  ### 2. Robust tool for product strategy, development, and management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Robust capabilities for product strategy with great tools to establish vision, product models, positioning, personas, goals, competitors, and initiatives. Really great to align the product features and capabilities up to the goals and initiatives and strategy and show the connectedness of the work to the product strategy and show visibility for all stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

I dislike that the tool is not always intuitive and the terminology in product may be confusing for some users. The types of user access is somewhat limited, as is the customization, and the cost can be prohibitive for some organizations.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

product development, strategy, and management and improve organizational visibility into product work and to standardize tools

  ### 3. Good app but not too user friendly

The app has a lot of content but customizing is hard

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

It is hard to follow the app features. It is not self-explanatory. Was difficult to reach out to customer service.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to use it as a planning tool.

  ### 4. Get the best strategy to lead your company with aha!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Its original and empowering features are based on a system's reaction to the search for corporate strategies that fit their needs and shortcomings so that they can be combated and eliminated from a business format. Its objective planning, communications panel, color coding, task management, management models, progress tracking and capacity monitoring help product managers to link a brilliant strategy to their team's work.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

The task management of aha! is compromised in circumstances where its programming makes evaluation forms that appear constantly making the programming to create roadmaps that redirect the actions that the user performs in this system, preventing the linking of ideas by the platform, so this inconvenience must be corrected to understand greater monitoring of management status and prioritization of tasks, making it more effective work of the company.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Due to its management models, its strategy adjustment, its content supervision, its firmness in defining objectives, it is by far a work incentive that empowers the teams in charge of distributing the most functional and practical information and data of each organization, basing its programming on the progressive achievement of the goals set with the progress projection that is generated with aha! a software that has boosted the performance of operational tasks that are in charge of activating digital management guidelines.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The impressive capacity of this software has created visual road maps in minutes, to direct the business system of my organization by the most important aspects, managing publications, prioritizing tasks and the functions of capturing ideas that reflect the work and commitment of the team and programming to capture all the ideas with great relevance within my organization, to establish parameters and effective strategies, that correctly can get the company on the road to success.

  ### 5. Requirements management and product development process

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shanthan G. | Advisory Board Member, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2020

  ### 6. Love the support and I am constantly delighted!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela S. | Featured Speaker, E-Learning, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

I've never worked with a company that was so keen to help. A favorite exchange was when I was reporting a bug after a new release. My original support person went off shift and someone else took over the chat. I thought "it's okay for the guy to go home and have dinner!" The software itself helps us organize our product priorities like never before and multiple times a new release has gone out and I felt like Aha was reading my mind and solving my problems before I could even ask.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

It can be challenging for our users (non Product Managers) to navigate and find what they are looking for. I just tell them to use the search capabilities, and that it's not really a system well-suited for poking around in.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

take advantage of the trial and support!

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a way to manage and visualize how our development work connects to our business strategy.

  ### 7. Very good tool for roadmapping

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khadija E. | Lecturer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

I used it for a while and I see they are having in the right direction.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Still they lack some features to implement.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

One of the very good roadmapping tools that you can use.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project Management and roadmapping tools.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thank you so much for your positive review. We love hearing how we can make our software even better. Please share your ideas for new features on our portal at https://big.ideas.aha.io so our product team can review them.

  ### 8. If you want to manage your product correctly, use Aha!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmed A. | Entrepreneur & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

1. I liked the top down approach that Aha! adopts .. you need first to define your vision/goals/initiatives (strategy) before thinking releases/features/stories (work)
2. So organized and so customizable
3. You can integrate your Aha! with your agile tool like Jira/Azure DevOps or even other tools in your organization like Slack
4. Charts and reports are super useful
5. Notebooks one of the smartest features that you will need to share your plans with others who are either outside your Aha! or outside your organizations.
6. Use Aha! for planning and use your other tool (Jira/Azure DevOps) for working is like separation of concerns which I like so much

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

The most annoying thing when I work on Aha! is when you try to sort something on the roadmaps .. specially if you have a lot of items in there. When you try to update a date of one item everything else changes and you lose focus of the task at hand and you try to invest more time in fixing the roadmap.

I hope they fix it and make it more easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

If you really want organized direction about your product / project use Aha! to define your strategy and start building your product on principles instead of not having clear vision. Vision creates products.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a strategy for our product and based on this strategy we have plans and work to do in order to achieve our goals one of the best benefits and solutions to a lot of problems in our product development journey.

  ### 9. A great management software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adino J. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

After using a lots of different project management software solutions i recently came across AHA! and it really lives up to my expectations. The ability to create High level complex road maps and ease of organizing all the ideas complemented with a Nice User Interface just makes it more awesome . In addition to basic time management and scheduling tools , it also provides you a wide methods of data analysis that can produce graphs, charts, and reports on project details. Moreover the trial period duration is enough for us to choose weather we want this product or not . Moreover the Customer Support is really Good !!

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

It needs a little time to get familiar with all its features and Not all of its features are easily accessible via mobile devices . It still need to make its user Interface little more friendly especially for those who are New to this . Other than this i don't think there is any major cons in this.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

If you want a great project/product management tool combined with some really neat features like roadmaps and a wide array of data analysis and a good way or organising ideas . You should really go for it !!!

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Great powers comes the demand of a great software to manage it . Sometimes while working on project we often have troubles in organizing our ideas centrally at one place which hinders our overall capability and efficiency . With the use of its complex road and Ease of Organizing of Ideas combined with other features like Data analysis like Graphs it has greatly contributed to our overall efficiency

  ### 10. Great Portfolio Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The software is easy to use and share ideas with others.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

I haven’t had anything dislike as of yet.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to share research project ideas and proposals.

