"A Better Way to Organize Complex Workflows"

What do you like best about Airtable?

What I like most about Airtable is how flexible and customizable it is. I can take a complex academic workflow that would normally require multiple spreadsheets and turn it into a centralized system tailored to exactly how our team works.

Being able to link related information, create different views and interfaces for different users, and automate repetitive communication has been especially valuable for managing faculty scheduling, clinical placements, and broader academic operations. I also appreciate that I can keep refining the system as our processes evolve, without needing extensive technical or programming knowledge.

Overall, Airtable strikes a great balance for me: it’s powerful enough to handle complex workflows, yet still approachable enough for an administrative user to build, maintain, and adjust over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Airtable?

The biggest challenge with Airtable is the learning curve once you start using more advanced features like formulas, linked records, automations, and interfaces. Some of the more complex calculations and reporting can also take some trial and error.

I would also like more flexibility with permissions and user access when building interfaces for larger groups. Overall, though, these are manageable limitations given how customizable the platform is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Airtable solving and how is that benefiting you?

Airtable is helping us move away from managing complex academic and clinical scheduling processes across multiple spreadsheets and disconnected systems. I use it to centralize faculty availability, assignments, clinical sessions, staffing needs, and scheduling information in one place.

This gives our team better visibility, reduces duplicate or outdated information, and makes it much easier to identify staffing gaps and follow up with faculty.
