## Adobe Audition Reviews
 ### 1. Comprehensive, Intuitive Audio Editing with Seamless Creative Cloud Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kylee B. | Director of Marketing & Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

It is comprehensive and allows me to edit podcast and music files (both fo audio only and for video) with full control over my clips. The interface - while it has tons of tools and can at first look overwhelming - is intuitive and easy to learn, and visually makes it easy to edit clips. It also communicates will with the other Adobe Create Cloud apps that I use like Premiere Pro.

I can fix audio issues on my clips with ease, accuracy, and no one will know that the clip is even edited! Performance is second-to-none as far as I'm concerned. There is nothing left "wanting" in terms of what's on the market to mix and edit audio.

I use this mainly to edit podcasts, as well as to fix sound on video recordings of our school's concerts. I have occasionally used it to fix or enhance audio on other videos (more dialogue based as necessary) when Premiere Pro doesn't have enough audio capabilities.

It's ability to use Auto-ducking and studio sound provide solid AI capabilities and create great sound with minimal work on my end.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I do think it could do a little better on the AI side, and I wish there was a built-in transcripting feature. That would add great value to this product. As it is, I use Descript to transcribe and text-edit my audio. If Audition had transcripting and the ability to edit audio by editing the transcript, that would be more helpful for me.

Audition can sometimes feel like a little "too much" for my uses, as I'm not creating albums or mixing complicated music very often, so sometimes I think I'm not getting the value out of it that many others who do music mixing regularly would get.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making the audio on our videos and our podcasts sound professional and clear.

 ### 2. Powerful Noise Reduction and Multitrack Editing for Pro-Sounding Audio

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aadey . | Video Editor, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The best thing I like is that I can use a variety of tools in the software, like noise reduction and multitrack audio editing. These features help me create professional-sounding audio and voiceovers for my videos, which I later import into Premiere Pro.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

One issue I had before was that it used to crash, but these days it doesn’t crash very often. Also, at the beginning I didn’t have much knowledge about this software, so I had to watch tutorials and work on a few practice projects to get comfortable with it. Because of that, it was a little hard for me to learn at first.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Audition helps me create professional voiceovers for my videos. I can edit my raw audio files, clean them up, trim them, adjust the levels, and remove unwanted background noise. When I’m done, I import the finished audio into my Premiere Pro project and continue editing my video with the voiceover I polished in Adobe Audition.

 ### 3. Powerful, Pro Level Audio Editing with Adobe Audition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzammil M. | Founder – Muzammil Graphic | Interior and Graphic Designer | Transforming Spaces and Brands Visually , Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I have been using Adobe Audition for the past 4 years, and it has been a great experience. When I first started using it, the interface felt a little different and slightly complex compared to other audio editing tools. However, once I became familiar with the layout, everything started to feel smooth and well-organized. What I like best about Adobe Audition is its powerful feature set. It offers excellent tools for sound editing, voice enhancement, and professional-level mixing. The noise reduction and audio cleanup features are especially impressive removing background noise, hiss, or unwanted sounds is very easy and effective. The multitrack editing option also makes it simple to manage multiple audio layers for podcasts, voiceovers, and music projects. Adobe Audition provides high-quality results and gives full control over audio editing, which makes it one of the best tools for creators and professionals.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

beginners. When I first started using it, I found it a bit confusing because there are so many tools, panels, and advanced options available. It takes time to fully understand where everything is and how to use it efficiently. Another downside is that it can be heavy on system resources. On lower-end systems, it may lag or take time to process effects, especially when working on large multitrack projects. Also, since it’s part of Adobe Creative Cloud, the subscription cost can feel expensive for freelancers or small creators. Once you get used to it, it becomes easier to manage, but the learning curve and pricing could definitely be improved.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using Adobe Audition for the past four years, and it has solved many important audio related problems for me, especially in my freelance projects. Before using Adobe Audition, I often struggled with extending audio tracks, cleaning background noise, and properly mixing sound for videos. Many online tools and basic editing software did not provide the level of control or quality that I needed. One specific problem Adobe Audition solved for me was extending nature sounds smoothly. I once needed to increase a natural ambient sound from 30 minutes to 1 hour. On most online platforms, extending audio is not easy. You usually have to manually copy and paste sections, and sometimes the transitions are noticeable or the quality drops. However, in Adobe Audition, I was able to use the looping and multitrack features to extend the sound seamlessly. The audio remained smooth, natural, and continuous without obvious cuts or repetition issues. This saved me a lot of time and helped me deliver better results. Another major benefit for me has been audio cleanup and enhancement. In freelance video editing projects, audio quality is extremely important. Clients expect clear voice, balanced background music, and no distracting noise. AdobAudition’s noise reduction, equalization, compression, and mixing tools allow me to professionally clean voice recordings and improve overall sound quality. Instead of struggling with limited features in online editors, I can fine tune every detail of the audio. It has also helped me manage multitrack projects more efficiently. When working on videos, I often need to handle voiceovers, background music, sound effects, and ambient sounds together. The multitrack editor makes it easy to organize and adjust each layer properly. This improves my workflow and makes complex projects much more manageable. In the beginning, the workspace felt slightly overwhelming because there are many tools and panels. However, after spending some time learning the interface, I realized that it is actually well-designed and powerful. Once you understand the layout, the workflow becomes smooth and efficient.
AdobeAudition has helped me save time, improve audio quality, and deliver professional results to my freelance clients. It gives me full control over sound editing, which is something I did not find in simpler tools. Because of its reliability, advanced features, and high quality output, I would confidently rate it 10 out of 10. Even today, whenever I need professional audio editing, I still choose Adobe Audition.