  ### 11. Aha! is a refreshing restart for Project Management software after a big search for the perfect tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Aha can be a sophisticated tool that's very flexible and configurable so it requires a little while to get fluent with everything it may possibly do, and be aware of the best workflow patterns with it. That said, once you discover your groove it gets much more easily. The support team help with that if. Pricing is also in the premium end of the market, particularly for smaller companies, but you do tend to obtain what you pay off.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

As with all complicated software, confidential details has a steep learning curve in fact it i difficult to build new processes from a company for an article rewriter program with this much coverage and that touches so many aspects of the business. Oftentimes when we began using crucial appetite for a certain purpose we found out that it was often required to make adjustments in other parts of the company to effectively use confidential details. A good example would be our adjustment of protocols in enterprise with JIRA to effectively leverage functionality in Aha!. This often meant work required in those areas that's not initially foreseen. However, when was said and done - after on-boarding the product major was a net increase in our ability to effectively manage projects

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vast volume functionality related to just about all aspects of project management. The scheduling tools in order to different timelines and dependencies on a task is the best I have featured in a single self-contained project management artillery. Apart from basic time management and scheduling tools in addition there are a wide array of data analysis which will produce graphs, charts, and reports on project details recorded into Aha!, providing info previously unrecorded or not rooked while using previous platforms. This means that you can see how a lot of time you spend, your pain points, and areas of improvement for a single project or for the company as an entirely.

  ### 12. The full Product Management toolkit, with all the trimmings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben K. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Aha is the most powerful and full-featured product management solution on the market, and most of what it aims to do, it does well.

It integrates with nearly everything, and provides enormous flexibility in how you choose to setup your workflow. It also provides good tutorials and and blog posts to help understand how to set up and use the software.

As well as providing essential features such as feature (& epic) backlog, roadmaps, and release planning, it also provides structure to help define top-down strategy, with its templates such as business canvas, SWOT, 5 factors, and its structure for defining goals and strategic initiatives.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

It has quite a steep learning curve, by virtue of being so configurable, and offering so much functionality. Figuring out the best way to use it, even with tutorial & primer resources, can be time consuming.

The lack of true Zenhub integration has been a pain point for us.

It is also quite expensive - and it will add up as you inevitably add more users, since there will be impetus to convert Reviewer accounts into paid seats over time - you simply get more/better participation from users that have read/write access to features, epics, releases, roadmap etc.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aha has allowed us to have a single view of what were previously more disparate projects, and apply top-down strategy to them to move them closer to a true product line. The multiple integrations supported also played well with our organizations often heterogenous processes and preferred tools - such a single view, integrating all of our external sources of truth, would be impossible to build in most other tools.

  ### 13. Very easy for project managers to build out road maps and articulate them to stakeholders

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith B. | Principal Product Manager Customer Analytics and Insights, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2019

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Hi Keith

Thank you so much for the awesome video review! If you are still struggling to get your integration with Jira working exactly the way you want, please don't hesitate to send us a note at support@aha.io. Our Customer Success team are all former product managers and would love to help.

  ### 14. Roadmapping done right

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ken K. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Aha! is a complete roadmapping solution. I use it for the company, software and marketing roadmapping.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Aha! has somewhat of a steep learning curve. But once you start to understand how it works it becomes a great tool. Most of the problem is user error not the software or platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Best roadmapping software I've found, just be ready for a steep learning curve.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to develop the company strategy and roadmap. We use it to develop our marketing strategy and roadmap, and we use it for the software strategy and development.

  ### 15. Excellent strategy and roadmap features with multiple customizable reports

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alberto E. | R&D IT PLM Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The tool is focused on high level strategic planning, as opposed to detailed project and task planning, but also offers a way to link the two. For us, the Initiatives, Goals, Scorecard and Releases features look very promising for us to achieve the strategy tracking improvements we are after.

The first thing that drew our attention to Aha! was the varied selection of reports available out of the box, most of which are customizable. The ability to group products into product lines and create report views by these is a very strong feature. This allows us to create views for specific teams, tribes or entire portfolio.

We have not tried the Jira integration but we think that will allow us to keep our detailed planning in Jira, while adding a more consolidated high level view of things.

As a SaaS solution it is easy to get started without much upfront cost and effort. Some of the alternative tools we considered reusing from our existing portfolio required more config and setup to implement the portfolio we want to manage.

We were able to build out our portfolio on Aha! pretty much on our won without contacting the Aha! support team. We plan to use their help for the more advanced features. The support team has been reaching out to us periodically during the trial period.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Some mid-level user documentation might be useful. If it exists, I did not find it easily, but there are a few good intro videos and you can always ask the support team on specific questions.

More info on the report options and capabilities would be useful. We learned by clicking around to see what happened. But we found some really good reports and some that didn't work so well because we were missing part of the data setup.

I noticed some minor UI slow down after using it for a while.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Have a good idea of what portfolio you want to model. If this is clear, putting into the Aha! tools is fairly quick and easy.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After using it as a trial we believe this tool has a lot of potential for us for managing an IT application portfolio.

We were able to model our PLM IT application portfolio in the way we manage it by using product lines, initiatives and goals. We strongly believe that Aha! will help us manage our PLM strategy at a high level, with idea and initiative tracking, without the project planning details we already have in Jira, but plan to use the integration to link the two levels of planning.

We aim to reduce the time we spend manually maintaining strategic roadmaps in Power Point and Excel, and use instead the time to analyze our portfolio more effectively by using the various ways Aha! reports and pivots.

We also plan to use the scorecard feature, to track business value on our roadmap items. This will be an improvement to how we do strategic planning in our team.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review, Alberto. It sounds as though you are well on your way to get everything set up for your portfolio!

We would love to hear your suggestions on how we can improve our documentation. Are there specific reports or options that you were looking to find more details about?

If you need any further help, please send us a note at support@aha.io and our Customer Success team will respond within two hours.

