"AI Feature Revolutionizes Chart Creation"
5/5
What do you like best about Amplitude Analytics?

I really find the AI addition in Amplitude Analytics to be a game changer. It saves me a lot of time and effort because now I don't need to understand the Amplitude dashboard in depth. I can just ask AI to find the data and create a chart for me, which is incredibly convenient. I also appreciate the timeline feature for debugging and user cohorts for production data. These features help me make important technical decisions, like determining how many users are on a specific OS version and whether it's safe to increase the minimum supported version. The tool also eases the creation of charts, enhancing my overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amplitude Analytics?

I think the events in the user timeline are not in the correct chronological order, which they should be, and it creates confusion. This is a major issue I face as it creates doubt while debugging and requires extra effort to verify. Also, there's a learning curve that takes a few days to understand all the things, but after that, it's mostly a smooth ride. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Amanda Brush of Amplitude

Hi Farheen, Good to hear the AI charts are saving you from learning every corner of the dashboard first. Timeline ordering is worth getting to the bottom of, because debugging is only as good as your confidence in the sequence. For the User Activity / individual event stream, the expected behavior is session-based ordering. Within each session, events are expected to be sorted by event time, and sessions themselves are sorted based on the first event in the session. So some “out of chronological order” appearances can be expected if you’re comparing across session blocks, but if you’re seeing events inside a session rendering out of order that is not the intended model. I suggest sending an example through support.amplitude.com and the team can look at exactly what you're seeing.
