercial Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Pay provides a better way for clients to remit in a timely fashion

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Redundant tasks in all workflows. Need a section in Marketing for New - vs- Renewal. The tasks are completely different.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier accounting and reconciliation.

  ### 16. User Friendly, Seamless Integration, Sometimes Glitchy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like the ease of use and that it can be integrated with other programs.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I don't like how much it glitches and we either have to close it down and restart OR we have to wait for patches before we can continue working.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing colleagues from across the organization to access similar resources and work on accounts more efficiently.

**Official Response from Kelly Powell:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Applied Epic's ease of use and integration capabilities. We understand the frustration caused by the glitches and patches, and we are actively addressing these issues to provide a smoother user experience.

  ### 17. Effective, Easy-to-Learn Agency Management System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor R. | VP, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

An effective and efficient agency management system that’s straightforward to learn and not overly complicated.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The cost of this program is approaching $100,000 a year for my small business.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied is the leader in agency management systems.

**Official Response from Kelly Powell:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Applied Epic effective and easy to learn!

  ### 18. Efficient Client Management, Minor Usability Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren W. | Client Service Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I find the online tutorials very helpful, particularly those on workflows, adding clients, and commissions, making the setup easy. Workflows ensure nothing is missed during implementation and renewal processes. The exceptional data management enhances client communication and data analysis for renewals. I value policy tracking for extracting data for cost comparisons and revenue analysis for segmenting clients effectively. Applied Epic's integration capabilities, including email, document generation, and open enrollment materials, significantly boost day-to-day efficiency. The software's versatility in handling various aspects of the insurance business is outstanding.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I find the left side menus in the policies a little confusing when adding lines of coverage. I feel the hierarchy could be shown as a static flow chart rather than it flipping back and forth from service to policy flow charts.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic for effective workflow management and exceptional data tracking, enhancing client service by ensuring nothing is forgotten. Policy tracking aids cost comparisons, and revenue analysis segments clients accurately, improving service quality.

  ### 19. Have been a fan of Epic - but now not sure sure about the browser version.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lori M. | VP Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Only the browser application is receiving updates. There seem to be good updates. Still new to browser

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I HATE printing in the browser. Too many clicks. Also the functionality of document writer has greatly changed in the browser. The accounting module is STILL missing some basic functionality. I talk to them at conference every year, but things never seem to change. The cost of integrating products that are aligned with Epic are astronomical!

**Recommendations to others considering Applied Epic:**

Do your homework. Hire an independent consultant to help you through the migration process. It's definitely worth the money. Get key employees on board and part of the migration process from the beginning. Require employees to complete all training and do all data clean up. Make sure you allow yourself enough time from start to finish; you will be sorry if you don't.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to monitor areas of the business better than ever. We can identify potential E&O/compliance issues and address them immediately. Things that were a manual process are now automated. Since Epic is activity driven and most functions automatically add an activity, documentation of workflow and processes is easy.

  ### 20. Streamlined Experience Despite Migration Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anita K.

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I appreciate the AI capabilities available in Applied Epic because they have significantly streamlined our processes. Additionally, the built-in features for summarizing emails and making attachments are excellent, enhancing our workflow efficiency. I also value the helpful and prompt support from our coordinator and team member, Candice, who have been instrumental in resolving issues promptly.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I faced significant challenges during the migration to Applied Epic. Our migration did not go very well due to bad advice from our coordinator. Additionally, there are certain features that were available in Applied TAM but are not in Applied Epic. For example, the custom views on screens in Epic do not allow for fields that we previously filtered for in TAM. Specifically, I find it frustrating not being able to see the assigned service role person on the activity screen, which was possible in TAM.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Applied Epic's AI capabilities streamline our processes, and the team is prompt in resolving issues, benefiting us. However, some features available in TAM are missing, like custom view filters and activity screen details, which hinders our work efficiency.

  ### 21. EPIC is my go to system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

What I like best about Applied Epic is that it keeps everything in one place. It helps our team stay organized and gives us a clear picture of what’s happening across the agency—whether it’s client activity, policy details, or accounting. It’s not perfect, but it’s reliable, and once you understand how to make it work for your processes, it really does make day-to-day operations smoother.