  ### 16. Aha Bridges the Gap between Product and Marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

I like how visual Aha! is. It keeps my up-to-date and current on what releases Product has coming up. It not only helps with planning, but it ties the vision and overall roadmaps for specific product lines.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

The only dislike, which really isn't one about the software, is that you need full team adoption to get the most out of it.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Make sure your entire team adopts it and let others in your organization know that it exists and how you use it.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Handling product launches, showing the status of products to executive team members and investors.

  ### 17. Has changed how we think, plan and communicate roadmaps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier F. | Sr. Director, Product Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The ability to have a shared roadmap, in a cloud tool meant to do just that across my organization. Before we had a Aha!, there were tons of spreadsheets and slides flying around and even if they were on cloud tools, there was no common understanding of what was oficially on the roadmap. With Aha! that has changed in only a couple of months. I can't wait to see the additional value we can extract.
Aha!, in my opinion, is the most robust option out there. There a few tools that I tried that have nice visualization options, but nowhere near the power and flexibility of Aha!

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Aha! is so powerful and so customizable that it took me a while to figure out how best to apply it to my particular situations and challenges. That said, their amazing customer success team has been and continues to work patiently and diligently to help me make the most out of it.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centrally acknowledged, accesible by everyone company wide product roadmap. This has helped me get aligment across the company and make it obvious to distinct stakeholders where we have staffing or expectations gaps
Solutions roadmaps for customer specific solutions. This is a great way to communicate to customers how their specific projects are coming along.
Ability to tie every project to a corporate goal

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a great review, Javier. I am thrilled to hear Aha! is already providing so much value to your organization.

Aha! is no doubt a sophisticated tool for driving product strategy, sharing your roadmap, and detailing features. If you meed any further help customizing the application to get the most of it, please do not ever hesitate to let our Customer Success team know.

  ### 18. Amazing product for ideation with integrations into other amazing products.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristopher B. | Product Development Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

We use Aha! for ideation and generation of features from our internal and external contributors. We like the ability to give our contributors a portal for easy access to submit, comment, vote and follow up on ideas. The contributor might not always know the best fit for an idea, we like the ability to move ideas between product lines with the click of the mouse. We started using the road map feature to better inform our upper level management of our progress. We are really excited about the integration with Azure DevOps. As a development team, we rely heavily on DevOps and the integration allows us to reduce the data entry aspect. The development team can comment in their system and the contributor can answer in Aha!, this creates a seamless flow. Overall, for the past year, we have been learning the platform and building out our processes. We are at a point now where we have embarrassed Aha! and will be promoting this throughout our organization.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

One of the biggest hurdles is understanding all of the options you have at your fingertips. The learning curve was a little difficult at first to make sure you were using the correct area of the platform. For example, there are multiple road map options. Finding which one fits best for your need was something we had to learn by trial and error.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were attempting to solve the ideation portion of our software development life cycle. We had tools for developers and testers but nothing for the product owner and contributors. We knew we needed a way to track the ideas of our contributors in an orderly fashion as to not overwhelm the product owner. With Aha!, we are able to keep all the ideas in a central location and allow the product owner to manage and provide feedback.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Many thanks for your review, Kristopher. If you need any help tailoring your account to your organization's needs, please don't hesitate to send us a note at support@aha.io. Our Customer Success team are all former product managers and would love to share best practices with you and answer any questions.

  ### 19. a focussed and feature rich product management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike M. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Aha! provides a complete set of tools to manage the full cycle of Product Management and Marketing.

I started using product development tools like Jira, and then VersionOne but each felt and operated as if they were developed for on purpose and evolved into product management tools. None handled product marketing.

From the moment a fellow CTO introduced me to Aha!, it became very clear that this tool was designed from scratch to handle the full spectrum of product management. The governance features that help the product owners focus on the business strategy and goals, help define product initiatives to deliver on those goals. Customer Personas help the product team remain focused on the customer.

Our product owners love working with feature development since they define both how the features should work, and they also get to prioritize feature delivery. The customizable Aha! Score helps align value with cost to develop.

For development, we integrate to Azure DevOps so the developers can focus on their development tasks while maintaining visibility into who we are building the features for and what business goals we are seeking to support.

Ideas are well handled since contributors feel welcome to ask for features and the evaluation process provides transparency into the promotion (or not) from idea to feature.
Product roadmaps provide information that executive management and board expect, in a usable format.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

The tool is incredibly powerful with many features that make easy to create a complex monster that consumes all your time, so you loose focus on the original goal - efficiently deliver a product that meets customer expectations and business goals.
It requires discipline to keep the model simple.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

This is not a traditional project management tool.
If you are responsible for creating products for a target market and are spending scarce cash on building the features needed to satisfy the market, this tool will help you make wise decisions and keep stake holders informed.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of the stakeholders in the company are aligned on product functionality and release cadence which minimizes surprises. We deliver better software because of feature prioritization.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Many thanks for your great review, Mike. I wanted to mention that you can customize your menu navigation to simplify the screens you would like to be visible in your account. We appreciate that every team works in a unique way, so we include many customization options to tailor the software to your needs.

If you need any help tailoring your account to your organization's needs, please don't hesitate to send us a note at support@aha.io. Our Customer Success team are all former product managers and would love to share best practices with you and answer any questions.

  ### 20. Aha! covers all angles of product management and launches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

I like the multiple ways in which you can visually see how high level links down to every feature in every release. It helps me as a product manager ensure what we are developing has been through due diligence and fully vetted. I also love being able to customize the scorecards to thoroughly analyze and ruthlessly prioritize a backlog of customer input.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Only thing I dislike is I am probably not using Aha! to its full potential because of how feature rich it is.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing risk by listening to customer feedback and being able to respond. Communicating with internal stakeholders has been so much easier since we implemented Aha!, being able to craft roadmaps and project plans for presentations is a time saver.

