I like that Adobe Media Encoder lets me queue multiple compositions and render them in the background while I work on another project in After Effects. I can start the renders with one click without reopening After Effects for each composition, which saves me time. I also like that I can convert videos to different file formats according to my preferences, and that it remembers my export settings for the next render so I don’t have to set them again for every composition. I find that Adobe Media Encoder often takes longer to render a composition than After Effects, though sometimes it takes about the same amount of time. I’d like to see the optimization and Nvidia CUDA GPU acceleration improved, and the time it takes to set up the Dynamic Link between After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder reduced.
