I value AccountEdge's robust general-ledger customization because it lets us tailor account mappings for diverse small-business clients, which speeds up trial-balance reviews during tax season. What do you dislike about AccountEdge?

AccountEdge’s cloud sharing capabilities feel limited for our firm. When tax season ramps up, our contract bookkeepers struggle to access client files smoothly. We frequently export ledger files manually to share data, which adds extra steps and raises the risk of version-control mistakes for our small IT-less team. It needs real-time multi-user cloud access for external contract bookkeepers. Right now, we send exported ledger files back-and-forth. Built-in permission controls would let contractors edit assigned client books directly, eliminating file-version mix-ups that slow down our tax-season deliverable preparation. We pair AccountEdge with our cloud document platform and CRM. There is no native integration, so we manually copy ledger summaries into client records. During peak tax season, we export financial reports and attach them to client folders, creating repetitive manual work for our small team without dedicated IT staff. Basic installation went smoothly, yet migrating decades-worth of small-business client ledger data proved cumbersome. Our team manually cleaned and mapped account entries.
