Flawless Conversion Tool, A CPA's Best Ally - other than my brain **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** James M. **Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025 **What do you like best about Able2Extract Professional?** I find Able2Extract Professional absolutely precious for me as it essentially automates tasks that I've struggled with using other conversion products. The product exports to Excel flawlessly, with numbers converting smoothly from clear images and the resulting Excel sheet being perfect. I have no issues with the conversion of nomenclature and numbers, which it handles accurately, discriminating between report headings, column headings, words, and numbers quite well. This software has saved me a lot of time, roughly three days of input, by recreating a general ledger from a PDF. I am particularly pleased that there is no monthly fee and the one-time license is a huge upside for me. I don't usually endorse products, but Able2Extract Professional exceeded my expectations. Also, the installation process was intuitive when I added the product code. **What do you dislike about Able2Extract Professional?** I think you should offer to accept Venmo or PayPal or some other trustworthy medium that will protect the customer's specific identity, and even charge the fees to use those methods, or take a check. That is a problem for me. **What problems is Able2Extract Professional solving and how is that benefiting you?** Able2Extract Professional saves me time by accurately converting PDFs to Excel, maintaining flawless nomenclature and numbers. It distinguishes report and column headings automatically and exports perfect Excel sheets, reducing my manual input time significantly. ### 2. Most conversion programs just have 1 format and often there's more fluff to weed out than when you started. **What do you dislike about Able2Extract Professional?** I don't care for the positioning of the preview screen at the bottom of the document being extracted from. I would love to see an option to have the original document and the preview side by side. **What problems is Able2Extract Professional solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am able to take PDF files of payroll reports and transform them into excel files that c an much more easily be formatted for importing into the various software platforms I use daily. ### 4. I previously used Adobe to convert and Able2Extract is significantly more accurate. I convert all these files directly to excel. **What do you dislike about Able2Extract Professional?** It takes a while to convert multiple files and have them all one the same Excel. It also needs better functionality to remove passwords and watermarks from PDFs. **What problems is Able2Extract Professional solving and how is that benefiting you?** I receive financials in PDF format and need to convert them to Excel. Adobe doesn't do a great job at this. Able2Extract almost always converts them in perfect format and requires little additional work from me. ### 5. Able2Extract’s OCR is fast and accurate, even with low-quality scans. I tried many PDF converter tools to convert .dwg into pdf, but as I experienced, able2extract is one of the best tools. Able2Extract Professional also delivers great value for all that functionality, as the costs of using this software are very reasonable and fair. **What do you dislike about Able2Extract Professional?** Nothing that I have encountered so far, and I have been using it for over 5 years. **Recommendations to others considering Able2Extract Professional:** If you need a PDF extractor, Able2Extract Professional is an excellent choice. **What problems is Able2Extract Professional solving and how is that benefiting you?** The accounting software we use does not always provide a process for extracting data to Excel and that is wher Able2Extract Professional comes in. Any report can be printed to PDF and then extracted to PDF with Able2Extract Professional. Over the years they have provided increasing ability to customize what you extract as well. The PDF editing capabilities have also come in handy, although I don't do a great deal of PDF editing. ### 7. The OCR and data extraction functions also help me a lot. **What do you dislike about Able2Extract Professional?** Open PDF files created in other software are affected in Able2Extract, since in some versions the image of the documents may be distorted or the structure of the document may appear messy. **Recommendations to others considering Able2Extract Professional:** I recommend the use of Able2Extract for companies that have the initiative to transform their physical documents to digital.