  ### 21. Promising with a strong user experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew D. | Sr Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The product looks promising. Most questions I've had so far were met with substantial answers and recommendations. It seems like "sky's the limit" applies with Aha! and their support team backing it up.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

UI can be busy, but this is always something that overwhelms people at first and once you get used to it things become familiar and you know where to look for the data you need.

Also, I'm using the Jira integration and there's a big learning curve here to get things situated properly with a complex Jira setup (multiple projects with various workflows, etc.) However, Mike in support has been absolutely fantastic at answering all the questions I've had so far (and there have been a LOT). Every other product I've explored for certain purposes (some similar to Aha!) didn't have answers or recommendations for the things I was trying to accomplish. Aha! is the first tool that appears to do what I need, and even if what I need is complex they have a support team eager to help guide me through it. I might find some obstacles/blockers down the road as I'm new to Aha! however I feel confident their team wants to help empower me to be successful.

Lastly, I first started the integration by mapping Jira Epics to Aha! Initiatives, which seems like the default out of the box recommendation. However I learned that mapping it to Master Features is the best way to approach it, and Master Features is not enabled by default. For learning purposes to get familiar with apps, I typically like to leave things configured by default until I encounter a need to modify settings. So, I had to redo my entire integration because it was configured by default which is not the recommended way of setting things up. This was the biggest pain for me so far. If you know this going in, then you're golden.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Have an understanding of how you want your records structured in Aha!, and if you have an integration to set up ensure you map correctly. For example, mapping Jira Epics to Aha! Initiatives is very limiting (default), but mapping Jira Epics to Aha! Master Features is really awesome (must be manually enabled and is not default).

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product Strategy platform to take things up a higher level than Jira. Jira is very tactical at a granular level of each ticket/record, and Aha! allows me to view/visualize things at different layers -- a layer cake approach. Furthermore, I've wanted to build an algorithm in Jira custom fields to consider lots of data points and automagically determine the value of prioritizing a ticket (impact vs cost). Aha! Score feature looks like a simple way to achieve this in Aha and I can perhaps link it to Jira ticket fields to get that knocked out.

Another thing that's big for us is to be able to represent plans, strategy, progress, etc. at various levels to various stakeholders. For our products, and the entire portfolio of products. Standardizing on 1 tool to empower this, and getting everyone speaking the same language and looking at similar data structures/visualizations really helps streamline this.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thanks for taking the time to write such a thorough review, Matthew. I am glad you have been working so closely with our Customer Success team. We appreciate that every team works in a unique way, so we include many customization options to tailor the software to your needs.

We appreciate how important the interface is to your overall user experience. Our goal is to provide a simple and consistent user experience throughout the application — so do let us know if you have any suggestions to make it even better.

  ### 22. Great Tool For Our Product Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

It's a great way to document client goals, product strategy, tie features to strategy, and build product roadmaps. We can share our work with the team before it is exported to JIRA.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Unless everyone uses the platform properly, sometimes it does not provide the insights we really need. Need more documentation about how to ensure proper usage.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Make sure roll-out documentation details exactly how teams are expected to use it in order to get the most out of the platform.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our product owners can now share secure links so we can review work as we move from strategy to features to requirements. This helps us communicate more and do better work overall.

  ### 23. Aha! We've found our missing link!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon K. | Senior Product Line Management Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Besides having an excellent customer service experience, the Aha! tool meets our corporate objectives, our PLM team's needs, and connects adjacent tools to paint a complete picture of product development and enhancement. The many features of the application allow us to appropriately prioritize and access critical information from feature request development, financial planning, and service request resolution all in one tool.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Thus far, the only complaint received from the team is the inability to reply to all when communicating with the service team. However, we hear this issue is on deck to be resolved shortly.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting feature requests in Salesforce, workflow in JIRA, and service requests in another application has been a hurdle to overcome, especially as our organization and product offerings continue to increase. When critical product status updates are needed, we lacked the resource to prioritize and track development. The Aha! application is the missing link we desperately needed.

  ### 24. Aha is the best way to manage your products. End of Story!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan M. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Aha gives us the easiest way to understand what features are in what release but most importantly help us objectively quantify which features are going to get the most bang for buck.
I love the ideas section which has let us open up to our customers and get them involved in our product roadmap, and importantly keep them informed of how their contributions are making a difference.
My favourite feature would have to be the configurable Aha Score. This has been the best way of solving arguments over which feature belongs in the next release.
The integration with JIRA is great even if it does take a few goes to get it working exactly the way you want it too.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

It's a little daunting at first. This product just does so much!!! I do wish there were a really good simple dummy's guide to getting the most common things up and running including integration with JIRA. However, once I finally got my head around it, it has become second nature.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Definitely attend one of the webinars to learn some of the features. Just start with one product and get everything working as you want it before adding in other products.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of the features and ideas for multiple products in our company. We are delivering better thought out software because of Aha that puts the most valuable ideas front and centre in our development roadmap.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thanks for writing such a great review, Jordan. Our daily live demos and quick start guides are a great way to discover what Aha! can do and how to configure your account. And of course, if you or anyone on your team ever needs help, please don't hesitate to send us a note at support@aha.io. Our Customer Success team are all former product managers and would love to answer any questions.

  ### 25. Using Aha! has been wonderful - there are so many options available!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole W. | Technical Product Manager , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

We really enjoy the visibility the portals provide to our clients. Allowing clients to submit, vote and comment on our current product solutions and view any outstanding defects has been a great benefit to both our staff and clients. Having this information helps us to prioritize our workload and create our product roadmaps.

Additionally, the support we receive from the staff is exceptional. They have always been very responsive and helpful with any questions we have had.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

With all of the tools available it can sometimes be overwhelming when setting up the portals, workflows, etc. But once you have everything setup, its very easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Take advantage of the free trial. Once you start using it, you will be hooked!

