"Advanced solver for implicit/explicit analysis"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Abaqus?

Compared to other FEA solvers, it’s easier to read the input file, and I like being able to use defined names instead of numbers (as in the Nastran family of solvers). Very helpful is the nearly full integration between explicit and implicit solvers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Abaqus?

Preprocessor: Despite its capabilities, it’s very difficult to work with. Many options can’t be read from the solver input file because they aren’t supported. So, to preprocess models, you need a good preprocessor Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
