What do you like best about AccountEdge?

I appreciate AccountEdge's robust desktop-grade general ledger functionality, which is specifically designed for small-business clients. It effectively handles complex journal entries and maintains clear transaction trails, making it easier for us to manage a client's year-end close. I particularly value the thorough general-ledger and audit trail capabilities that preserve full histories of journal entries, invoice edits, and payment adjustments. These features help our IT-free lean team stay compliant and meet critical tax-filing deadlines without needing in-house IT support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AccountEdge?

At Prairie State Accounting Advisors, AccountEdge lacks modern native cloud integrations that our multi-client workflow demands. When completing month-end work for a retail client, we manually imported bank transaction CSV files. Our lean team has no in-house IT, and this manual import process added repetitive overhead, eating up valuable time we needed to meet tight tax-filing closing deadlines. Additionally, setting up AccountEdge was partially straightforward yet came with configuration hurdles, especially when onboarding new clients, which required repeated manual field adjustments and extra trial-and-error on tax-related settings.
