What do you like best about Appcues?

I like the flexibility of flows you can build in Appcues and the ways you can use it to engage with your users. I also really enjoy the analytics you get alongside the flows you build. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Appcues?

From a design standpoint, the builder is still a little elementary - many times to make something look how we want it we have to go into the CSS and figure out how to cobble it together. Specifically around sizing things like the modals or buttons. The other small con we have is that it doesn't work for native mobile - would love to see that come in later on. There is a small learning curve - mostly around setting up segments and making sure your flows are linked to the correct URLs so that it's showing to the right people. Recommendations to others considering Appcues:

Appcues overall has been great to work with. Their team is very responsive and helpful to get you started. If you're looking for a clean, modern engagement tool then Appcues could be a great fit for your team. The install was fairly simple - our developers had to install a line of code but after that we were up and running. Things you may want to consider for your business - currently no native mobile application support, it may benefit you to have someone who can do very basic CSS if you want to customize the design, and they charge by users in your platform so that can be a little tricky if you don't know exact user #. We have had to do some additional development work to cap how many users are being counted (we're only targeting Appcues at trial users). So far we're very happy with our choice to go with Appcues! What problems is Appcues solving and how is that benefiting you?

Currently we're using Appcues to improve our trial user onboarding flow. We're definitely seeing more engagement since bringing Appcues in - now we're just iterating and refining flows as we get more comfortable with the tool. One of our primary objectives is to find what value drivers our customers can realize quickly in our trial, and Appcues is giving us more insight into what those drivers may be.