The reporting tools and workflows have been especially helpful for keeping everyone on the same page and making sure tasks don’t fall through the cracks. Overall, it’s a solid system that does what it’s meant to do and continues to improve over time.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

There is not much to dislike. The only complaint I would have is the need to continually add products on as they become available instead of being automatically added as a service for those on the highest subscription

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic helps us keep everything in one place—from client data and policy details to accounting and renewals. Before, a lot of our processes lived in different systems or spreadsheets, which made it easy for things to get missed. Now, it’s much easier to track activities, automate tasks, and see what’s happening across the agency in real time. It’s not a flashy system, but it’s dependable, and that consistency has made a real difference in how we operate day to day.

  ### 22. Change we resisted but has been the best decision for our agencies!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Epic offers a centralized platform for managing all client, policy, and claims information, making it simple to keep everything from certificates and renewals to billing organized under a single client record. This setup helps minimize duplication and streamlines access to important data.

The system’s customizable workflows are particularly effective for standardizing agency processes such as renewals, policy checks, and follow-ups. These workflows help ensure that no tasks are overlooked and provide management with tools to monitor productivity.

Epic’s built-in accounting capabilities are comprehensive, allowing users to manage direct bill, agency bill, commissions, and trust accounting all within the same platform, eliminating the need to switch between different systems.

The reporting and analytics features in Epic deliver valuable insights into production, retention, and revenue trends. Dashboards can be customized for different roles, including producers, CSRs, and managers, to provide relevant information at a glance.

Integration is another strong point for Epic. It works seamlessly with Applied CSR24, Applied Mobile, Ivans, and a variety of third-party tools such as Salesforce, DocuSign, and ePayPolicy, making its ecosystem a significant advantage.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The management system has an extremely steep learning curve. It took us an entire year before we finally felt comfortable using it.

While workflows are customizable, doing so can be complex and may require admin-level knowledge or Applied support. Some small tweaks can be time-consuming.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting has been extremely important for us, particularly because we are a bank-owned agency. We have configured Sonny report to automatically deliver reports on a weekly basis. Information that once took us days to compile can now be generated in just seconds.

  ### 23. Easy to use, great analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I like the options for reporting, you can add fields as needed and export in a pdf or Excel document. I love that each report can be fully customized to meet the needs. We use Applied Analytics as well, which gives a very useful snapshot of real time data.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The Accounting function is ok, but could be more robust. It sometimes feels as if Accounting functions were more of an afterthought - only included because it had to be. I love being able to save default transactions which makes using the software and recording recurring disbursements extremely quick and easy. The reports are fantastic, but editing the layout is difficult if you aren't really tech savvy.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to text with clients, the client self-serve portal, and certificates. It helps our agency be more productive since client's can log in to the portal to pull and/or view their own certificates.

  ### 24. User Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corin S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

We went through an acquisition and the acquiring company was not using Applied Epic. I’ve been using it since 2017 and Applied Epic has been so user friendly. It is so easy to use and straight forward so I gave my honest feedback to a few of my new team member to reassure them that they would come to enjoy it like I have.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I believe there is a lot more potential for us to tap into with Applied Epic. Having recently been promoted to a manager role, I've been considering different strategies to help us work more efficiently rather than just putting in more effort. After attending Applied Net25, I have plenty of ideas and insights to share with the Executive Committee.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a centralized location to store all my accounts is very convenient. We have recently started using Indio and are generating Proposals along with docs like check return requests for accounting.

  ### 25. Applied EPIC - A Game Changer for Independent Insurance Agencies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

EPIC is a one-stop shop for our agency. It stores our prospect and insured client information, our vendors, our companies, and our employee information. The integration with third-party companies is great and we love the other Applied products such as Indio, CSR24, Analytics, etc.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

We have a unique niche in the horse world insuring animal mortality. It would be nice if EPIC played "nicer" with custom applications & forms needed for this type of business as well as other unique commercial products like Cyber, D&O, Professional, etc. We have created our own custom forms to capture the data important to our agency but it cannot integrate with Indio or other third-party programs at this time.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EPIC is working hard on the browser version which will bring API and the ability to integrate with more third-party programs. As an agency that focuses on efficiency and technology, this will be a game changer for us.

  ### 26. Applied Epic efficiency and flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diane C. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

The Applied Epic platform enables me to work both quickly and efficiently as a Commercial Lines Account Manager. Our agency is currently working to make use of features that we did not take advantage of during our initial phase of implementing Applied Epic. I am genuinely impressed by the system’s flexibility.