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aha! has helped us prioritize our work based on client feedback regarding enhancements and functionality they would like to see added to our solutions.

  ### 26. Custom reports with time tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Waldo B. | Project Development Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

It brings the point of view of the project applied to the final client at the same time that also shows the management that must be carried out of the team and the tasks that will be carried out to achieve the objectives. This double approach provides a much broader vision of the projects.

The timeline report helps us to check and deepen all the characteristics of our product, the deadlines we have to design it and launch it to the market and also the objectives we intend to achieve once we have presented it in the market. These personalized reports convey a large amount of information for the creation of new products.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

You need to review introductions and videos to really understand the full operation of the platform since the learning can be somewhat long to have different features.

The user interface could also be a bit better structured so that it would not be so difficult to understand at first, although when you have been using the program for a while and that difficulty is reduced.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

With Aha! You can structure and do a better follow-up of your projects and at the same time verify the final customer's vision of the product, so it is a good way to better manage the projects in the company.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can design and structure new products better before putting them on the market. It is more efficient to have an analysis of the timeline, characteristics and objectives that we want to achieve, since this helps us to have a greater long-term profitability.

The operation of our company equipment has also improved, since Aha! facilitates cooperation and also to check the point of view of the end customer also helps us to better understand their needs and work to achieve them.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Hi Waldo

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thorough review. I am delighted to hear that Aha! is helping your company better manage projects.

Our goal is to provide a simple and consistent user experience throughout the application. We continuously improve our software and would love any suggestions you may have to make it even better. Please don't hesitate to share your ideas with us at https://big.ideas.aha.io.

  ### 27. Great product and awesome customer support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas G. | Chargé de projet - Produits, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The Aha! portal is a good tool for product managers. It has a lot of features, some very deep. It is possible to use it to manage everything or use only the most basic features. The 2 best parts are the constant evolution of the product and the customer service. There are update and new feature on (at least) a monthly basis and any email to customer support is answered in the same day, sometimes the same hour.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

I used JIRA for several years and I loved the keyboard shortcuts. Aha! does not have shortcuts, I would love to have shortcuts.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a very creative and engaged workforce and customer base. They suggest ideas at a staggering pace. Aha! helps us stay on top of this deep idea pool. With its integration with VSTS, Aha! also helps us keep the developers in their tool suite and the rest of the company uses Aha! to stay informed of the status of the ideas submitted through Aha!.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Hi Nicolas

Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive review. I wanted to share this article that explains the shortcuts you can use in Aha!

https://support.aha.io/hc/en-us/articles/360024452532-Text-editor-keyboard-shortcuts

Let us know if this meets your needs. And if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@aha.io.

  ### 28. Great tool, & I have a LOT of background

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher H. | Independent Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The provided templates provide several services to users depending on their seniority and role. For junior folks, they templets are checklists of what needs doing. They are also useful to senior users as a handy tool when looking for holes. Senior users will find that the templates provide ready-made 'cubby-holes' for information that, without any rhyme or reason, just pops-up.

The ability to generate your own reports formats makes keeping other interested parties informed without giving them a monster tome what fur them is a waste of time.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Remembering that the team Is improving and extending the product at a blistering pace, what is missing today may well be a feature in the next update. Or the one after that:

There are missing features that preclude Earned Value analysis. If you are doing work with large government organizations (NASA, DoD, DoE, etc.) and on big projects, you must use a more traditional planning tool e,g, MS Project., you MUST do Earned Value analysis.

As an aside, EV has a bad reputation in some circles, Some of it earned, like measuring delays in Dollars ONLY. ("Hi, I am going to be about $50.00 late.") It is also used as a hammer to pound on project managers. In fact, it exposes where your plan and performance do not align, PERIOD! Then you go hunting fur the problem. Used properly, it is a smart thing to do.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Use the trial. Persevere and at least get familiar with the UI. If you need some of the stuff in MS Project (and /or friends), find a Uber-Geek to build you a bridge between the tools..

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am just getting started and already I am a fan. the interface must be learned, as always. Actually, I am a BIG fan!

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thank you so much for your positive and detailed review, Christoper. We are curious to learn more about how you apply Earned Value analysis to your work.

Our Enterprise+ plan includes custom worksheet fields. This sophisticated capability allows you to add any type of data to records in Aha! and run calculations. You can read more about it here: https://blog.aha.io/build-custom-worksheet-equations-using-any-data-in-aha/

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you in more detail and see if custom worksheets would be an effective solution . Please send us a note at support@aha.io and our Customer Success team will be delighted to help.

  ### 29. Organization, Transparency, and Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daisey F. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

With the use of Aha!, we have been able to become better organized and transparent with the projects in development with the rest of the company. We are able to easily integrate with Jira and Zendesk which also helps us stay in sync with multiple departments across the company as well.

We implemented a user idea portal with Aha! and we've seen an increased growth in the communication of ideas from our users. It's wonderful to be able to promote an idea to a feature as we choose which ideas to incorporate, and then share that feature with Jira for our developers.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

At this time, we do not have any dislikes as the features we use in Aha! have met our needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Try it! Aha! provides a 30 day, all access trial. It was through this trial that we were able to see what our team was missing and how Aha! could easily solve the problems and areas we needed to improve.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Aha!, we manually created roadmaps in a spreadsheet application and struggled to continue to keep these up-to-date and in sync with actual development work. Aha! has a great Reports section that allows us to display the features, epics, initiatives, and more, in a report and have it automatically update as the work progresses. These reports can then easily be shared with members of the company, which helps our department be more transparent in our efforts, goals, and timelines.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thank you for writing such a thoughtful and detailed review, Daisey. We are so thrilled to hear that Aha! is bringing better transparency and communication to your organization.

