"Relied on Akeeba Backup for over a decade"

What do you like best about Akeeba?

While Akeeba produces some great software, their backup software for Joomla & Wordpress is second to none.

Unlike most other backup tools, it creates a self-installing backup. When it's time to migrate a site, you simply throw up the backup and a php launcher and boom, it's done.

Setup is easy - it does most of it for you.

Backup is easy - hit the button and go

Migration is easy - download the backup and the kickstart file and upload it to the new server.

I used Akeeba backup weekly for the best part of a decade and had very few problems.

Any time I contacted support, they were proactive and extremely helpful.

What do you dislike about Akeeba?

The only element I ever had trouble with was my browser auto-complete creating passwords for the backup archives. Provided I was careful about that, I had zero issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Akeeba solving and how is that benefiting you?

Backing up & migrating sites can be problematic. This is particularly true on Wordpress, where most backup & restore products do more of a merge than an exact restoration. Akeeba is really the only product I know of that makes migrations simple, and doesn't require the destination CMS to be installed ahead of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