The support provided by Epic is outstanding. Being able to speak directly with a live representative who stays with you until your issue is resolved is an invaluable resource for a busy agency.

I would also like to mention CSR24, another Applied product that offers training for new employees. When I transitioned from a career in Health Insurance to Property and Casualty insurance, I completed CSR24 and was able to pass my state license exam in less than four months.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I can’t think of any downsides, there has been a solution to any challenge that I have encountered.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Epic solves efficiency and tracking issues, not only saving valuable time and resources, but allowing me to provide professional customer service at a higher level.

  ### 27. Large Agency EB Epic User

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aubrie E. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Epic is a mostly intuitive system that can encompass a lot of information and be very useful for large agencies. The support staff is very efficient and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

There is room for development in the Employee Benefits area as a lot of the stuff is geared to P&C and other things. We have been shown some pilots for things such as ABD and the benefits overview tab and provided feedback on what our teams would need to be able to use those things. Such as being able to edit a file with quotes, we would want our logo and certain disclaimers and the ability to edit them in general. We also find it would be helpful to see who did what in the system at what time.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Employee Benefits piece is being expanded and approved upon. Our agency only uses epic for EB so we look forward to further updates

  ### 28. Epic needs improvement to be a 5 star product

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica P. | Senior Account Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Epic has a lot of functionality in terms of configurations and pulling data into reports.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Epic is not user friendly and involves a lot of added clicks to get to frequently used fields within an account. It can be difficult to locate information if you aren't familiar with the way Epic works and learning the system can take users years to get comfortable.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Epic is slow to make improvements that make my day-to-day use of the product easier; however, they are working on improving the Master & Carrier Marketing section of the platform (early stages) which I believe will save time once implemented. The implementation of the AI tool that reads and summarizes email content when logging activities is a huge improvement (unfortunately my agency's legal team has not yet approved the functionality to be turned on yet).

  ### 29. One of the best support centers and platforms available.....with a cost.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason R. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Epic has been a groundbreaking platform. While all software has positives and negatives to it, Applied has always been engaged and working to improve the core platform and not just bolt on extras to try and make it better.

The billing in Epic is versatile and makes the reconciliation process a breeze both from carriers and with the bank.

Another feature that is amazing is setting up scheduled client communication and interactions.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I understand that innovation and development cost money, however the pricing for Epic and Applied's other software is always at a meteoric climb at times. Outside of rents and labor costs, licensing is one of our next highest expenses.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are moving to a digital platform that allows a centralized repository for all client interactions and data. The consolidation is a huge impact, especially for our employee benefits department.

  ### 30. Valuable System with Potential for Employee Benefits

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura P.

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I appreciate how Applied Epic centralizes all of our benefits information, combining policy, commission, and servicing details conveniently in one place. This integration allows us to streamline our operations across P&C and personal lines, keeping all client information within a unified system. The ability to attach documents and emails directly to policies and generate detailed reports by servicing person or producer enhances our workflow efficiency greatly.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

{"I feel that the benefit module in particular within Applied Epic is really lacking and it really felt like it was a PNC agent management system rather than a benefits management system.","I am unable to drag and drop attachments out of Epic into an email or into another document."}

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Applied Epic centralizes client benefits, policies, commissions, and servicing data, streamlining access and improving convenience for all client-related information within a single system.

  ### 31. Overall Great System - Advocate for Efficiency Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle D. | Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Most of the processes are streamlined while still being able to track/evaluate the process from a management standpoint. Helps keep workflows structured.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I can't use the same activity code across multiple events. The end user usually doesn't care how the document is received to get the activity into EPIC; users want standard activity codes. For example, eDocs received to use a manual activity code, but when manually attaching, it's more efficient to drag and drop, so you have to sacrifice efficiency for consistency or vice versa.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are solving the need to maintain client information all in one place in an organized fashion. We can keep our personal, commercial and benefits all in the same system while applying revenue to them. Then we can use analytics or reports to build pictures for improving how we meet customer needs.

  ### 32. Epic is a comprehensive tool to manage P&C and benefits for our agency.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karla M. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Improvements are rapidly released, all of our insurance business (P&C and benefits) can be tracked in Epic, it integrates well with other Applied software, and Customer Support is easily accessed and very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The benefits portion is still new, so there's room for improvement there. Reports for different areas can't be combined (for example criteria for Contacts, Clients, and Activities can't be combined in a single report), and there are some frequently used areas of the client accounts that require a lot of clicks to navigate.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication with clients. We can use Epic and other ancillary products (CSR24 and Applied Marketing Automation) to communicate with clients and have it all recorded in the client account. The renewal process for commercial lines using renewals manager smoothly tracks the renewal process an eliminates extra work.

