What do you like best about Amazon Lex?

Being a Lead Developer, deployment of intelligent virtual assistants without getting lost in the minutiae of ML is a huge win. Lex eliminates grunt tasks, enabling us to concentrate on distinctive business logic rather than complicated machine learning. The Voice Input is converted using ASR, and the Intents and the important Slots extracted from the User Utterance with NLU (e.g., a 'BookFlight' Intent with a Slot that is the destination or the date). What do you dislike about Amazon Lex?

S3 and DynamoDB are simple ways to store data, while broad knowledge retrieval is playing an increasing role with Amazon Kendra and Amazon Bedrock. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Amazon Lex solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ASR and NLU for intent recognition and slot filling is the deep learning powering Amazon Alexa—so there is confidence in the fact that the bots are intelligible. Automated responses, even the design of bots, are being aided by Generative AI capabilities, initial development is being accelerated and sentiment analysis provides us with a better pulse on user interactions.
