Previous Response: What I like best about Absorb is how well it handles a multi-brand setup. We run four brands under one company, and being able to give learners access to separate branded portals from a single platform is a big deal for us. It lets each brand keep its own look and course catalogue without us having to manage completely separate systems. Content upload is also straightforward. We author in Articulate Rise and Storyline and publish as SCORM or xAPI, and packages generally import and track without much fuss. That flexibility has let us do more custom things too, like a multi-language launcher that lets learners pick their language before starting a course. On the admin side, setting up enrollments for mandatory training is simple, which makes company-wide rollouts (like compliance or onboarding courses for all European employees) manageable for a small L&D team. Previous Response: The biggest limitation for us is the package size cap. We produce multilingual product training (up to nine languages in one course), and fitting everything under the 2GB limit means spending a lot of time compressing and re-encoding videos rather than improving the content itself. For companies with video-heavy or multi-language courses, this becomes a real bottleneck. Working with custom xAPI setups can also take some trial and error. When we built our own language-selector launcher, we ended up validating it in SCORM Cloud first to make sure the behaviour was right before relying on Absorb, because troubleshooting directly in the LMS wasn't always transparent. Finally, for a mid-sized organisation, the cost and the level of control can feel out of balance. We'd like more freedom to customise the learner experience and integrate with our own portals.