  ### 33. A Strong Platform with Limitations for Employee Benefits

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brie S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic offers excellent structure, centralized workflows, and detailed reporting. It’s reliable and well-suited for property and casualty operations, making it easier to maintain consistency and visibility across teams.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Epic isn’t inherently built for Employee Benefits. Many workflows and data fields are P&C-focused, so EB teams often need to create workarounds or customize templates to meet their needs.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic helps centralize client, policy, and activity information in one system, reducing duplication and improving visibility across teams. It standardizes workflows, streamlines document management, and provides strong reporting tools for tracking performance and compliance.

Having everything in one place improves efficiency, consistency, and communication between departments. It also makes it easier to monitor tasks, track renewals, and maintain a clear audit trail — all of which support better client service and operational accountability.

  ### 34. Chief financial Officer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raquel K.

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I love Applied Epic for its transformative impact on our work processes, especially after mastering it. The software has been a game-changer in streamlining our accounting processes, providing essential record reports, and enhancing efficiency by keeping all accounting functions within one system. I find the general ledger and the report customization capabilities to be particularly valuable. The ability to handle billing and accounting reports from the same software and the support provided adds significant value to our operations. Being part of the beta program reflects our satisfaction and commitment to the software.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Sometimes we experience lag

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Applied Epic streamlines our accounting process, making it smoother and providing comprehensive reporting. It centralizes all accounting functions into one system, offering useful customization features for reports, which enhances our operational efficiency.

  ### 35. Highly Customizable with Impressive Advancements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer O.

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I value Applied Epic for its customizability, allowing each department to tailor it to their specific needs. It effectively assists with billing and managing transaction histories, which enhances our capabilities in handling agency bills and direct bill policies. Over time, I've become more familiar with its functionalities, and it seems to learn and grow with us, which is impressive.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I found the setup process of Applied Epic problematic based on feedback from colleagues. They described the setup experience as a disaster, implying significant challenges and disruptions at the initial implementation stage.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Applied Epic to streamline billing and transaction histories, enhancing efficiency in handling both agency and direct bill policies. Its customizability allows each department to tailor the system to its specific needs, improving overall organizational workflow.

  ### 36. Efficient Workflow with Long-Term Value

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason K.

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I appreciate the significant improvements in efficiency and consistency across all areas of our business, thanks to Applied Epic. The continued rapid enhancements to the product are impressive, and the ability to use reporting tools like Power BI gives us clear insights into our agency. The partnership with Applied Epic is valuable because they listen to and welcome our feedback, whether positive or negative.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I find that the speed of AI services, such as policy checking and proposal generation, is slower than desired. Given that many third-party services allegedly offer these capabilities, enhancing the speed of AI features could significantly boost efficiency in our agency.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find the product makes us much more efficient and consistent across all areas of our business.

  ### 37. Absolutely the right decision.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

We combined a P&C and EB agency, each previously using separate systems, into a single platform. After conducting an extensive search for AMS options that could also integrate with our parent company's CRM, Salesforce, we chose Epic. The efficiencies and workflows provided by Epic are truly transforming our business operations, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. The upcoming tools we've seen previews of promise to make our processes even more efficient in the future.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The process to build the system is very involved. We did all the training and I still feel like we could have used more time to setup, but some things need to wait until the system is live.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting accurate, repeatable and efficient results for customers.

  ### 38. Applied Epic - Powerful Business Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica M. | Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Epic is a potent business management tool. Allows you to track and manage all aspects of your business, from clients to business insights, to accounting, all in one easy-to-use software.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The downside of any Agency Management System is you get what you put in. There is no real downside to the software, just possibly the input from the users.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Epic solves the problem of having multiple systems to organize your business. It encompasses your data management and your accounting all in one software.

  ### 39. Revolutionized Customer Communication with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick M.

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I love how Applied Epic solves communication issues with customers and streamlines information sharing with carriers. The submissions and marketing portal are outstanding, making my new business submissions smoother. The seamless integration for daily account servicing is amazing. I value the innovation and regular updates that improve efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I dislike the number of clicks required to complete certain tasks in Applied Epic. Some tasks feel 'clicky,' meaning I have to click multiple times to complete a simple task, which is inefficient.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Applied Epic solves communication issues with customers, streamlining information sharing with customers and carriers. Its submissions and marketing portal enhance my new business submissions. The product consistently improves with innovative updates, making tasks easier and more efficient.