  ### 30. Clear focus on Product Strategy & Planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robyn Marie D. | Director - Product Success, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

As an admin, I appreciate the ease & flexibility in customizing the UI + the incredible support & concierge team who is always available to provide guidance. My Product teams favorite part is the ability to have a top-down view of their work, either within the Initiative, the Release, or from the Hierarchy Report - for planning & management.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

There is some standard functionality our teams are used to utilizing in JIRA or other systems that aren't currently available in Aha!. However, Aha! leverages an Idea Portal and will consider customer-submitted Ideas for their Roadmap. It's also unfortunate that functionality like Custom Tables, is only available to E+ customers.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Because Aha! is so feature-rich, it can have a bit of a learning-curve. Ensure you're confident in your PDLC and other processes before building out the tool and then give your teams the time to learn & adapt. Aha! also has one of the strongest support teams I've seen to help you along the way!

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We experienced a lot of gaps while solely using JIRA as our Product Management tool. Aha! provided an automatic Feedback Loop via the Idea Portal, a natural structure for Epics > Features > Stories (via custom naming), built-in Goal Structure, out-of-the-box integrations with our CRM & Development tools, one-click Roadmap Reporting, and - most importantly - dedicated focus on Strategy.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Hi Robyn

Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. We would love to hear about the additional functionality you would like to see in Aha! and glad you are already sharing your ideas via the portal.

With regards to custom tables, we include it in the Enterprise+ plan because it is a sophisticated capability. This plan provides customers with a hands-on level of support.

Please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Success team at support@aha.io if we can help in any way.

  ### 31. Planning and roadmaps made visible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sten v. | Area Product Owner (SAFe Product Manager) / Agile Coach (Transitie Manager), Management Consulting, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

In our company we have a lot of teams that work together on initiatives. Al the features should be planned and because of AHA we can make this visual very easy. You can add all sorts of custom fields and report back on them. We work in a government environment so reporting on all different sorts of work is very important. For the first team the product managers (SAFe) feel in control and teams are able to pull good features to develop. It’s also easy to connect AHA to the Jira boards of the teams.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Missing userstories an scrum board for teams, but then it's more than a product manager tool.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Use it to maken roadmapping and planning easy

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Complicity within the planning for all the different stakeholders and business owners.

  ### 32. Fast adoption for clients and product owners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany B. | Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Aha gives us one place to store our decisions related to a product as well as track UAT and Support needs throughout the product lifecycle - But more importantly, the filtering, reporting, and search functionality make it easier for our team to find the context and resources we need. By having the additional work we do in development sync up via Jira with aha, we are able to provide better reporting on scope changes. I've only just started applying goals and initiatives to product lines and products, but I am already seeing that it will be a valuable tool for our clients in prioritizing what is valuable to their organization.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

We are still in the initial stages of training our team, and so far the challenge has been assisting those users in seeing the right views, etc. It would be wonderful if we could assign default views to the team/individuals that they could then change if they wanted for their initial workspace. Some of our staff is less technically inclined than others, and navigation and filtering have been the biggest hiccups in training.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Like with any product like aha or jira, you'll find more of your setup is about defining your business process and less about the software itself. Start small and work up to using more features in aha to avoid being locked at a standstill due to process changes.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use aha for a long term client, our internal custom software division clients, and our own product. Whenever I have presented aha to the stakeholders who would benefit the greatest, it has been our product owners and product managers, who have been the most excited. We've been looking for a way to bridge the gap between our technical and business teams, and aha has given us a place to do so while still catering to the many layers of stakeholders we have. The notebooks have been valuable for our custom service side when presenting scope to clients, as well as for C-Level reporting in the other business units. The idea portal has allowed us to create discovery groups that can input their ideas and suggestions, while still allowing us to decide final scope. It's been a wonderful way to increase collaboration and reduce miscommunication between stakeholder groups. It's increased the activity and engagement of stakeholders that were typically silent with our past discovery and product management strategies.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Hi Brittany,

Thank you so much for the excellent review. Please do not hesitate to let us know if we can help your team get familiar with Aha! Our daily live demos are a great way to discover what Aha! can do and answer any questions.

This diagram shows how the Aha! data model works: https://support.aha.io/hc/en-us/articles/202001087. It might help the team understand the different record types and the relationships between them. I also wanted to mention that you can customize your menu navigation to simplify the screens you would like to be visible in your account.

Again, if you need any help send us a note at support@aha.io. Our Customer Success team are all former product managers and would love to answer any questions.

  ### 33. Very feature rich for complex products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Coyote J. | Head of Product (Director of Product Management), Wireless, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The feature set of Aha is extremely comprehensive, and they constantly add new actually useful features. It does the majority of what I need, and the data models and hierarchy are extremely flexible, with custom fields and workflows enabling me to build out an entire product and portfolio management process.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

There are a variety of things that are very hard to do with Aha - they can be done but it takes a LOT of clicks. This discourages use of the product. A thorough UX review and redesign could probably drive up usage and utility quite a bit.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Aha probably does what you need for product management. It is so feature rich that it can be somewhat challenging to use, particularly for new users or people outside the PM org not using it every day. But, it is incredibly flexible. I built an entire company collaborative culture around using it. There are some things it doesn't do, like integrate with CRM to get lists of customers etc. The Ideas Portal is great, very flexible way to gather input from other areas of the company, field reps, support agents etc. The Jira integration is very flexible and you can probably make what you need to work work, however the hierarchy is complex.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing a complex platform product with many components. Portfolio management. Managing work for 7 engineering teams. Project management reporting cross-functionally. Answering questions of "when" and "what" for teams and other business functions.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Hi Coyote

Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the overall UX. Our goal is to provide a simple and consistent user experience throughout the application. We continuously improve our software and welcome your suggestions to make it even better. If you have any specific thoughts on what we could do to improve the UX, please don't hesitate to add your ideas to our portal at https://big.ideas.aha.io.

