Previous LMS hosts I’ve used were a hassle and took a long time to learn how to use. Most other LMS products are so complex, they required a separate role to be Learning tech support so that I could get help with my tasks as a Learning Designer. I love that the user-friendliness of Absorb allows me to poke around and find my own solutions easily. It’s very intuitive, so I find it easy to navigate. But I also find the search bar and suggested tags to be very clever- they seem to know exactly what I need based off my previous interactions. Absorb’s LMS makes me feel empowered. Before, I had to schedule time weekly or monthly with another person to get a simple report or upload a SCORM to the LMS. Now, I can assign courses, pull reports, and upload content in a second without anyone’s assistance. That makes me feel like a useful member of Talent Development and I feel confident that I can save my company money by taking on the tasks that would normally be allocated to a separate job role. I cannot say how much I appreciate Absorb Create as an add-on to the LMS. It is seamlessly connected for easy upload and updates but it is also an incredibly simply but powerful authoring tool. Create can produce similar content to that of Articulate Storyline without the oldschool layout or hours upon hours of training. I think it’s an amazing tool for beginner Learning Designers as well as experienced ones who want to pull off projects quickly and with ease. Above all, the constant support and attention of our Account Manager (Kayla C) and Client Success Manager (Olga M.) is what makes Absorb so great to partner with. They always respond quickly and keep up a regular cadence to check in on functions and things we want to achieve. They never shy away from complicated programs and are always eager to find a way to make Absorb work for us. They are a huge reason why I think this program is such a good fit for our company and team. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** Any issues I've had before stemmed from a lack of knowledge about the system and were quickly resolved through a conversation with my Client Success Manager. There could be solutions in the making, but I do wish the Time to Complete on external courses could be tracked accurately or that Absorb Create would enact a "triggers" function similar to Articulate Storyline. While they aren't available now, there are workarounds so it's not difficult to achieve my vision in these areas. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Absorb is helping us standardize our training from annual compliance to safety courses and more. With it all available in one place, we can then properly assign and report on completions which is a huge deal for remaining compliant and ensuring we are reaching our audience. It was almost difficult to create an Absorb User Training because it just seemed so obvious on how to navigate and complete assigned trainings. The possible automation of training assignments and reminders is incredibly helpful and takes more off my plate as the T&D Manager to get people assigned the right material and not have to chase after to complete their trainings. Absorb Amplify is also a huge benefit as we are able to implement and deliver compliance trainings much faster. The customer support is incredibly quick to help and so friendly. I can't say enough nice things about our personal account manager and client success manager. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** There are certain features or functions that I think would be incredibly beneficial to most Absorb customers that are not implemented. It is possible to suggest or vote on an idea, but I do not believe the process for getting those ideas into the system is quick. The thing that makes the LMS an amazing experience is its amazing customer support - for any sort of issue, our CSM Greg Law is able to coordinate with the Absorb support team to investigate and troubleshoot to help us gain a better understanding of how the system works. For any features that aren't available, I have been able to submit ideas into the Ideas Portal with ease and track these requests without any hassle. Overall, the LMS is a great system and I highly recommend it. Initially we were unable to configure specific notifications for different dates (so a learner would get the same notification whether they were 20 days remaining or 5 days remaining, but that has been addressed with a recent update). We also struggle with the org structure, we'd like to be able to assign access to back-end reporting and have more fine grained control over what level of access to give to an Admin but right now it seems rather a la carte. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We really appreciate all of the consistent updates, this summer's updates included more granular notifications and better abilities for assigning course access is all incredibly appreciated. The admin interface is very easy to use (once we learned the system - Absorb was our first LMS). We have 3,000 users who regularly use the LMS and it works consistently well. The customer support is great. We work with Billy Emig and he is very responsive and knowledgeable. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** While it is easy to run reports on individual courses, it is difficult to view enrollments in all (or a large set of courses). Certificate expiration notices are limited in that they they are global to the system and can't be customized by course, which is problematic for us. Our implementation was a little rocky, but the support services have improved GREATLY over the years, so I think if we were to go through the process again, it would be better. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Absorb allows us to assign required courses easily and the reenrollment features are easy to use. We have some compliance courses with complicated rules by location, and Absorb handles it perfectly. We also need to provide a lot of health & safety training, and we are able to easily upload our own courses or SCORM files we get from other vendors. Course set up is consistently easy. ### 12. The support we received during the implementation is unmatched. We had so many specifications that needed to be met and they were great to collaborate with me so that we could meet all of our needs. After care has also been outstanding. Greg, Emma, Raj, and the rest of the team have been truly spectacular. We meet with them as needed and have check ins throughout the month just to touch base and go over anything we may need. We use the product multiple times a day, the admin side of the portal is intuitive and easy to use. We are very happy with this product! **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** We haven't really found a downside, but if I had to say something - it would just be getting used to not being able to code/customize the LMS as we used to in our previous LMS. That can be looked at as a good thing though, as I am the only admin, having to code for UX or to fix a bug takes ages. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Absorb is helping us to provide more content through Amplify Max. We have access to so many courses now and don't have to wait the extended period for me to design each one. This opens up time for me to focus on industry or company specific training rather than focusing on soft skill/compliance training. Absorb has also helped us keep contact with our field employees after training sessions via Communities - these forums can be public or private and can help keep the managers in touch with each other after they have completed a session, building a community of peers. As a one-woman training team rolling out an LMS for a fast-growing retail business, I needed something powerful but user-friendly. Absorb gave me full control to automate enrolments, link competencies, mix in pre-built and bespoke content, and build a system that’s easy for our team to use (even the not-so-techy ones!). The other big win? The support. I didn’t just get handed a platform and left to figure it out — I had real people behind me. Our Implementation Manager was a lifesaver during setup, and our Client Success Manager (shoutout to Brittney!) continues to be a total gem. It allows you to really finely grab the information you need about the groups and courses you want. I also really love the experience of having a dedicated support team member (CSM) assigned to us to help us with specific issues we may be having and to keep me updated on whatever new things are being implemented by the LMS. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** Some of the integrations with 3rd party authoring tools is occasionally weak, and could use a little more power. Though Analyze is very powerful, it is confusing to use for someone who is not familiar with it. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Without Absorb we would have nowhere to host our courses. The process to setup courses and curriculums in Absorb are user/admin friendly and I appreciate the simplicity of the software. In addition, Absorb Create offers another eLearning development tool to my toolkit that expands my course offerings. Absorb Create is an intuitive tool that allows me to create engaging, professional-looking course with ease. This feature of Absorb makes the investment well worth it. Our CSM, Maggie Stillman, is awesome and provides excellent customer feedback whenever an issues arises. Overall, Absorb is a great LMS that provides immense ROI for both users and administrators. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** Gamification features are still minimal and I could see Absorb benefitting tremendously by having this feature enhanced somewhat for users. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reporting is great, but there are additional filters that are needed to get exactly what is needed for admins to view and analyze. Their implementation team did a great job providing training and support. It was the smoothest, most stress free, and trouble free implementation I have ever gone through. This included an integration with our SSO provider and HRIS system. Their support is exceptional as well. We have a dedicated Client Success Manager, Tomislav Crnkovic, who is the best CSM I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is knowledge of the platform is deep and broad, he is incredibly responsive, and provides extensive answers to our questions. The platform itself is easy to use and intuitive. We did very little end user training, and have had very few requests for user support. Users are able to navigate the system easily and without trouble, which reduces support tickets. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** From an administrative perspective the system is click heavy. Absorb is doing a great job to reduce this with the addition of AI powered filters and other enhancements. Additionally, the basic reporting functionality leaves a lot to be desired. Absorb wants you to purchase their reporting add-on in order to create custom reports and dashboards. That said, the basic reporting is sufficient for most of the reporting we need to do. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Absorb to provide compliance training, soft skills training, instructor led courses, safety training, and use their Create add-on for content creation. We chose Absorb because of the development roadmap, consistent improvements, ease of implementation, and the ability for our field employees to download courses, complete them when they don't have service, and then upload completion when they are back online.
