**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?**

I appreciate Adobe Illustrator's robust toolset for vector art manipulation and creation, which provides flexibility and precision with features like auto snapping and grid creation. The seamless integration with Creative Cloud simplifies software updates and setup considerably compared to using CDs in the past. Illustrator's ability to integrate with other Adobe products like Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere enhances its utility in creative projects, allowing efficient import of vector objects.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?**

I find there's more room for improvement in integrating Illustrator artwork into programs like Figma; currently, it involves a lot of copying and pasting artwork one piece at a time. An improved integration process that allows for creating a library of Illustrator artwork would be beneficial. Additionally, importing Illustrator files into After Effects is cumbersome and not very intuitive. There are many settings needed to ensure layers are editable, which complicates the process.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria T. | UX/UI Designer Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?**

I LOVE this tool because it’s the best for working with vectors and packaging design. It gives me total control over shapes, typography, and layout — everything stays super crisp and scalable. For packaging, Illustrator makes it easy to work with dielines, layers, and precise measurements. It’s my go-to for creating clean, professional designs that are print-ready.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?**

I don’t like that the UI feels outdated — it’s not as intuitive or modern as other design tools today. Honestly, the new Figma Draw could become a real competitor if it keeps improving, especially because its interface is so much easier to use. Also, I really miss native CMYK support. For a tool that’s supposed to be print-focused, not having CMYK anymore is a big downside. :(

**What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Illustrator solves the need for precise, scalable design — especially when working with logos, icons, and packaging layouts. It gives me full control over vector shapes, typography, and alignment, which is essential for professional print work. For packaging, it’s especially helpful to work with exact measurements and dielines. Having everything in one file, clean and organized, saves time and helps me deliver production-ready designs with confidence.

  ### 14. A powerful and essential tool for any graphic designer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Théau D. | Designer UX/UI, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Illustrator?**

What I love most about Adobe Illustrator is its versatility and the fluidity of the tool. Whether it's for creating interfaces, illustrations, or graphic compositions, everything is designed to save time and stay creative. Like all Adobe tools, it's a must-have in its field, perfectly integrated into a complete ecosystem.

If I have to emphasize a specific point of my usage, I would say that I use image vectorization a lot, which allows me to quickly transform sketches or visuals into usable elements. To that, I could add the new AI features that make my work even easier for brainstorming my initial ideas.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Illustrator?**

What I miss the most about Adobe Illustrator is the ability to collaborate in real-time on the same file. Being able to work together, live, would be a real advantage for team projects. For now, we have to limit ourselves to updating the file with each use...

**What problems is Adobe Illustrator solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the true strengths of Adobe Illustrator is the precision and flexibility of exporting. Unlike other more limited tools, Illustrator allows me to control exactly the format, resolution, transparent background, margins, areas to export, and even color profiles. Whether it's for web, print, or animation, I can adapt my exports without having to go through a third-party software. It's a real time saver and a guarantee of quality for delivering files perfectly suited to the needs.