  ### 34. Best Strategy Building & Execution tracking tool EVER

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Logacheva M. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

I have tried various platforms overt the last few years and love that it is the only one which has a strategy template and I can plan my activities based on the overarching strategy.
Then each element of the strategy can be planned separately and it becomes a very clear and actionable plan of action, which combines all part of the business together. Where HR/Marketing and business development come together. And all can see what is happening within the business.
It is convenient and easy to understand for all the team members, even if they are not part of the management team.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

It takes some time to get used to it, but it is very intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

its a great all-in-one system for all business functions

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't know which program to choose which would allow to combine all projects within the business in one system. And Aha! is well organise and intuitive plus gives a helicopter of the whole business planning/status of the projects. So we all can plan/track our projects be it marketing (anything from social media to website/landing pages/app development, off-line activities), HR or business development whilst still using one system.

  ### 35. Great way to organize project features in agile

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Easy to use, clear navigation, and drag and drop features allows you to easily move features around the board.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

While it does sync with Jira (you can create a Jira card through Aha seamlessly), the reverse does not happen, which can cause a lot of double work and confusion if using both softwares.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sprint planning and prioritization.

  ### 36. Great tool, seamless integrations, and timely customer service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Native integrations to third-party tools. This allows those that define the roadmap to use the tools that make it easy for them to define the work (AHA) and allows those that do the work to use tools that are easy to use for them (Azure DevOps). And, in the case that we encountered issues with those integrations, the customer service team was quick to respond, knowledgable, and provided great suggstions to get us to a resolution quickly & painlessly

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

It is difficult to reflect relative priortization that syncs from Aha to the third-party development tool. The AHA! Score helps with this but we end up having to define this within the third-party tool to help inform the development team of what's up next

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now, our team is assessing Aha to use as a tool to help create a single source of truth for all work that is done by our Product team. We've traditionally used excel, powerpoint, a project management software, and a software dvelopment software; but we have found it difficult to manage work in many places and realized that none of these elevate the work we are doing to a leadership level for accurate read-outs. Aha, so far, seems to be the tool that will get us there!

  ### 37. The Best All-In-One tool for product development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jarmo K. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Aha! is the best all-in-one tool I know to formalize a business idea and create a product development roadmap. Templates and reports help team to get focus on development and help a lot in collaboration with stakeholders. In addition, Aha! provides nice tools to design product features from both business and technical perspective. I highly recommend to test Aha!.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Nothing worth to mention comes mind. Naturally one must learn how to use tool and it might take some time, but Aha! gives feature walkthrough and guidelines.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started to develop a new SaaS service and wanted to formalize our goals, business landscape, product features and roadmap. Aha! gives tools and templates to formalize these in a way we want.

  ### 38. A powerful tool that combines marketing strategy with delivery management and roadmapping

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nolan S. | Product Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

AHA is well thought out, fully featured solution, and you can tell it's been built by people who are solving problems they have directly wrestled with in the past. The support team is extremely responsive, and the tool is highly configurable

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

This product covers so much ground that there is a significant learning curve and it can be a little hard to know where to start. The in app-training does a decent job of alleviating this, but at the end of the day, really versatile tools usually come with a learning curve, and AHA is no exception.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Make sure you are clear what your most urgent organizational needs are: Do you most need to clarify strategy? do you mostly need a roadmap? Do you need to improve your progress management? This product can do a lot of things, so you need to know what you are looking for.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AHA provides a single source of truth that connects our product strategy, market intelligence, and delivery roadmap together, so that we stay aligned as a product organization.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thanks for writing such a great review, Nolan. Aha! is no doubt a sophisticated tool for driving product strategy, sharing your roadmap, and detailing features. If you meed any further help customizing the application to get the most of it, please do not ever hesitate to let our Customer Success team know.

  ### 39. End to End Product Management tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

A unified view of all products across the enterprise. Even though products may be at varying stages of maturity, each team is able to use Aha effectively to share their strategy and roadmap.

Great customer service. Very responsive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Nothing to fault till now. The UI can look confusing to a non-product manager, but it is easy to pick up.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Aha, all teams used different templates in Excels, PPTs shared over emails. With the introduction of Aha, all teams speak the same language and are disciplined in how they share their strategy, roadmaps and business models. The leadership team has a unified view of all products across the enterprise.

  ### 40. Terrific flexibility for our startup needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

We have a diverse set of multi-national customers. Our team likes the flexibility of Aha! in dynamically reprioritizing, rationalizing product capabilities - linked to customer demands.
Visual nature is well designed, and not overly cluttered.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

None yet, has met all of our essential needs very effectively so far.

While I like the strategy elements, sometimes our biz strategy documents have been much longer, more complex. But it's fine for the essentials that whole team must know.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Better range of pricing options vs. two other alternatives in the market.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better communication to our Biz Team team, to be more proactive in sharing (select) customer roadmaps.
Better visualization of critical, must-have customer capabilities for the roadmap, so key items don't get 'lost' in excessive internal data, even in a small company.

  ### 41. Aha Fits the Bill for Product Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanner H. | VP of Operations, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Aha has developed a suite of incredible tools that allow product managers and product owners to execute on strategy at every level. The broad overview is handled well by initiatives, goals, and releases. The day-to-day works great in tasks, features, and the like. Overall, there is a great balance of high level and low level prioritization of information.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

The only thing I dislike about Aha is the UI design. They really need to hire 1 or 2 UI focused designers who have done work on less technical apps so they can bring a fresh look. I know many of Aha’s customers are enterprise, but unfortunately the app looks enterprise in a bad way - ugly and a bit clunky.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Take time to think through your implementation and talk with one of their experts to get a good grasp on how Aha can shape and organize your teams work and ideas.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are outlining our release schedule and cascading that information down to the feature and to-do level. We are also placing information about our company and products at a high level in the top bins where everyone in the company can see them.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Hi Tanner

Thanks so much for your great review. We continuously improve our software and welcome your suggestions to make it even better. We encourage you to add your suggestions to our ideas portal at https://big.ideas.aha.io.

