First of all, it's open-source which is a huge advantage over other alternatives. We started using it probably 2 years ago as per the client's demand and since then we have used Geode in multiple of our projects. It's really easy to configure Geode with a node application and with other backend frameworks as well (I used it with Spring boot and it was much easier than Node).
