Honestly, the biggest win for me is having a massive B2B database and the outreach tools all bundled into a single platform.
Before Apollo, we wasted a ton of time bouncing between different tools—one to find contact info, another to verify emails, and then yet another piece of software just to send sequences. Now I can search for ideal leads using filters like industry, company size, and specific job titles, verify their emails right there, and drop them straight into an automated email sequence within minutes.
The Chrome extension is also a real game-changer, especially for prospecting directly from LinkedIn. On top of that, the free/starter tiers are generous enough that you can genuinely try it out and get a feel for the workflow before fully committing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While I really like the platform, it definitely comes with a few quirks. First, data accuracy can be a bit hit-or-miss. US data is generally pretty solid, but you’ll inevitably run into outdated job titles, old email addresses, or phone numbers that go straight to voicemail—especially when prospecting outside of North America or targeting smaller companies. Because of that, you really do need to double-check details to keep bounce rates down.
Second, the credit system and UI can feel restrictive at times. It’s easy to burn through your limits quickly if you’re not careful, and the learning curve can be steep for newer team members who are still trying to understand all the filtering and sequencing rules.
Lastly, customer support on the lower/self-serve tiers can be hard to reach quickly when you hit a technical hiccup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
