"Deep platform with a real learning curve - worth it once you commit"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Agentforce Marketing (formerly Salesforce Marketing Cloud)?

The depth is what keeps me coming back. Between SQL query activities, AMPscript and the API layer, there are very few requirements I cannot build. When a client asks for something genuinely specific, the platform almost always has a way, and that is not true of most marketing tools I have worked with.

Data Extensions are underrated. Not being locked to a CRM schema means we can model marketing data the way the use case actually needs it, which makes complex segmentation and dynamic content far more workable.

Automation Studio has been dependable at scale for us. Once a nightly setup of queries, imports and sends is configured properly, it runs. And Journey Builder handles genuine lifecycle logic rather than just simple drip sequences, which matters once you are past the basics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Agentforce Marketing (formerly Salesforce Marketing Cloud)?

The platform feels like several products stitched together across different eras, and it shows. Email Studio and Content Builder overlap in confusing ways, navigation is inconsistent between studios, and the same concept is often named differently depending on where you are standing.

It is also sold as marketer friendly, and in practice it is not. Getting real value out of it requires SQL and AMPscript, so teams either hire a developer or work at a fraction of the platform's capability. That gap should be communicated far more honestly during the sales process.

Error handling is my biggest daily frustration. When an automation fails, the message is often too vague to act on, and tracing what actually happened takes far longer than it should.

Integration with Salesforce core has also historically been more fragile than you would expect from two products from the same vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