 ### 4. Multitrack Editing and Noise Reduction That Make Audio Cleanup Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The best thing i like in adobe audition is that is has multitrack editing feature like i can easily mix multiple audio tracks of my voiceovers and background musics and also the noise reduction feature which removes the unwanted noise from the audio that helps me a lot.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

One thing I don’t like is that, in the beginning, I had no idea how to use it, so I had to watch a couple of tutorials to get comfortable. Also, on my previous laptop it used to lag because of my laptop’s specs, but now it’s good.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me edit and clean up my voiceover audio easily, and I can mix it without any hassle. I’m also able to adjust levels and pitch, which helps me create a more professional-sounding audio track that I later use for my video.

 ### 5. Simple to Use, High-Standard Audio Mastering for Audiobooks and Documentaries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kevin k. | ceo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Audition is an extraordinary program. It’s simple to use, and it lets me create great soundtracks for my audiobooks. I also produce professional documentaries using some superb cameras, including the Sony A1. Audition imports a wide variety of audio formats and is capable of mastering audio to a high standard.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

i do wish it was a full blown DAW, but it is sufficient for my work with professional audio recording.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before I acquired audition, background and wind noise was an issue. Rather than sending my files out, which was time consuming and expensive, I was able to get a perfect file in an easy to use, but professional program.

 ### 6. 25 Years Later, Adobe Audition Remains My Essential Go-To Audio Editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent H. | Audio / Video Engineer, E-Learning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I’ve been a faithful user of Adobe Audition for over 25 years. I’ve used it to produce radio commercials, record and edit podcast episodes, and enhance audio for video projects.

Audition gives me a level of control over my work that I haven’t found in other audio editors. In the Multitrack View, I can freely move and arrange audio clips to stack voice-overs, music beds, and sound effects exactly the way I want.

I also like that I can apply effects to audio in both the Waveform Editor and the Multitrack View. Adding effects is straightforward: I highlight the audio, choose the effect I want, and hit apply. It’s also helpful that I can preview what the effect will sound like first, especially if I’m considering a different direction.

And when I’m working with other Adobe programs like Premiere Pro or After Effects, the Dynamic Link feature makes it easy to edit and update changes to my Audition files.

I use Audition nearly every day for work projects, whether I’m making small audio tweaks or recording voice-overs.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Unlike After Effects, Adobe Audition doesn’t let you organize your files into separate folders. It would be extremely helpful to have the option to create folders within a project—for example, dedicated folders for voice-overs, sound effects, sequences, and any other elements you’re working with—so everything stays organized while you build a project.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Audition gives me a level of control over my projects that has helped me develop a workflow where I can work faster and more efficiently. I’m able to create and save a multitrack sequence—almost like a pre-made template—for projects that I regularly edit and update on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The effects tools they offer also let me create more creative content, and the precision of the Multitrack Editor helps me refine my edits exactly the way I want.

 ### 7. Powerful Audio Editing, Steep Learning Curve, PRICEY!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curran M. | Integrated Marketing Product Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I like that everything you can imagine needing from sound in either Adobe Premiere or Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition can do tenfold. When editing a podcast and needing way more sound engineering capabilities, Adobe Audition is the way to go because it has the depth of tools available. If you're already a Creative Cloud user, you might as well be using Adobe Audition.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition's interface can be a little bit more overwhelming. The learning curve is pretty steep. It's challenging to find where things are or how to do certain things compared to Adobe Premiere, where it's easier to drag and drop or right-click to find what I need.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Audition solves issues with room audio having too much noise and allows me to apply complex sound effects like making audio sound like it's from a radio or telephone.

Adobe can quickly and seamlessly fix and edit audio clips. It has so many great effects that it can fix many audio issues that would have been considered unfixable years ago.