  ### 42. I like Aha

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

I like the vote feature which helps decide which ideas should be adopted for new product features.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Currently voting system accepts "supporting vote" only. Can I vote to "dislike"?

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Aha! team has done a great job to create a piece of wonderful software

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have visibility of the new features on the road map. I can contribute to new product features and vote to support other great ideas.

  ### 43. There is no Product problem Aha! cannot solve!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa M. | Product Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Every time that I have contacted the Aha! Product Management assistance team with what I fear are complex and unique problems, they have provided helpful and innovative solutions. I have never failed to provide my company with a solution when utilizing the knowledge of the Aha! team.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Nothing - anytime I feel I have found an issue, it is easily resolved by the Aha! team.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are in the process of improving our Product Development workflow at the enterprise level. By being able to utilize the integration features provided by Aha!, we have been able to greatly streamline our current process, eliminating redundancies and manual steps.

  ### 44. Aha! has completely transformed our product management practice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

Aha! has helped us immensely to structure and mature our product management practice. Maintaining product backlogs and maintaining roadmaps are perhaps the two main areas I like about Aha!. The roadmapping in particular, with the ability to publish internal and external dashboards have been a key enabler for us in communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Haven't come across much to dislike, their Support has been great at clarifying any queries along the way. There a few minor features which are in their roadmap and eager to see implemented.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maintaining a centralised product backlog, communicating with our internal (sales/account managers) and external (clients) stakeholders via published dashboards and the use of Aha! product ideas portal to elicit feedback from customers on new features.

  ### 45. Aha! Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

It's very easy to use, it has an excellent user-interface and requires little to no guidance.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

There's isn't anything that I currently dislike about this platform, will update the review in the future if that changes.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

I would recommend this platform, can be a little expensive depending on your budget or your organization size

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our projects becomes a lot easier with Aha!

  ### 46. The best piece of software a product-oriented team can own.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bret M. | Head Of Product Development, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The software was built for people iterating on the value inside of their product. The features are great, and simple to use, but more importantly I can see the decisions I have to make were a core part of the design of the application.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

The scorecard is a little rigid and doesn't accept copy / paste. Would prefer to be able to build my scorecard off of my feature custom fields instead of rebuilding my feature fields as metrics.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Don't start in MS Office and migrate over. Start in Aha. They have everything you need to be successful.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're building an MVP product. AHA is allowing us to get through difficult decisions in no time and track those decisions for weeks out when we have no idea why we made that decision.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a great review, Bret. And thank you for sharing your feedback on the Aha! scorecard. If you haven't already, please add your suggestion to our ideas portal (https://big.ideas.aha.io/). We continuously improve our software and welcome your suggestions to make it even better.

  ### 47. Planning at its best!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathy L. | Senior Portfolio Manager / Director of Product Management, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

With Aha, we keep a large organization up-to-date with critical product information, including timing and status of deliverables. I love that Aha is so flexible and accommodating - we were able to implement our process and customizations easily and get up and running quickly.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

I do wish there were a few things to help enforce process: Mandatory fields, structured workflows. Other than that, there isn't much that I would change!

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Aha to track company goals and initiatives and align work contributed by multiple teams at that level. We then use that information to feed roadmaps that we can easily share with the entire company via Confluence pages.

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Hi Kathy

Thanks for your wonderful review.

We would love to learn more about what you mean by structured workflows. Aha! provides the ability to configure statuses and workflows to match the way each team works. Here is an article that provides more details: https://support.aha.io/hc/en-us/articles/202148073

If need any help setting up your workflows, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@aha.io. Our Customer Success team are all former product managers and would love to answer any questions. If you have thoughts on how we could improve our workflow functionality, we would love you to submit an idea at https://big.ideas.aha.io/.

  ### 48. Great tool for submitting and collaborating on FRs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The simplified interface and usability. Also the integrations

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

I don't like that other team member can't edit my FRs

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

okrs, FR tracking, project management

  ### 49. Best Tool for Product Manager!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

- Ease of use
- Great feature set
- Great list of integrations
- Constant releases which improves the quality of the app

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

- Nothing I can think of right now! The overall UI looks a bit old comparing to the other applications out there like Jira, Asana, etc.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Defining roadmap
- Define goals and initiatives
- Define Features, epics, user stories
- Contribute with Design and Dev team
- Generating Reports
- Integration with Asana

**Official Response from Claire George:**

> Thank you so much for your awesome review. We appreciate how important the interface is to your overall user experience. Our goal is to provide a simple and consistent user experience throughout the application. We welcome your suggestions to make it even better. Please share your ideas and feedback at: https://big.ideas.aha.io/

  ### 50. Incredibly flexible and powerful solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Aha!?**

The custom tables and unique layout options for each screen gives us the flexibility we need to show information for all teams. It's easy to customize and configure so we can figure out the best ways to store and show information with low effort. The customer success team surpassed my expectations and they are true collaborators - they've come up the ramp to understand our business needs and develop the most creative solutions within the Aha! tool.

**What do you dislike about Aha!?**

Dislike is perhaps strong but there's some functionality that would be very useful to see sooner rather than later. We've posted it to the ideas board and the dev team does an incredible job of rolling out new features and upgrades all the time.

**Recommendations to others considering Aha!:**

Get clear around what you're trying to do with the information you keep in the tool and focus only on the right structures for that information.

**What problems is Aha! solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It started as a way of gathering up all product information, moved into roadmapping, and is continuing into strategic planning. It's helping the team to stay focused on the near-term realities and stay away from the myriad of possibilities of what could be.
