What do you like best about AIVA?

You can extract MIDI files of AIVA’s productions, opening them up in your Digital Audio Workstation (like FL Studio, Logic etc.), you are then able to manipulate individual note pitches, timings or chord progressions and instruments in the piece. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AIVA?

As it relies heavily on users to input the chord sequences, tempos, and musical phrasing to guide the composition; it is more sophisticated than some instant chord generation softwares, and requires more inputs from the user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AIVA solving and how is that benefiting you?

In terms of how the software helped, it allowed me to instantly create impressive cinematic orchestral soundtracks and pieces that would otherwise have been inaccessible without orchestral scoring experience. The key challenge I ran into, as stated in the negative reviews was the need to avoid vocals to them, and also editing the generated music for a more natural "Human" feel needed additional post-production in another piece of editing software.