  ### 40. Applied Systems Epic 2025 Cloud - An Agency Management System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald D. | Large Account Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

There is honestly no one thing that I think is the "best". EPIC a really large and powerful tool. SO Large in fact that is almost impossible for any one to know it all. There are some parts that you may only use every now and again. For Example, Creating reports. You may use reports all the time, but creating one from scratch may only be needed to be done once every 6 months or even longer. EPIC Does so much. But if I had to say, one of the best is its integration with other systems for policy info and billing. Also, filling in ACORDs, and sending out renewal submission automatically on a specific date to multiple carriers at the same time.
It is difficult to say that "one" particular part or other is a great advantage. The whole system is very very well designed and helpful in day to day situations

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I thought the initial learning curve was a little long when we got this in 2016 (But that could be user (my) limitations.)
I also do not like that the downloads (Property for example, sometimes wipe out the majority of the "rating " COPE Information. This has been an ongoing issue. Mainly because PROPERTY policies DO NOT have property COPE info on them. That is entered into the rating and that doesn't come with a "policy" to get entered into the system.
You can not "export" a Statement of values (Unless you also purchase Indio, which we do have and is an EXCELLENT Extension for EPIC) from the property section. B, BPP, BI values can not be exported, unless you also have Indio.
EPIC does not update the SOV screens in EPIC when the annual values are Increased.
You have to Delete and reload the updated Values in.
The reports section leaves a lot to be desired for a company that doesn't use it a lot. Applied Systems VISION had this down pat. In VISION, you simply had to select the Info you wanted in the report, and then VISION set up the report formatting and built the report. In EPIC, the report must be created and literally manually place on the report layout where needed.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing to say here

  ### 41. Epic is revolutionizing our agency and bringing us into the future of insurance.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hilary S. | Technical Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Epic is made to be very precise. It catches errors before they become an issue for insureds. Its very thorough. If used correctly, it saves time and money. We are becoming a better agency with the use of Applied Epic. It makes managing an agency as a whole efficient and effective. It has numerous features designed to be the only system you will need.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

You really need someone who is tech savvy to help with intergration and training. You get as much out of it as you put in. I recommend having a specific person or team dedicated to training and implemntation. It can be more difficult for those who are not used to systems as complex as this.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps concise data that is organized and easy to input, find, and utilize. Our records are cleaner than ever. Epic is helping us service our insureds to the fulluest capacity.

  ### 42. Epic review with suggestions

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jessica S. | Commercial Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I use epic daily, all day long. I like epics ease of use. It is pretty intuitive. I like the Applied pay option a lot and the functionality is good. It was easy to learn for the most part.
Applied pay is great, super easy to create payment links for clients
I like that there is a built in spell checker.
certificates are easy to create and issue.
Customer support has been good, they have been responsive to our questions.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

I feel like I am constantly duplicating activity descriptions to notes and then again to label the attachments.
Almost Every time I double click on on a client from the locate list it jumps and opens the wrong client
I hate that I have to click through several screen to be able to copy and paste a policy number.
I don't like that I have to endorse a policy to make corrections on things that may be input incorrectly
I dont like that I cant create a prefilled cancellation request without generating a cancellation. it would be nice if you could get any form to prefill with clients info.
I wish we could import applications to set up new clients or new policies.
it would be nice to be able to add certificate holders by coping them from prior certificates.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I didnt really have any problems

  ### 43. A Powerful Tool for Managing Insurance Accounts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christie W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic keeps everything in one place — client details, policies, and accounting. It’s great for staying organized and improving team communication. The reporting and automation features also save a lot of time once you get them set up.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

It can be a bit clunky and slow to navigate. Some everyday functions take more steps than they should, and updates sometimes make familiar tasks harder to find.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic helps keep all client, policy, and document information in one system instead of juggling multiple tools or spreadsheets. It improves team collaboration, reduces duplicate work, and makes it easier to track renewals and service requests. Having everything connected in one platform saves time and keeps our processes consistent.

