I’ve mainly used Photoshop for personal projects and for creating things where I want more control over the final image. It’s especially helpful when I need to remove something from a photo, make adjustments, combine different elements, or build a design from scratch.
What I like most is being able to start with something simple and keep refining it until it looks exactly how I want. There are a lot of tools, but once you get comfortable with the basics, it feels pretty straightforward to use. The newer AI features have also been useful for tasks like removing objects or extending an image, so I don’t have to do everything manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest drawback for me is the learning curve. There are so many tools and options that it can feel like overkill when I just want to make a quick edit.
Even some basic tasks take more steps than I’d expect, especially if you don’t use Photoshop regularly. With a few of the AI features, I also sometimes have to try several variations before I get exactly the result I’m looking for.
For serious image editing, it’s worth it, but if I only need a very quick change, I’d probably reach for a simpler tool instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
