What I like best about Akaunting is how simple and intuitive it is compared to traditional accounting software. It’s cloud-based, so I can access it anywhere, and the interface is designed with small business owners in mind. While Akaunting is excellent for small businesses, it could benefit from more advanced reporting customization and a wider range of integrations with third-party financial tools. Akaunting is quite similar in UI and function as QuickBooks online and was lower cost of entry. The lead person seems very capable and accessible in their community forums... until you have an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is a bit of setting up to do as each (non-core) capability is an add-on. These add-on app costs can add up -- so if "free" is a consideration -- then I'd certainly factor that in BEFORE spending much time on the program. BEWARE of renewal costs -- they are never grand-father priced, features are removed, app billing seems hit-or-miss... no accountability nor interest in resolving a double billing issue we had... we had to do a charge-back with our bank (and won all 14 incorrect charges). I reported a bug because their recurring invoice system created a few dozen invoices. I then got censored and banned from the Mattermost chat software, so I created a forum account and got banned, so I asked them on Twitter and got blocked, so I asked them on GitHub and got censored too.

The worst software that worked is Akaunting. I purchased two apps Double entry and Inventory. I first created a chart of accounts useful for my business and started posting my purchase bills After posting all the bills I noticed that the account payable value is still zero in the double-entry app. so I thought it did not get posted so I clicked the edit for the bill and saved it again strange thing happened the stock qty doubled but still value in the purchase and payable was zero.

Next strange when you make a sales invoice instead of stock reducing from inventory it kept on adding, still, my receivable value was zero in the double-entry app.

I wrote to their support many times they always kept saying that they did not understand my problem. I hope whoever reading this understood what was my problem.

SO PLEASE DONT BUY THIS SOFTWARE IT IS OF NO USE AND NO SUPPORT FROM THEM.

I like nothing about this software; once you buy their Apps and it fails to work, they block your account for good. I used the software for one year; then I decided to purchase the premium Apps; when they failed to work, I contacted them, and they later blocked me so that I couldn't log in nor do anything Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software is full of scams, and they do not refund the money; instead, they block you from all social media platforms and their communities so that you can't alert others Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Functionalities break after each update. When I updated the core sometimes it broke the whole database. We bought many paid plugins and after each update they would not work. For example one of the plugins which we bought was Woocomemrce sync which was breaking after each update. And the worst of all, the support is just bad. They reply with two or more days delay and they do not have the understanding of the fact that becaue of a bad update and a mistake that they made my website is down. And they did not refund us after two months of problems.