  ### 44. Applied EPIC: Streamlined Efficiency for Insurance Agencies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelvin S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied EPIC remains the clear industry leader, delivering the robust, comprehensive management backbone essential for enterprise-level agencies. The recent integration of Applied Pay is a game-changer for financial operations. This native feature truly helps sync all payments data together in one place, automating real-time records and eliminating manual entry. The result is a substantial gain in accounting efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

The platform is sometimes hampered by frustrating downtime or stuck processes, and greater flexibility is needed in reporting due to limitations in available data fields.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic is the core system that ties together the operational work of Account Managers and Producers with the financial reporting. It ensures management receives the accurate data necessary for critical decision-making

  ### 45. Best AMS I have used to date

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liset V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

I appreciate the frequent updates and the introduction of new technologies that help make our lives easier. The system is also very easy to use, which I really enjoy.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

At times, using the browser can be slow. Although this might be related to agency-specific issues rather than a problem with AMS itself, I never experienced this slowness when working on the desktop version. Still, on a positive note, transitioning to the browser has allowed us to benefit from more frequent updates and improved technology, which wouldn’t have been possible otherwise.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reporting feature is extremely useful for monitoring the team's productivity, and the addition of the renewals manager has truly changed the way we work.

  ### 46. Large Agency Epic User

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maddie W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

New updates to the configure screen make the system easier to use and read for admin users entering new employees. They have a great IT help desk set up specifically for my company and they respond quickly.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Employee Benefits users. The system can be less intuitive when trying to accomplish high level tasks. There are nice features but they tend to cost a large amount of money, which is understandable but some things need improvement for no cost to get the system up to date.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are starting to expand their tools within Employee Benefits. This is the only side of Epic we use and always are excited when we receive updates to the system.

  ### 47. EPIC is a 20 year leap backwards from TAM online.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott M. | President, CEO, administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Absolutely nothing, this product is a joke, it is antiquated in comparison to the TAM Online product. This move is clearly a money grab for training dollars or other savings.

This is not an improvement for your customers at all.

EPIC is a complete joke, everything is worse, less efficient.

Training was no existent, ever after being charged $14,000 for it.

If one more EPIC employee says we will get use to it I will lose my mind. I have used TAM for over 30 years. Fully understand what works and doesn't work for agency management. EPIC is decades behind TAM online.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

Virtually everything, can't list any think we like. I will actively seek to tell every agency owner I know, a lot of them, to avoid EPIC at any and all cost

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EPIC has created nothing but problems, there are no benefits, zero, in this product

  ### 48. Employee Benefits is growing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily H. | Data and Reporting Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Can provide alot of data if utilized habitually.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

For employee benefits it is not fully applicable. Some functionality could talk to each other, like the calculate buttons throughout the policy level. Renewals manager not being used if you don't issue your policies. Some fields are custom text which can cause confusion or inability to proper report

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If we could get AI to help with Data entry for EB policies. That would be a game changer.

  ### 49. The Most EPIC Way to Do Business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

Applied Epic is a powerful, cloud-based agency management system that streamlines all aspects of insurance operations in one platform. It boosts efficiency through workflow automation, centralized data, and seamless integration with third-party tools. The system is highly flexible, supporting both personal and commercial lines for agencies of all sizes. By driving digital transformation in a traditionally manual industry, Applied Epic is truly a game-changer.

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

While Applied Epic offers robust features, it can be slow to adapt to new technology trends and user feedback. System updates and bug fixes often take longer than expected, which can disrupt workflows. The interface, while functional, can feel outdated and unintuitive compared to newer platforms. There's clear potential for improvement if the company prioritizes faster innovation and more responsive support.

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applied Epic has transformed reporting and dashboards by offering real-time data insights and customizable analytics, allowing for more informed decision-making. This has significantly enhanced my ability to track performance metrics, identify trends, and respond proactively. The streamlined access to critical data has made reporting faster, more accurate, and directly impactful to my daily role.

  ### 50. Easy Email Integration, but Automation Feels extremely limited and Unintuitive

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Applied Epic?**

easy email integration, easily change things like security or other admin

**What do you dislike about Applied Epic?**

its inability to automate in the proper way, the way you have to tell it to move policies to each stage- no intuition. reporting and admin is not suer friendly at all

**What problems is Applied Epic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

took us off software that was becoming obsolete

**Official Response from Kelly Powell:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Applied Epic. We understand your concerns about the limitations of automation and the user-friendliness of reporting and admin features. We are committed to addressing these issues and making the platform more efficient for our users!
