"Transforming Risk Management Through Process Automation and Visibility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Appian?

What I like most about Appian is its low-code development environment, which enables rapid automation of risk management and operational processes without requiring extensive coding expertise. As a Risk Analyst at TNM, I find its workflow automation, case management, and process orchestration capabilities especially useful for tracking incidents, managing compliance activities, and strengthening audit trails. The drag-and-drop interface also makes it straightforward to design and adjust workflows as business requirements change over time. Appian’s integration capabilities allow us to connect data across multiple systems, which improves visibility and supports more informed, risk-based decision-making. In addition, the reporting and monitoring features help reinforce governance by providing real-time insight into process performance and potential risk exposures. What do you dislike about Appian?

While Appian is a powerful platform, some advanced customizations and integrations can be complex and may require specialized technical expertise. As a Risk Analyst at TNM, I’ve found that troubleshooting certain workflow configurations and integration issues can take longer than expected, especially when the setup is highly tailored. The user interface is functional, but it could be more intuitive in a few areas, particularly when navigating heavily customized applications and trying to locate specific options quickly.
